We're just back from Paris and couldn't be happier with our experience at the Elysees Union Hotel. The location is perfectly situated for the metro, walking to the Champs Elysees and the Eifel Tower. We easily took the metro to the Louvre but took a taxi to Mont Martre / Sacre Coure. We were traveling with our three kids (10, 12, 14) and the hotel was comfortable, clean and safe. As a matter of convenience ... by night our kids were so tired that we didn't feel up to a late night out or a wasted expensive dinner and we were able to have Pizza Hut take out. McDonalds and Starbucks are also an option along the Champs Elysees. We also felt comfortable leaving our kids in the hotel for a few hours in the evening when they were just too tired to take another step. Next door to the hotel is a small take out shop with great pastas and sandwiches. The staff was very friendly and helpful ... we will definitely stay here again! The Murray's, California

"We loved staying here. It was extremely convenient to the Champs Elysees, the Arc and Eiffel Tower. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They spoke English. Restaurants were all around, an ATM on the corner close to Metro. I would highly recommend it."

BEWARE! THESE PICTURES ARE NOT FOR THIS HOTEL!!!! However, that being said, this is a really nice little hotel on a side street in a very nice neighboorhood, within easy walking distance to the Eiffel Tower and the Arc. There is metro stop on the next street over and you can pick up/ be dropped of by the Air France bus a couple of blocks away. There is a small market on the street downstairs and each room has a mini fridge. Quite enjoyed my stay here and would stay again.

"Overall it is worth the money. Our room was newly renovated, but much of the hallways and stairwells needed some attention. One little surprise, online price does not include breakfast, so go to the local ""boulangerie"" for a better and cheaper breakfast"

The Elysees Union Hotel is an excellant mid-priced hotel for your Paris vacation. It's located about half way between the Arch d' Triumph and the Trocodaro (Eiffel Tower) and both are within relatively easy walking distance. We requested a room with v. good air conditioning for my husband and we were given a first (second) floor room adjacent the elevator and proximate the stairs. The staff was outstanding, very friendly and helpful. The beds are a bit stiff for our liking and were the low point of the room (now becoming a common hotel fixture everywhere). The room did need some minor touch-ups but the location was excellent for our requested needs. They already had a cot set up for our 13 year old daughter when we checked in. Very smooth check in and check out. The hotel was close to the Boissierre Metro stop (line 6). Kleber Ave (off of which Rue Admiral Hamelin ran) was busy into the night hours so the area felt very safe even later at night. Many resturants are close by and a small store next door was convenient for fresh fruit and lilght groceries. We would just get fruit and light pasteries for breakfast. Overall an excellent choice for a 3 star hotel. *My apologies to Ulysses.

The staff was very courteous and enjoyable. Breakfast is served in your room at no extra charge. The location is very convenient to public transit and the Avenue des Champs-Élysées. Many dining options located within the area. Easy tour bus connections located nearby. Overall, a great experience and we would recommend this hotel without reservation for someone looking for a place in the $150 to $200 a night range in the heart of Paris.

This lovely, charming hotel was comfortable, clean, and incredibly well-located. Just 3 blocks from Arc de Triomphe and about a 20 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, it is also just a few blocks from Champs Elysees, and surrounded by nice sidewalk cafes. Also, from our 6th floor room, we could see the Eiffel Tower (which, we discovered, is lit up after dark!). The room was small by American standards, but clean, comfortable and completely adequate. They have a very nice continental breakfast (which costs extra, but is worth it). The staff speak English, and were courteous and helpful. We would love to return some day!

My two teenage daughters and I, just got back from our 5 day wonderful stay at the Elysees Union. You will not be dissapointed when the first thing you see as you walk outside and look to your left, the Eiffel Tower greeting you. First time in Paris and was a bit nervous traveling with my girls, all that went away since the neighborhood, the staff, proximity to deli, cafes, major landmarks, everyone speaking English, we felt so welcomed and at home. There is a deli just in the corner, but we asked about a grocery store just a few blocks away and were able to bring home cheeses, pates, packed pastries to friends and family at very affordable prices. Museums are free for under 18, so make sure you bring their passports for proof. I do recommend booking through online travel website prior to going there, your tour buses, if you're into it. It was a lot more $ to buy there. We booked Les Cars Rouges a 2 day hop-on-hop-off City tour, for so little, were able to see everything we wanted at our pace, they go around all day and you can get on/off at The Arch of Triumph, just a short walk from the hotel. We also booked the Cityrama MontMartre/Sacred Heart church and Louvre tour prior to going and it was the best. This is a 4.5 hr activity all together. Nothing like someone taking you through the highlights at the museum, it is impossible to see everything, so making sure we saw the Monalisa, Venus the Milo, etc. within 1.5 hr, was incredible. The hotel was clean, beds comfortable, front desk helpful, so patient. Paris Shuttle was used for airport transportation, timely. When eating out, tip is included, easy! Will stay here again!

The hotel was very easy to find with the directions given in the site. We (my husband and I) arrived to Paris for our honeymoon from Germany, it was our first time visiting this beautiful city. The train station we arrived was Gare du l'est and took the metro all the way to the hotel. With patience and a spirit of adventure you will make it! The hotel was very close to the metro station, as well as to the Arch de Triumph and the Efiffel tower. Both main attractions are relatively in opposite walking distances from the hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were very happy to stay here. The rooms were small but very clean and modern. The main desk employees very friendly. The breakfast and two tickets to one of the boat tours was included in our price, which was nice and convenient. We had an awesome time and will definitely stay here again.

My wife and I stayed for 6 days and 5 nights and found this hotel perfect for our needs. Like most others said "LOCATION", quiet neighborhood except night of Bastille day when the streets came alive. Stood outside hotel front door and saw almost all fireworks at Eiffel , Francesco's Italian restaurant 2 doors down has great food with awesome owner, chef and waiter. LeCorner for great affordable French food is 1 block away across from metro station; turn the other way and Arc 10 min. walk in front of you. Room on top floor small but cozy, eye- pleasing and comfortable updates and view of Tower. We couldn't afford The Ritz and Best westerns and comfort inns cant give you a real Paris feel like we had @ Elysees Union. We only hope to return someday with our 3 daughters and will definitely stay at this hotel again! The 2 bedroom apartments looked great at a peek. Never could get a long distance call out of our room though.

" When I opened the window to the room,The Eiffel Tower was to the left. Walk to the corner. You can see the Arc de Triomphe..maybe a 10 minute walk. We ate at the neighborhood cafe's. Great food, safe, and enjoyed sitting outside, drinking wine and enjoying the neighborhood. *** works the front desk. He speaks excellent English in addition to having quite a sense of humor. Helped us book a train to Nice. Small room but clean. Internet service in the lobby with a small bar. I would definetely stay here again."

This hotel is hard to beat. A real price performer. 10 minute walk from Champs Elysee. Typical 3 Star quality, clean, comfortable room. Basic needs met, after all, who spends a lot of time in their room when in Paris. Very helpful and friendly staff, loads of restaurants close by, as well as a laundromat located a short walk from the hotel. Our rate included the continental breakfast, also available are cooked breakfast for a very reasonable price, 4 Euros for a great omelet.

"Our first visit trip to Paris. Loved the hotel; not a Marriott or Hyatt, but instead quaint, ""Old Paris"" ambiance which we find so warm and welcoming. Rooms and common areas were clean and comfortable; staff couldn't have done more for us. They were so patient with our practiced but limited French and most willing and happy to assist us with our questions and needs. Perfectly situated; we walked to the Eiffel Tower in 10 minute on New Year's Eve! We were the guests of close friends; selecting this hotel for our stay proved again what great taste those friends have. "

A very clean hotel in a fantastic location. Quite an upmarket area - felt very safe walking around & catching Metro. Great little deli next door & nice restaurants around. Room wasn't huge, but you can't expect space in Paris. Were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony where we had a great view of the Eiffel tower. Staff were quite helpful & breakfast was adequate, although the breakfast room was very small for so many guests - had to take breakfast out in the courtyard a couple of days. Would stay there again if we went back.
