A couple of great days in AlicanteWe found the Mediterranea Plaza in the Playa Aiuntamento was perfect for our needs. It was a great location; a room and balcony on the second floor overlooking the square, and a splendid view of the castle mount up behind the town hall. The room was as comfortable and well equipped as we could have hoped for, and the staff in the reception and the cleaning staff were friendly as well as courteous and very efficient. This proved to be an ideal place from which to explore the old town, the castle and some of the museums. It was also very conveniently located near to some excellent tapas bars, especially La Taberna del Gourmet just round the corner towards the sea. All in all, a great way to set ourselves up for the later business purpose of our trip to the region.

A Bit of a HideawayFinding this hotel is the hard bit. It is tucked away in the corner of a square, and isnt well signed. But I couldnt fault the room or the staff. It is well located if you want to be in the old part of town, or near the marina, or even some of the shopping. I didnt eat at the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. There was a breakfast on offer at â‚¬9.00, but the cafes around the corner offer it for â‚¬3.00! So guess were I went!

reception service and roomsthe staff were very helpful.they provided us with hot water for drinks,answered any questions we had and allowed us to stay in our room for a little extra time on day of flight home.
