The Hotel Domus Florentia is situated in the heart of the old city, opposite the central Santa Maria Novella railway station and just a few steps from the Duomo, the major museums and monuments and the conference centre. This is a new hotel offering ideal access to the main tourist attractions. Although a 3-star property, the overall standard of this hotel can certainly be compared to a 4-star hotel. DO 04. 2008. The hotel is housed on one floor in a 3-storey Renaissance building dating back to 1500. All the rooms have parquet floors and are furnished in a warm and very elegant style. All are fully equipped with modern facilities. The lobby is elegantly furnished, small in size and warmly decorated, with marble flooring. The seating area is composed of two comfortable cream-coloured sofas and a glass coffee table with flowers. Walls are cream-coloured, and there is a big and bright chandelier in the middle of the room. Behind the sofas, there is a stairway to the upper floor. The American bar is wooden, furnished with chairs and small sofas. This is a small, luxurious hotel with a breakfast room only. 4 kms to the nearest airport (peretola), 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, Close to the station (s. m novella).
