Convenient to Tampa airport. The room was very dirty - carpet wet and dirty. The room was laid out nicely, bathroom okay, but the carpeting was very dirty and stained and wet all over. The walls were dirty. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. They charge for port cribs. This hotel was beautiful and very convenient to the airport. The staff was very friendly and the beds were very comfortable.

This hotel was very clean and accomodating. The service to and from the airport is prompt. They will also take you to and from the pier if you are going on a cruise. When we returned from the cruise we had seven hours before our flight and they held our luggage and we were able to use the pool and relax before they brought us to the airport. Amazing! They are only about 1/2 mile from a mall also. Excellent hotel for the price. I travel all year round and usually stay at upper class hotels, but I would stay for business at this Double Tree anytime!

Beds were good. Air conditioning did not work, room was old and in need of remodeling. Hotel was old; air conditioning did not work properly. No amenities. Food in the restaurant was well below expectations. Staff was friendly. Would not want this hotel again.

The reasonably priced buffet breakfast and the cold room. Asked room attendant for a waste can for the bathroom-did not get one. The doubletree hotel is conveniently located in Tampa's west shore district. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The cookies, presented upon arrival, were warm and delicious. The staff was friendly. The pool area is well kept and landscaped nicely.

Close to the airport with free shuttle. Room key demagnetized several times. Big pain in the neck! Great hotel if you need to be close to the airport.

Lobby was very beautiful and spacious, with plenty of seats. Despite calling in advance, handicap accessible accommodations had not been noted on our reservation. We had to call the front desk 3 times to get the primary light bulb in the bathroom replaced. It wasn't until the third call when we told them our TV wasn't working that they came to help us. Later, when we went down to the hot tub on Saturday evening someone had left a hose in it - it was overflowing everywhere and obviously compromised the temperature in the hot tub. My husband found the faucet and turned the hose off. We never saw a staff member come out to check it the entire 30 minutes we were down there. I never saw typical Doubletree standards except in the lobby. We utilized the hotel restaurant on Sat morning for the breakfast buffet- there was only one other occupied table so much of the buffet looked like it had been out for a while without attention, and I'm still trying to figure out the lack of attention from the wait staff with so few tables occupied. You could hear the employees rolling silverware near by and talking loudly.

1) 5 min after our supposed to be 3 but 4 o'clock check-in they knocked on the door to clean our room.2) Pool was being resurfaced and they didn't tell us when we booked3) Put us in a handicapped room with no tub to give our 1 1/2 yr old a bath4) shower head that was detachable would not attach to the wall so we had to hold it up while showering5)asked for a shuttle to a restaurant...no problem...called for a ride back and they said 20 min...got picked up 1 1/2 hours later6) toilet overflowed7) cable was reg. TV with good reception plus HBO (about 20 chanels)8) out of date rooms

I made my reservation solely on proximity to the airport and my past experience at a DoubleTree Suites Hotel in the Chicago area. There is a reason that the only reviews are negative. I made the mistake of not reading them before making my plans. The room was not ready for over an hour after check-in time. The restaurant food and service was awful, they didn't even have the items on the menu available. The fitness equipment was in poor repair and unusable, the game room was locked and the wireless internet accessibility comes at a price. Do not make the mistake I did, stay anywhere else.

The rooms are disgusting and smell like basements. The limited roomservice and restaurants dont open early enough for business travellers. The gym equipment is unsafe. My room was not cleaned by 4pm, in fact they started to clean it and stopped half way through.. so it was dirtier than when I left it. Few parking spaces available after dark. DONT STAY HERE.

My friends and I stayed here for the Outback Bowl this year; The location of the hotel and rooms were great however the barstaff was horrible; they were rude and the service was terrible considering how much money we spent in a bar that on any other night(s) is lucky to see 2 people the entire evening. Go Penn State!!

Staff, prompt responses and the location. Entry was very nice rest building older and outdated. I would use this hotel again but hopefully they will be working on upgrading the rest of the hotel. The staff was helpful and they double checked on whatever your issue was to assure that it was solved.

Location near airport was very convenient. Very dirty, very noisy, in bad need of renovation. The location is excellent. However, our first room had such a loud AC that we had to switch rooms at 2 AM. The second room was better, but very damp and also noisy. The common areas need some serious work. All in all, not a 3-star hotel. Maybe a 2. Don't expect too much.

The doubletree cookies were good. Although the room was clean, the hotel needed new carpet and the elevators needed to be cleaned. The lobby of the hotel was very clean and presentable until you started walking to your room. The carpet needed to be replaced and the elevators were slow and dirty. However, the room that we stayed in was clean.

Cookies at check-in, yumm! Our long track to our room till we found another elevator. The are currently renovating, and our room was stale smelling, we only stayed for one night so I did not report to get a new room and we had to set the air to 65 to get it to cool down, and it was still warm the air unit was loud, other than that it was a nice place to rest our heads before going to the ZOO with out 2 year old son, I loved the towels, and bedding, TV did not have a lot to choose.

Location. The hotel accommodations were very tired. I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The air conditioner was temperamental, the beds weren't comfortable, and the decorating was tired.
