The suite was very large and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was very good. Embassy Suites is not a 3.5 star hotel. It is not full service. Two generous rooms in the suite and an excellent breakfast.

Walking distance to several great neighborhoods. Parking very expensive and no in and out privileges. Great place to stay. The breakfast was great. The room was big and the view at night was awesome.

"It's only 5-7mins. walk to the subway station. It's a quiet location. The river is across the street, very beautiful. My husband and I and my cousin (22 yrs. old) stay in two-bedroom suite, very comfy and my cousin sleep on the sofa bed, the room is pretty big for 3 of us. The service is great and everything is excellent, except that bottle of water in the refrigerator are expensive, $*each, I recommend you should buy at the local market, cost only $* Well, after all, I rate this hotel a 4 stars. YOu'll enjoy while stay there!"

I loved the location of this hotel. It was very quiet, and very accommodating for everything we wanted to do while in New York. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had one of the best set-ups of all Embassy Suites (that I have stayed at) for the breakfast and cocktail hour. This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and I would stay there again. I have reccommended it to several friends.

Centrally located, knowledgeable staff with assisting with directions in an unfamiliar city. Very clean. Having to check out after 1 night. Not being able to find a thermostat to control room temperature. This hotel was exceptional in all aspects. The room was above my expectations. My staff at this hotel was a wonderful experience.

Free breakfast and drinks. Lovely view. Location is far from the mainstays of Manhattan. For those, like myself, who do not know five star luxury, the NYC Embassy Suites was a welcome reprieve from the humdrum of everyday life. The sheets were high quality, the view was fantastic, and you can't beat free drinks.

Restaurants and retail located in lobby, on the water. The valet stole the change our of my ashtray. Great hotel in a bad location. Valet parking is $55 per night. The attendant took $20 worth of change from my car. being just minutes from the world trade center site, the location was uncomfortable for me since I was with my young children. Although this might be considered perfect for some travelers, the rooms were clean and spacious although the elevator is not in close a proximity to any of the rooms. All in all, it is a good hotel gone bad.

The hotel was awesome for our girls' weekend. The complimentary full breakfast was fabulous. The staff was great! The hotel was also close to Century 21, the ultimate shopping spot in Manhattan. I will definitely stay in this hotel again!! Great experience

It had big, clean rooms and included breakfast and coctails. It's location was difficult to get to and cost us more than $50. extra to travel to and from. Wonderful hotel, with a free cooked to order breakfast and free coctails in the evening after checking in. The hotel is clean and luxurious. One of the best stay's I've had. The location was less desirable, the subway stations were closed on Sundays and we needed to walk over a mile with our luggage to find an open one. Cab rides cost at least 20$ from midtown, and the drivers tended to take a round about route to get to the World trade center location.

Modern, trendy, good value. Too far downtown. I really was pleased for the price I paid and the quality of the hotel and the room. I wish the subway was closer but overall I'd stay there again.

Complimentary breakfast - although quite busy. One concierge was extraordinarily rude and unhelpful. Bellmen were great, check-in/out was easy, room worked well for 3 girlfriends traveling together. Unfortunately, the concierge recommended a little diner that gave two of the three food poisoning. When I mentioned this to tall bald concierge he was arrogant and rude. Later I went to get help from the same concierge to get me a Broadway ticket since my friends were still sick. However at 5 till 6pm he was done for the day and refused to help me. Such a huge disappointment. I complained to the front desk, but she didn't ask that he help me.

I read all the reviews and this hotel held up to the reviews. The room was nice. We had a view of the river. The staff went out of their way to help us (even had a pizza reheated after we took a longggg subway ride to get it)Great Pizza Difarras (sp?) in Brooklyn worth the wait!! The front desk is very helpful. I would not stay in another hotel in NYC. If you have kids this hotel is a must with the seperate rooms we had 2 adults and 2 children and it worked out perfectly. We are planning another trip and will stay here again.

We traveled from Texas and this by far was one of the best places for our money. Not only did they check us in early, but they were more than helpful with anything we asked for. The continental breakfast was SUPER, we have foru girls ages: 6,9,13 and 16, and they definately loved the food. We had a great view, and were close to many attractions such as: World Trade Center, Battery Park, Seaport Village, among many others. The rooms were clean and the staff helpful. I cannot say enough about this hote. You will not be disappointed.

My daugters and I spent 3 nights at the Embassy Suites on North End Avenue. The hotel is located in a very nice neighborbood and less than a block from Battery Park on the Hudson; the Statue of Liberty can be seen across the harbor. Locals walk dogs, jog and skate through the park into the evening hours; there are good restaurants in the Park and financial district area. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. The free hot breakfast was a plus to start long days of walking SoHo, NoHo, Tribeca and Subway jaunts uptown. The Subway is about 3-4 blocks away. We road the Subway to Times Square to go to the Minskoff to see The Lion King. Neither I nor my two teenage daughters felt the least bit uneasy riding the Subway back to Tribeca at 1130 at night (especially if you can catch the Express which takes you to the Chambers Subway terminal in minutes). There was absolutely no street noise at the hotel; the separate bedroom gave me silent sleeping refuge while the pull-out sofa in the living room was just right for the girls to crash after hoofing through the streets of NYC. We will be returning to this hotel.

Loved the hotel - friendly helpful staff, clean rooms, wonderful breakfast and cocktails. Would stay in this quiet area of NYC again. A bit of a walk to the subway, but not too bad. Forced me to finally learn how to manage the NYC subway. I usually stay mid-town, but the noise bothers us, we live in a quiet area. It was wonderful having the two rooms, the cost dfor this would have been prohibitive in mid-town. Just be prepared to pay more taxi fares than you would if you stayed in a mid-town location, but even going to the upper area of town will be about $ 15- $20. Thiis is important at night because the walk from the subway is about 7 minutes and there are not as many people around at night as in the day. As a woman I felt safer taking the cab at night.

Great Place for Kids and family. Breakfast is included! Made to order breakfast not just muffins and bagels. Free happy hour too from 5:30 - 7:30!! The rooms were spacious and clean. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Good location too. Lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is even a movie theater IN the hotel! A view of The Statue of Liberty is only a few blocks away. Nice views along the river. The kids loved watching the boats go by. We even saw a Cruise ship! Overall a great experience. We will return when visiting New York again.

"Modern, clean hotel with large rooms. Great (and free) breakfast and Cocktail Party. 3 long blocks from Subway (A,C or E), but keep in mind, after business hours & on wkends, there aren't many people in area. Across street from Hudson River - nice views. Irish Bar with food, 2 blocks from hotel. "

This hotel was centrally located for the things we wanted to do. We particularly liked the WTC visitors center on Liberty St. It is located on tghe south side of the WTC site next door to a NYFD station which has a brass wall picture dedicated to lost heros. The hotel was in easy walking distance to several areas. We really enjoyed the hotel and would stay there again. The Free breakfasts were great.

Although a bit out off main subway accessibility (about a 6-8 minute walk to Chambers St, the nearest line), E.S. was a good value, especially if you have kids and need the extra room (and extra TV). Breakfast was good, varied, and plentiful. Drinks and munchies at cocktail time were a nice touch, although very spartan.

Location. Look, the hotel is fine (a little dull, uninspired, kind ofprofessional) with big rooms (unheard of in NY), but the location made it a total nightmare. It was impossible to access the subway (it was a ten minute walk) and also the construction on the street made it impossible to get to.

We selected this hotel because of the price, we have a family of 5, and all the other reviews were excellent. We loved it. Here are some suggestions - if you use the valet for $55, give them notice - they do not park at the hotel and it can take 30 minutes to get your car. If you walk to Battery Park, West is MUCH quicker and a straight shot, but walking along the water is a beautiful scenic view although MUCH longer, so take your pick based on what you prefer. The breakfast is fantastic and a great cost saver - one day we ate the breakfast, the evening reception, and other than some street snacks those were our meals - a great savings on food. The movie theater is very very nice and shows brand new releases if you've got a free night. There is an Eckerd Drug store right across the street in the AmEx building - very convenient. Also, there is a pizza shop, Chinese, Applebees and a bagel restaurant directly outside the back of the hotel. We used the subway and it was very clean - red is about 4 blocks by Broadway, blue is 2 blocks by Ground Zero; get a map from the concierge and you'll be on your way. At the end of the first day we stopped at Eckerd and got some gel soles - after that we had no trouble walking. When you need help just ask - everyone in NY was more than willing to help and they are used to giving directions. Lots of police officers, felt very safe in the subways and streets with the kids, even at night. Our teens loved Madame Tussauds (expensive but fun). NBC tour was great.
