Nice, clean hotel with very small rooms. Room size. Good clean place to come to with nice staff but the outside rooms and the room size was not my top pick.

Breakfast provided. Noisy; doors to room are not on interior hallways. The Fairfield Inn met all of our expectations. It was clean and convenient, but nothing fancy. The breakfast in the lobby was convenient and a money saver. The bed and showers were comfortable. We were happy with our stay.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, convenient and good breakfast. No pool or exercise facility indoors. Entrance to room required going outside.

Wonderful staff. Horrible mattress. Room clean and recently done but the mattress was probably the worst one I have slept on in my entire life.

Location and the beds were comfy. The automated vending machine still had a few bugs in the menu system, making it hard to use. We had a short stay, but it was comfortable nun the less.

Easy on/off highway - prompt reply to fix it requests. Bugs and ants in and around pool. Nice remodel job. Black roaches and ants were all around and in the pool. The stool in our room ran all night. We told them, they fixed it and the next day it was running steadily again. I walked across our room barefoot and my feet collected all kinds of hair and dust and dirt on them. In my opinion this motel did not live up to the Marriott quality standards I have come to expect.

The rooms were up to date and very clean. I was surprised that this hotel was rated 2 stars. I wasn't sure what I was going to be walking into but I was pleasantly surprised. The lobby was very clean, the front desk was very helpful. The breakfast had a lot to choose from. The rooms were up to date and very clean. We even received a phone call from the front desk when we first got into our room, asking if the room was up to our standards.

Lots of pillows and big TV. Dirty pool. Nice overall. Rooms are well decorated and comfortable. Plenty of pillows, which are important to me. My main complaint would be the pool. The two days I was there, the pool had bird feathers, leaves, and bugs floating on the top. I don't believe it was cleaned recently. I still used the pool. But, it would have been nice if it was cleaner.

From the wonderful heated outdoor pool to the continental breakfast, it was great. Nothing. It's always clean, attractive and offers a very nice continental breakfast. The outdoor pool in the summer is awesome.

The room was clean and nicely decorated, we liked the breakfast, too. The room had no room-darkening shades or blinds on the windows, and there were frequent train horns. The hotel was convenient to get to from the interstate highway, but lots of traffic noise and even more train horn noise prevented a good night's rest. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but the lack of room-darkening shades or blinds on the east-facing window meant that our kids were up at the crack of dawn, after a late bedtime the night before. We did enjoy the outdoor pool and the complimentary breakfast had a lot of variety.

The lobby and common areas were clean and bright, and the staff was polite and helpful. The rooms were somewhat noisy and cramped. I was impressed that there was a card in each room from the manager, offering his personal cell phone number to contact if any disputes could not be resolved onsite! This is really a nice little hotel, although I just wish the rooms were more updated and insulated better to keep out more of the noise. Since the rooms are accessed from the outside, it is difficult not to be disturbed by outside noises and traffic. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I appreciated having healthy breakfast choices available. Hard boiled eggs are wonderful for those of us "low-carbers"!

Neat and clean, great location close to the highway. Desk staff were officious and unfriendly. Due to unexpected family emergency we needed additional space on short notice. We asked the hotel staff for assistance and we sorely disappointed by their attitude and lack of help. We lodged an immediate complaint with Marriott Corporate offices. We will never stay in this hotel again.

Clean and cheap. Older, outside rooms. This is an old hotel, but has been recently renovated. Once you get past the building's obvious age, the rooms were nice enough and very clean.

Facilities, very good breakfast selection, nice outdoor pool. Lawn sprinklers on at 8AM, why not 4AM? Up to Marriott standard, both Holy Bible and Book of Mormon in my room (I'm not Mormon).

Free high speed Internet access. There were no ash trays in the smoking room. The rooms are spacious clean. The morning breakfast food is the best I have eaten in a hotel of this class. I liked the free Internet access too.

I love the comfortable bed and pillow and breakfasts. When we checked in the gentleman behind the counter had allotted of trouble checking us in. Caused long delay late at night. I love this hotel. We come to Cedar Rapids quite often and have enjoyed our stay each time. The rooms are clean and quite and the beds are comfortable. The breakfasts are wonderful!

Nice breakfast that met our expectations. Bathroom sink did not have any counter space very inconvenient. It was not what we expected. The only part that met our expectations was the breakfast. We were glad we were only there 1 night. N.E. Cedar Rapids would have been a better choice for us.

Convenient to highway and clean. Also refrigerator and microwave in room. Rooms were a bit small, but not terrible. This is a great hotel for a business traveler or a budget traveler. The entire facility was clean. This hotel has a wide variety for the continental breakfast. The outdoor pool is nice. The highway is very close good for access, bad for traffic noise. Overall, a nice place to stay for a very reasonable price.

Clean, convenient, good breakfast. Had to go outdoors to get to lobby for breakfast. The Fairfield Inn Cedar Rapids is great for people looking for a clean, quiet, inexpensive place that includes complimentary breakfast. Amenities are minimal, and the pool is outdoor, which limits its' usefulness. Location is excellent right off an I-380 interchange.

Clean, neat, and secure environment. Bonus was the great breakfast included in room rate. Only the top of three floors had inside entrances to rooms, although entry to elevator is key controlled. Staff was friendly and efficient. Common areas are bright, clean, and comfortable, especially breakfast area. Breakfast was definitely at the top end for this category of hotel, and is included in room rate. Lobby also includes two computer terminals for guest usage, a welcome bonus.

Good price, good service, very clean. Selecting room type----they made me feel like a second rate guest to get two beds instead of one. A very nice, clean place to get a good night's sleep and a great breakfast. The outdoor pool was a great way to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather.

The free waffle breakfast. Wet carpets when I arrived, they had been cleaned earlier that day. Overall, the hotel met my needs. The only problem was my business was across town in Marion. I truly enjoyed the hospitality and the breakfast. When I first arrived, the carpet was wet and it soaked my socks and feet. It also made the room humid.

I did not like this hotel. The sheets and floors were not clean. The Fairfield offers breakfast with the room. The location was difficult to find, but it was quiet. The room floors and bedding were dirty. I would not stay in this hotel again. I did not consider this to be a three star quality.

The cleanliness, friendly staff; the excellent continental breakfast; complimentary paper, cookies, coffee, and tea. An indoor pool would have been nice but not necessary. This was an excellent stay. My family was returning from a funeral and the Fairfield Inn provided a nice, clean and comfortable stay for my weary family. The staff were more friendly than one would expect and the facilities were clean and inviting. I had a bad experience at a Fairfield in Texas and was concerned about staying at another one. This Fairfield Inn renewed my confidence in the company's ability to give their guests what they need. Thank you Fairfield Inn for an exceptional stay.
