General Description

The hotel is centrally located in one of the most important squares of Rome: Republic Square. It is few minutes from Termini Station and near the famous Via Veneto. It is just a few steps from the most important attractions of the city. The hotel also has a solarium, Jacuzzi and sauna. In the basement, you can also see the ruins of the Terme di Diocleziano. A swimming pool is available on the hotel terrace (open from June to September), as well as a living bar. 0708 LB. This is an impressive neoclassic building with a white facade. The lower part of the building is composed of a large colonnade. The hotel is in front of the big fountain of the Piazza della Republica square. Rooms are extremely spacious and sumptuous and are furnished in an elegant style. They are refined and are equipped with the finest Italian furniture. Some rooms have yellow-brown stripes on the wall and dark yellow carpet. Some of rooms have a balcony. The junior suites are extremely refined and divided into two levels. The lower level is composed of a sitting area that is very pleasantly and elegantly decorated. The upper level is composed of the bedroom, exhibiting the same refined style. The entrance of the hotel is composed of sliding glass doors. On the left side there is the marble reception desk. In front of the desk, beautiful Roman arches lead to the elegant reading room and bar. The lobby is extremely spacious and elegantly furnished, with a comfortable sitting area and enhanced by vaulted ceilings. The style is majestic. In front of the bar there is a statue in the form of a coffee pot. The hotel has three restaurants: 'La Frusta', 'The Morandi' with its delicate dishes, and 'The Godzilla', which offers Japanese cuisine and enjoys a beautiful view of Rome. There is also a terrace with a beautiful panorama of the city. 1 minute walk to the nearest metro station (linea'a'- repubblica), 30 kms to the nearest airport (fiumicino), Close to the station (termini).

Fantastic hotel: quiet, comfortable and beautiful rooms. There are many sites to see within walking distance of the hotel as well as good places to eat. It is also within walking distance to the train station. Metro stop is right outside of the hotel (as well as bus routes). I would definately go back to the Exedra again.

I agree with one reviewer that the hotel was visably beautiful,but ...The front desk showed us to the worst room possible and after insisting on seeing other rooms were we granted a visably better room,but it was very dirty. The carpets were filthy,pillows dusty and vetallation the same. The food was good,and the rooftop had potential had it been open. We stayed at many luxury hotels in italy on this visit,but this was by far the most expensive and the most disapointing. It is fine if you on at a convention,but if you are a seasoned luxury traveler you will be dissapointed.

We arrived here after leaving a not so plesant hotel in Florence. We were very satisfied. We arrived a little before our scheduled check in time and they apologized that the rooms were not ready (which was because we were early) and treated us to drinks and snacks as we waited. The staff was very attentive and very helpful on where to go and how to get around. The rooms were nice. Although the carpets had stains, you tend to over look it because everything else was so nice. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very nice. The 'hotel manager' if that's what he is called was very attentive and made sure we were getting everything we needed. We had no A/C, but we slept with the windows open. We were up high enough that the outside noise wasn't all too bad. We could not have asked for a better experience. It was beautiful inside and out! Would definitely recommend!

the physical beauty of this hotel is breath taking, it ends their, frount desk was slow and rude, never got room service until complaints to the manager forced them to fill ice and refeshments. Pool was very dirty and bar service was not available.

CHECK IN AT THE FRONT DESK TOOK FOREVER. VERY SLOW AT THE FRONT DESK. THE ROOMS WERE VERY SPACIOUS BUT A LITTLE DARK. THE POOL WAS COLD AND DIRTY AND THE BAR SERVICES WERE CLOSED. I WAS ABLE TO USE THE HOTEL SUV AND GET A RIDE TO THE AIRPORT, INSTEAD OF PAYING FOR 2 CABS.

This is a great hotel in a very good/convenient location. The service is great the staff, friendly and helpful. There is a pool on the roof that is both refreshing and has great views of Rome. The rooms are quite spacious and very well appointed. The maid service was fantastic. The linens were very good. the only drawback...as with many european hotels is that the mattresses were not great.I highly recommend this hotel.
