Hotel bedroom very noisy outside. Fan from ventilation extract across road very very noisy. Entrance to nightclub across the road also very noisy during the early hours. Not able to open the bedroom window for ventilation due to the noise!Generally an OK hotel apart from the noise. Very central.

The only problem - but a major one at that - was the noise from the street. The hotel is next to a night club, and a lot of its guests go out for a smoke throughout the night, and are very loud, making it very hard to get any sleep at all. The breakfast was not great, but oh well. The front desk was extremely helpful, and the location is good. If they put soundproof windows in, I'd stay there again - but, as things are, I'd rather find a more quiet location.

We were 2 couples staying for one night only as we were going to a boxing match in the national stadium. The hotel was clean however there appeared a problem with our booking in that one room with one adult in each had been booked on line but that could have been a mistake on our part. The hotel did get it sorted but one of the double rooms was a very small one and the bed - a double - was just that and no more as was so in the larger double. Need to change your beds. We went into the bar attached to the hotel for a meal and it was very poor. It took ages to come, was partly cold and although the waitress was lovely and kindly sorted it, it still wasn't great or what was asked for but due to time issues we ate up and got out. Our bill was slightly reduced. We came back later for a quiet drink and a chat in the hotel or the bar we had eaten in - no chance!!!! Ok it was saturday night but it was hiving and very noisy - obviously for a young crowd. We had one drink and left for bed - no chance of sleeping either!!!! Music went on til all hours - the whole street was lively for many hours. Not my best choice ever but for one night we coped. Breakfast the next day was nice. Oh, if you ewant to leave to head home early - don't use the car park round the corner as it doesn't open til 11 am on a sunday. Good luck.

Good central location, a pub (The Hairy Lemon) is opposite so there will be noise from that (I was woken at 6am by barrels being thrown about while the dray van was doing an exchange. Good sized room though. I had a number of problems on the first night (Whole floor smelled of dry cleaning fluid, room smelled bad, explosive hot water tap, cold shower, telephone not working) but all seemed to be fixed the second night after I meentioned them to the receptionist. The breakfasts were ok, but you don't get much coffee unless you either ask for it or the waitress feels in the mood. There isn't really much to the hotel on the reception floor, just a lobby and a lift. Personally I prefer a traditional hotel.
