General Description

The castle exterior promises fun and adventure - which is exactly what you'll find inside Excalibur, one of the most recognizable landmarks of Las Vegas. Located in the heart of the famed Las Vegas Strip, Excalibur offers exceptional value and a range of dining and entertainment options in a setting that's fun, not fancy. Excalibur offers three floors of excitement. The property's main level is home to one of the friendliest, most exciting casinos on the Strip. Downstairs, visitors of all ages will find fun along the carnival midway. Excalibur's Castle Walk, a promenade above the casino, features a variety of shops and street vendors that recreate the ambiance of a Medieval bazaar. Scattered throughout the property are dining and entertainment venues that emphasize quality, value and friendliness. Amenities: The hotel's outdoor spaces include two huge pools, a man-made mountain, dramatic waterfalls and two thrilling water slides. The 2007 new and improved pool complex expands on the two existing and landscaped pools to feature additional spa areas, relaxing & reflecting pools, fire pits and other amenities. The 13,000-square-foot Royal Treatment Spa and Fitness Center offers massages, facials, a fitness center and separate pools and saunas for men and women. The bright, modern facility neighbors Excalibur's pool area. Castle Walk is home to restaurants, stores and a food court with familiar favorites like Pizza Hut, McDonald's, Quizno's, Cold Stone Creamery, Starbuck's and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts (open 24 hours!). Excalibur's 100,000-square-foot casino is famous as a fun and friendly place to play. It's full of hot slot games as well as video poker, blackjack, craps, roulette, baccarat, pai gow and keno. Excalibur's all-new poker room places the wildly popular game into the center of the casino floor and a 150-seat sports book features a television at each seat. Casino players earn comps, cash back and invitations to special events through the Excalibur player's club. An elevated tram connects the hotel with neighboring sister hotels Mandalay Bay and Luxor. A Resort Fee of $11.95 plus tax per room, per night, will be charged at the front desk. This includes fitness center access each day of guests' stay, daily newspaper, complimentary incoming faxes, wired internet guest room access, unlimited local, toll free and domestic long distance calls (from guest rooms) and Fun Book of coupons worth $500 in savings. On Dec 13, 2010, resort fee will increase to $12.50 for all stays arriving on or after Jan 3, 2011. *** Guests must be 21 or older to check in. Maximum stay is 10 nights - Excalibur will not honor a booking longer than 10 nights. ***

We were upgraded to a suite when we got to the check in. We did not asked for the upgraded it was a complement from the Hotel Staff. I work in the Hotel Business and I can say with a lot of confidence that my experience at the Excalibur Hotel in Las Vegas was beyond my expectation in all aspects.

It's hard when you want to get away and not have the worries of your regular life. So you go to Vegas for a long weekend! Then the problems start rollin' in. The bell hop never gave us the ticket for our luggage. The front desk clerk spat out his gum in front of us. It took forever to speak to a manager. One manager never returned the call after filing the complaint. Once we were settled in, it was okay... but that's because we didn't require their services anymore. At least it was inexpensive to stay there on a holiday weekend and we were on the strip.

This was my first trip to Vegas and I would absolutely stay at the Excalibur again. First of all, I just loved the look of it. The castle theme and the fountains in the moat. I was fortunate they gave me an upgrade on my room but I am sure I would have loved what I had actually booked. The room as well as the hotel itself was very clean. I traveled alone and felt it was a very safe place to stay. There was lots of security personnel as I am sure most of the hotels have. You have many so many choices of places to eat. Too many to mention, but there was fast food to casual to fancy. Lots of entertainment with bands and karoke, shows, and of course the casino itself. They even had a welcoming reception. I also thought the hotel was a great location on the strip. I know if I return I would stay there again. There isn't anything negative I could say about my stay at the Excalibur.

A friend and I stayed here since we were going to a concert at Mandalay Bay and this was a lot cheaper, but has a tram that connects you to Mandalay. Unfortunately the tram stopped running by the time our concert was over and we had to hoof it back to the casino. We stayed in a widescreen room for a few dollars more and it was worth it. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable beds, and a big bathroom with lighted make up mirror; a must for 2 girls; There is not one hotel on the vegas strip that has a coffee maker in the room, and everyone makes you pay for the fitness room. We snagged a deal that included use of the fitness room, which was updated and huge with new machines, and a nice day spa area. The pool area was recently upgraded as well with 4 separate pools- one with a waterslide to keep the kids occupied, one "adult" pool (which was full of seniors) and 2 other pools filled with 20-40 somethings. There were plenty of chairs and palm trees surrounding the area, and cabanas available. There was a group of frat boys playing beer pong by the pool. I saw this happening inside the casino as well. I don't get it- beer pong seems gross. Dining at the Excalibur is limited- there are many cheap fast food options, a buffet, a random steakhouse, and Dick's Last Resort. We ended up heading over to the MGM for decent food. There is a lot of smoke in the casino, but the slots are loose. They have an arcade downstairs for kids, but if you have kids the best place to go is Circus Circus. Overall a good value and location.

I was VERY disappointed with the interior of the Excalibur. We were put into a corner room with no view of the city. The air conditioner was not working properly, there were only 3 stations that came in clearly on the television, the initial towels in the bathroom were stained and dirty, there were stains on the sheets and every morning there was back up from someone else's plumbing in our bathroom sink - look like men's shaving stubble. The front desk was courteous but we never seen housekeeping. The Italian restaurant within the hotel was exceptional. The pool areas were great, however, they closed at 7:00pm. I understand that they want people in the casinos, but Las Vegas is a city that never sleeps - that is really early to close a pool especially as hot as it is there. Overall, my trip was wonderful but I will not stay at the Excalibur again.

Huge line to check in. Then harassed everytime you walked through by a time share company to sign up for there presentation which was supposed to be 2 hours and you would get free show tickets, which we fell for. The presentation lasted 5 hrs and we had no intrest in what so ever. not the greatest room ever by any means.

I was not to happy with my stay here!!! your restraunt the Sherwood has the slowest waitresses in town, the food was no good and when I complained all I heard was what would you like me to do, well let me guess dont charge me for it and try to impove on it!! Also we had to pay 5 more buck a night for resort fees, for stuff we did not plan on using, when gambling we were never offered a complimentery drink at all. We spent more time at the Luxor and were treated better. Oh and to top it off our view from our room was a brick wall!!!

EXCELLENT Hotel, Rooms spotless, Staff extermely friendly. Was a little worried from some of the write-ups for this hotel, but we found all the negative write ups to be untrue. Check in was a snap (even with the Las Vegas Check in lines). All resturants in hotel excellent. Never met a grouchy staff member. They all had smiles even when you ask them dumb questions. Will refer this hotel to others with no problem. Rates are right also.

Our first room was located in Tower 1. You need to cross through the casino to get to the pool area. There is no other way to the pool. We requested a change to Tower 2. We were accomodated for an extra fee because those rooms had been remodeled and where much nicer. Tower 1 rooms are comparable to a Super 8. Nothing special. Tower 2 rooms were much better and worth the extra $* both in room comfort and to get to the pool. The pool area is very nice and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of food choices. The lunch/dinner buffet was good, although nothing special. But for $* per person all you care to eat all day is a good price in Las Vegas.

The rooms were very clean and has all the necessary things to make a trip enjoyable. Our view was great and it was actually on the strip which made it a great location. My kids can't wait to go back and stay in the Castle.

The hotel isn't bad, but it's not very good either. The rooms are very quiet, but they have a strange smell to them. I can't even describe what it smells like. The main casino part also smells like an old bowling alley. However, the food court is awesome, and so are the restaurants downstairs. The Tournament of Kings in the basement arena is one of a kind and a definite must see. I might stay there again if I was short on cash.

This place was more like circus circus. Very noisy and not very clean. It could use a whole new make over. We spent very little time there because of the atmopshere. We won't be vacationing there again. They need more cocktail waitresses and they need to have personalties. We gave a drink order four times and never got one drink. We also received two ten dollar match play coupons and they only let us redeem one. If this is policy than why give two? Needless to say we won't be returning to this establishment ever again.

This hotel was horrible. First off, we had to wait in line for over an hour just to check our luggage. A couple of the bellmen were arguing the entire time, which was really irritating when you just wanted them to do their job. Very tacky I thought. Second, when we checked into our room, it had never been cleaned. The bed was still unmade from the previous occupants and there were dirty towels all over the bathroom floor. When we complained to the housekeeping supervisor, we were told That's life. You have to take the good with the bad. We went to the front desk and all of the staff was very rude. We tried to get drinks at the bar and were totally ignored by two seperate bartenders. I will definataly never stay at Excalibur again!!!

The Hotel was great after we got the room that was displayed on the Orbitz web site. Please be ware of the Standard Room!!! It's not what Orbitz show you on line. It looks like something from a Horror Movie!!!! After complaining for 45 minutes to Orbitz they said that there was nothing they could do for my friends and me. The Hotel Staff was very understanding and gave us the room we saw on line for no additional charge. the standard rooms were old and not renovated yet. I will never book with Orbitz again and neither will my friends. Vegas was great but be sure to check with the hotel about the room you get before you get there.

This was our second stay at Excalibur in Las Vegas. The rooms are comfortable, quiet and clean. The location is great for us as we like to walk to the many other resorts and attractions located nearby. The price was very reasonable for our stay. It was quite a walk from the parking lot to our room but it was not an inconvenience. Our only complaint would be the representatives trying to talk you into a timeshare that seem to be so abundant in Vegas these days. It would be nice to be able to say no one time and be done!

We stayed there for 5 days and was pleasantly surprised! We previously stayed at the MGM and were worried that this hotel would be much less in quality. We were quite satisfied with the Excalibur. It was clean and we felt very safe wondering around in the wee hours of the morning. The Sherwood Cafe sure comes in handy being open 24 hrs. It is the same food that is for room service but cheaper to go down and get yourself. We upgraded to the newer rooms so cannot comment on the deluxe rooms. Did not like the room decor much but it was still clean and neat. Room service is slow but isn't it always? Buffet is just okay but the Tournament Show is fun. It is in a GREAT location with walkways to other hotels (New York, New York and MGM) We would definitely recommend this hotel but suggest upgraded rooms.

They have $25 all day / all you can eat buffet... Also, Pizza Hut, Donuts, $10 store, McDonalds... (affortable places to eat and buy) inside the hotel. Room as nice, clean and big, also the bathroom (Tower II). Overall, I could stay there again... Cost me on a Valentine's weekend $355 for 6 days/5 nights!!! Great

The ExCalber in Vegas was locted on the strip with easy access to the monorail system that takes you to all the casinos. The hotel also had easy access to the city bus line which I used to go to the great oulet mall. The hotel was comfortable.

The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were relatively quiet considering the amount of partying that was going on. The bathroom had a lot of counter space, which is convenient when traveling. We were supplied with plenty of towels, toiletries, and washcloths, which was a positive considering the low price of the room. We had to request that a few light bulbs that were not working be replaced, but that small task was taken care of promptly. We asked the concierge for directions to the nearest shuttle to the Hard Rock Cafe, and she told us of a shuttle near Planet Hollywood; however, on our way to that point, we saw a shuttle pick-up within a few blocks of our hotel.

The Excalibur has long been a family-favorite place to stay while vacationing in Vegas. The spacious casino floor, friendliness of staff, variety of eateries, the Drenched pool options and location on the Strip are reasons why we choose this fun and upbeat hotel. The rooms are comfortable, clean and nice and the environment inside the hotel is like walking into a fairy tale. We really enjoyed our last trip and hope to book again.

The Excalibur Hotel and Casino Was excellent! I would definitely recommend others staying there. The buffet was fabulous. The Regale resturant there was amazing. The food melts in your mouth. The rooms were very clean and well kept. We stayed in tower 2 and there was only one problem. The toilet paper roll won't stay on the holder. The holder is a straight rod and it just slides right on off. Other than that, our stay was great. This was our first trip to Vegas, but it won't be our last. Next time we will bring the Kids with us and we will definitely stay at the Excalibur again!!! Bring your own pillows! Theirs are goose down and not at all comfortable, but the staff is friendly and honest and the hotel is well worth the money!

The hotel was very well maintained and clean. The only downside to the hotel is if you have a room facing the center of the castle. There is no view there, but if you plan on not sleeping and staying out the whole time the hotel is located well on the strip.

After a long flight, the check-in staff sent us to our room at the Excalibur, Vegas. Upon opening the door we found other people's belongings. Someone was already in the room. After returning to the desk, the staff apologized and blamed the 10 year old computer system they were using and gave us a slight upgrade in room for our trouble. It was a good stay. They had great security and the showers were big and clean. AC worked great and comforted us after 107 degree days. Front door staff were very helpful.

The Excalibur was comfortable but the room I stayed in hasn't bee updated and seemed a bit old fashioned compared to other properties. The beds/pillows/sheets could be of higher quality. My main dissapointment was that the pool didn't open until 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. I was counting on getting to the pool by 8:00 and have a relaxing morning for a few hours before I had to check out. That really ruined my day when I found out it wasn't even open until 10:00. Also, the spa/fitness center and tanning should all be included for guests. The tanning bed was $15 for 15 minutes and wasn't a high quality bed. Another disapointment. I doubt I stay at this property again. Lots of kids running around so it seemed to be a family friendly hotel.

The Excalibur was comfortable and well located,The style of the whole place is like the knights of the round table so furniture is quite heavy. The bathroom was huge and had everything that we needed. They were a little short on coat hangers,T.V worked as did the airconditioner.Check in was very very slow and the lady did nt seem to be clued in.When I arrived at my hotel room I noticed that my airline card was missing so rushed back to find out that the lady had gone home and was told by the supervisor that if she had discovered it she would have entered it in my file. That evening I checked again and whilst going through my story again I looked down at the counter and saw my card available for any one to pick up.This is not acceptable and caused me no end of stress as I needed that card for my flight home.Otherwise thigs were fine.

The wait for check-in was a very long line, and it moved slowly. The staff member was not friendly or upbeat and when I returned to the desk she did easily change my room from one King bed to two Double Beds. I thought the change would make a bigger room, but it did not. The rooms were dingy and looked like they came from a Super 8 in the 1970s. The hotel is an affordable option on the strip, but we stayed at another strip hotel with very cheap rooms and it was much, much nicer. There is another tower at the Excalibur, and you can upgrade for a fee, but the tower we were in really needs an update. Also, my rate was supposed to include several perks and coupons and when I asked at the front desk she said unless I had my confirmation stating that deal, she couldn't help me. It was a frustrating experience and I won't stay at this hotel again.

Satisfied.Friendly room maids, fast service. The best location close to the Strip and moreover close to MGM hotel, New York New York and Luxor. This is a huge hotel so be prepared to walk a lot. If you like swimming pools this is not the best option since one of the pools is close and the slide is close for the season in every pool(fall & winter). Terrible experience with the air conditioner since needs a lot of maintenance, i would think of a new air conditioner but you know hotels love to save money.

the hotel was good, good for the money u spend. lots of kids! i guess a family friendly hotel ! the room(new ones) was really good, dont get pool view!!!! cuz u see things at night! like they wash the area around the pool with a hotsy (that by the way made a lot of noise AFTER MIDNIGHT !!! that made it so hard to get some sleep!!!) and push all the dirt in IN THE POOL!!!!!!! the day i went in the pool i didnt know that, and that same night i saw what i just swam in !!!!!!! made me sick.. needless to say i didnt go too the pool again. oh and by the way the pool is so shallow all over, the depth is only about 3 feet at all of the three pools!!! even the one that is just for adults!!! so pool totaly disapointment.. the room was good but the AC was very noisy VERY and it was very hard to sleep, the shades didnt close all the way either.... good for the money but i guess next time i will spend more money!!!! yes i wont go there again.

Even our toilet paper was changed with a fresh roll every day even when it was not needed. We did find the swimming pool could have been deeper at one end for the adults. To start off with, the TV in the room did not work we had to keep moving the wires in the back to get a good picture. The beds were about 25 years old you can see and feel the springs from the top of the bed. The staff was rude and not very helpful. The players club has the worst service that I have ever seen. I waited in line for 50 min. for a dinner comp which later I learned from another visitor that they had two for one dinner that night but they did not tell us that. We had a do not disturb sign on our door and at 9 in the morning we could hear a working on his radio out side our door calling the front desk to tell them to call us and let him in because we called in a broken towel rack, which we never called. I was told that this hotel was a good place to stay but let me tell you our whole experience was terrible, I will never stay here again and I will definitely not recommend it to anyone.

I'm sure all hotels in Vegas would be fun, but the Excalibur was great. It had cheap places to eat like McDonalds, Quiznos, and Pizza Hut. It had fun gambling games and was right next to the MGM, New York, New York, Mandala Bay, and the Luxor. Kind of a long walk to the rest of the hotels but the clubs in the hotels in our area were the best! Went to a cirque de solei show, Ka, in the MGM; pretty much the most amazing thing ever! Pool was very nice! It really couldn't have gotten any better!

The room that was given to us was the worst ever because they were doing renovations right across the hall. I had to contact the front desk to let them know our situation and at that time they suggested switching our room. I felt that would be an inconvenience for my husband and me since we were already settled in the room. The customer service when checking out was very poor. OK. So the room was a little outdated, but from what I could see they were doing upgrades. There was some construction going on, but it didn't bother me. It's not like they were working in my room with me in it. The food at the buffet was good. The employees were nice and polite (from the front desk-who let us check in early- to the maid who was a very nice woman). The only things I wasn't too crazy about was the bed was too firm for my tastes (most hotels are), the vending machines only carry Pepsi products, there aren't many chanels on the tv and I paid $8 for a drink at one of the bars-but that last one was my own fault. The rates were good and even their resort fee is lower than most others on the strip. All in all, I had a very enjoyable stay. I'd definitely consider staying there again.

I loved that this property had such an easy way to access the strip and the surrounding casino/hotel properties. Great atmosphere, fun and exciting for any age group, from child and beyond. Great options for dining, shopping, gambling and just looking. The outside look of the castle really set the tone for the inside being so amazingly full of energy and fun things to do. We had a two queen bedroom, and we had a surpirsing amount of space; the room and the bathroom were clean and didn't look old or worn. They also set up the rooms to have a nice view, no matter if you're in front or back. Great place to stay-we had an awesome time!

The rooms where a suprise, they where much better than I expected. It was nice that I could take a mono rail to other hotels, that service was all by it's self a very big plus.

I have stayed at several hotels in the Vegas area and have never stayed at one as horable as this one. The toilet continually ran, the lights in the bathroom were terrible, the room smelled the furniture was cheap, the TV was cheap (reception was bad) the bed was cheap. I felt completely degraded by having to stay in a (Motel) atmosphere. I feel if I wanted to stay in an enviroment like I did, I would have located the Motel 6 at the end of the Strip and stayed there. We addressed the toilet and the lighting issues only to be met with a response later in the day and no fix to the problem, only a message asking us to call them back if it still is not fixed. (what spend my entire vacation playing phone tag). We could see the problems were not going to be addressed so we gave up rather then spend the rest of my vacation trying to fix problems that are obvious, we just dealt with it and tried to stay out of the room as much as possible.

We had bed springs poking us all night. Ask for help and they sent up egg matress. Then a wonderful housekeeping lady came made up the beds and was very cheerful. So I would subjest new beds. Oh! you have no tubs. I have a medical problem and can't stand long. It was very had to shower sitting on the bottom of the shower. The staff was wonderful, cafe was great.

Excalibur staff and every one treated me just fine. There were some problems with the elevators but I think they were being worked on. I would of liked to have more comfortable chairs in the room but all in all every thing was very nice

This is a standard economy hotel, it's a great place to stay for the money. Only problem is some construction so if you stay here stay up high so you don't hear it, lower floors might be annoyed. If you want a nice place to stay, especially with family, this is the place.

we had a great time in las vegas and our stay at excalibur was excellent. the staff and very friendly and very courteous. we had no problems checking in or out. the beds were very comfortable and we were able to rest for a very long while before heading out to the streets of las vegas. the location was centralized and we were in walking distance to wherever we wanted to go.

the escaliber in las vegas was somewhat comfortable, the bed and pillows were somewhat hard and the sheet were not a soft as i am used to, the room was small but the shower water had a very strong flow. the view from the room was good it overlooked the strip and i was satisfied with that. i have been going to lasvagas every year(once or twice) for the past few years and i have been staying a different hotel everytime to see which one i would like to make my hotel to stay, i have to say that escaliber did not win me over. it was okay but not great. i will be returning in november and i hope the next will be the one. the location was good but it was hard to get out some of the walk ways were not working and i had to climb stairs and that was not great, the hotel next was under construction or remodeling and that was not fun, (i know that sometime that something that can't be helped) and i understands. overall on a scale of 1-10 the whole trip i would rate a 7, as long as i am on a trip it is fun.

Nice enough hotel. Clean, good-sized room if not a little dated. (I understand they are doing room remodels and I stayed in older style room.) Good value for the price. I wouldn't pay a lot for it, but then many places in Vegas you do end up paying a lot for aren't worth it once you get to the room. You are paying for everything else. Only negative is probably a negative at most hotels. Emerging from the tower each day and hitting the main level/lobby/casino you are hit with the stench of cigarette smoke. I HATE that about Vegas. What I would give for a smoke free experience.

We had to upgrade our room as soon as we got there. The room we got was not good, very old, no ammenties at all. The other problem with the hotel was the pool closed at 6pm. way to early. We were at a convention and by the time it was done for the day we had no time to go into the pool. Once we paid for an upgrade the room was ok.

Will highly recommend for first timers.Great value hotel overall. Great location right on the strip with the Luxor, MGM, and NYNY all very close by. Will also recommend upgrading to the strip view as well, the upgrade charge was very minimal and highly recommended. The view of the strip was great! The casino wasn't the best, but we walked right across the street to NYNY and MGM for a better casino experience. Staff wasn't excellent, but we really didnt need them besides to check in/out. Good hotel overall.

The Hotel all together was a good experience. However I would have to say we ate at the Shurwood I thnk it was called. The service was aweful. We never were never checked on and wse had to literally get out of booth to get our ticket . Like they forgot we were sitting there. Also while checking in service was fast but definatly not friendly.

This hotel is geared mostly for the younger generation who likes getting drunk and yelling in the hallways at 2:30 a.m. The time share salespeople were very annoying and pushy. Tried to make us feel like we were stupid to passup a deal. Rooms could use a facelift. We were on the first floor and the window didn't lock properly. Had to do a makeshift lock to prevent anyone from entering.

This was an anniversary trip. The room was not quiet as we expected. They had plenty of staff to check in yet they were just very slow about doing so. All in all this was a fair place to stay. All though we did have a GREAT VIEW of the top of a building and they were some great HVAC units.

The shower had a lot of space. The ice maker worked only half the week we stayed there, had to go to other floors for ice. Over all it was a nice stay, issues with elevators not working correctly, ice makers were out of order, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. I would have like to have had a mini fridge in room and a Jacuzzi tub in my room to soak my sore feet from all the walking. I would recomend for a weekend stay but for a week-long stay more amenities should be provided.

Very family friendly however as seniors we found there were to many Children (or babies) in strollers and just running around. The pool was over run with children and it was hard to have a swim. Next visit we would stay at a more adult hotel.

First thing in to the hotel we were accosted by a person that portrayed themself as a memeber of the hotel staff. After 15 minutes of wasted time this person finally admitted that they were attempting to sell us a timeshare. The staff was no help in getting us to our room and we waited for the luggage that we had to drop off. The food in the hotel was very bad and for the price and for freshness. The servers on the buffet line were very slow to refill the selections and the selections were left until they were very hard and chewy.

The were very friend and attentive, but my room was almost clean...They have not taken the time to move the furniture to clean in a while. There was dust chunks in the airconditioner, old candy under it and the phone has not been picked up and cleaned in a while lots of dust...to think I was charged a dollar for the ability to have it in my room..thank you I really enjoyed the use of it to call room service twice..

We wanted to spend time at the pool and found out that it closed at 5:00pm and everyone had to leave the area. I wanted to work out in the morning and was told I would have to purchase a spa pass to access the exercise room. The hotel smelled of stale smoke.

From the hike from the shuttle drop off to the registration area, hotel employees constantly stopping me to trying to get me to buy something, the cold buffet, the room with the view of a stone wall, unedible overcharged lopster dinner with cold veggies. I would not return to the Excalibur even if the stay was free.
