General Description

Eurostars International Palace has the spirit and hallmark of Italian unity. The character and determination of Mazzini and Garibaldi, the class and poise of Cavour and Vittorio Emmanuele. The hotel is set in a neo-classical palace built in the years immediately following the unification and is located on the Via Nazionale, a street opened in 1870 precisely for the unification celebrations and to symbolize the birth of a new society. The Via Nazionale links the Fori Imperiali with the Piazza della Repubblica, i.e. the old city with the new. All the adjoining streets bear the names of the major cities of the new nation: Genoa, Palermo, Napoli, Milano, Torino, Modenasx . The hotel has recently been refurbished in order to offer our guests the maximum comfort and modern-style living; however, a large part of the common areas maintain their original style and d 'cor, taking us back to the times of the struggle for unification. The result is a renaissance type of architecture and ambiance, inspired in the Palladio villas and equipped with the most up-to-date services and amenities. The entrance hall to the palace welcomes guests with its gold-inlaid stuccoed ceiling. The Eurostars International Palace is set in a privileged location in the Italian capital. It is situated in the centre of a triangle formed by the Fontana di Trevi, the Piazza Venezia and the Piazza della Repubblica. It is very near the Via Veneto and the Piazza di Spagna, as well as the Diocletian Baths, Santa Maria degli Angeli, Santa Maria Maggiore, the Colosseum, the Quirinale, the Trajan Column and the Fori Imperiali. It is just 400 metres from the Rome Termini station. Other legendary sights in the Eternal City, such as the Sant Angelo Castle, Piazza Navona, Villa Borghese, Campo dei Fiori or the Palazzo Farnese are also within easy reach on the metro or even on foot, as are the marvellous monuments on the other side of the River Tiber: the Vatican City or the Trastevere. The hotel is surrounded by caf 's, trattorias and typical restaurants. The hotel has a small restaurant where the finest Italian and international cuisine can be sampled, in addition to reception rooms adaptable to cater for small groups or larger events.

Staff's support and friendliness made up for very small rooms and hard bed. The central location was fabulous - and the hotel was lovely! I recommend this hotel - hard beds and all.

The location of the Hotel is almost excellent. It's close to everything, but yet not in the busiest area of the city. Termini station is really close, which makes it easy to get to the hotel from the Da Vinci Airport. Grand looking with a marvellous lobby. Room was a nice surprise. We had a exterior room and the view was really nice. Double windows so the traffic didn't bother at all.Bed was horrible. Making sounds like it was dying. Shower was somthing we've never experienced before. Stinging, uncomfortable, small, and we had a small hole in the shower wall - wonder what might live there...Breakfast was expencive and didn't offer value for money. Good thing was that the staff was always friendly and helpful. Never had problems with arrogance...All in all, good experience if leaving the shower traumas behind. Would recomend this to all.

Very well located (5-10 mins to the Trevi fountain), near to shops which kept my GF happy :o) and a good price thanks to the late booking. No breakfast with our room rate, but there are a number of 'bars' along Via Nazionale that serve the standard Italian stand-up breakfast of a Cappucino and a brioche - Great way to start the day! All areas very clean and well presented. Looks like the hotel has recently undergone renovation and it all looks very smart apart from a few bits still to be completed (very minor things though: a bit of plastering etc...). Thoroughly recommended if you can get the same sort of rate (c£80/night).

The Hotel has recently been remodeled and the modern feel to the room was a nice touch. Staff was friendly and helpful. Within 5 minutes walk to the metro at the Piazza della Reppublica. Close to termini train station and great spot trips into and out of Rome by train.

The hotel was in a very good location only five mins from the train station and easy to find. Staff were helpful and spoke good english. hotel was clean and rooms were of a high quality although only big enough to just fit a bed and no more. Although the strange thing was the shower was huge!!!! Hotel was undergoing rennovation when we were staying so air con didn't work which was a pain as on a busy street so noise level was pretty bad if you opened the window and the resteraunt was unavailable due to refurb work too although you could go accross the road to a sister hotel. Another good thing was that they had free internet access for guests which was helpful for planning our next part of our trip. Overall I would say the hotel was good and the small teething problems caused by the refurbishment should not last long and hotel was not cheap but it terms of other places in Rome it was good value.

I have traveled to 3 continents in the last year and consider myself a picky yet savvy and realistic traveler. That said, I like this hotel. It was simple yet full service hotel. It's not a Ritz but certainly satisfactory. Room service was fast...though expensive, but that is typical of any hotel. The room was clean and the AC worked. It was a little small but bearable. We had a quiet sleep at night. My 69 yr old mother also thought it was a good hotel. The location was pretty good given there is no hotel that is close to EVERY site in Rome. There is a bus stop right outside the door and Via Nationale has lots of shops. Beware that it appeared hard to find anything to eat past 10pm. I learned that the hard way the first night. There is an Irish pub a few blocks toward Repubblica that had great food considering..it was just a pub. The staff was friendly though front desk requests were often lost. For instance I called to ask for a restaurant rec and the person said they would call back and did not. It happened other times too. Breakfast was just OK. Not worth paying for if it's not included in your rate. I would definitely go back...no worries.

The hotel's location is excellent. Bus stops right out front, news stand with metro and bus tickets just on the corner, a grocery store across the street, an excellent bakery just around the corner, loads of very good restaurants in all price ranges (there are even three McDonald's nearby, for those who miss a taste of home). There is a stunning American Episcopal Church two blocks away. The Termini Train Station is within easy walking distance. The bathroom was modern and spotless. We had a small room with a double bed that seemed crowded, but the price was right. The room featured a fridge and a flat HD wide-screened TV. We would stay there again.

Eurostar Hotel RomaGreat location, easy to get to Trevi Fountain,Spanish Steps, and the Colossem.Initially Receptionist advised that I had booked 2 double rooms - this was incorrect as there was only 2 of us! I advised that there must be a problem with the booking system. Reception called LateRooms and sorted it out immediatly for us - a great service from LateRooms as they sent through a cancelation fax within minutes.
