hot water in the shower, cleaned everyday The room smelled musty everytime you entered, the bed was old and lumpy This is an older hotel that is in the process of being upgraded, with paint on the outside. However they might do better to upgrade the a/c units (humidity control) and the beds than painting the exterior.

didn't really like anything Hard to find, set off main street on side road beds very uncomfortable, carpet not to clean It was on the order of a motel 6 or something.I expected better since it was not a weekend when all rooms in savannah are sold out. After my stay in Charlotte it was a huge letdown.

Hotel was neat and clean. Near shopping and only short distance to downtown. Secure and safe. Well lit parking. Room with king size bed was small. Good value for the money.

Having stayed in some of the other hotels in Savannah, this place is worth the cost. The rooms are very clean and do not smell like a foot locker ( take note LaQuinta Inns ). The breakfast was good and the staff is friendly. What shocked me about the staff was; they said tahnks for staying with us.

We went to Savannah to visit a friend that was there on business. The hotel has an excellent location if you want to enjoy the Historic District without having to pay sky high rates. The place is clean, safe and comfy. Staff is great. Breakfast buffet is good too. Great pool area.

My family and I were in Savannah last week to help my oldest daughter move to a new apartment. She attends SCAD and is in her second year now and moved from the Victorian District to Whitemarsh Island as crime is getting to be an issue in parts of the downtown. Anyway, we stayed at the Fairfield Inn Midtown which is located just off Abercorn and very well located for our needs. It is an easy drive up to the Historic District and SCAD as well as out to Thunderbolt and the islands. The major malls lie further down along Abercorn.

The hotel is tucked away off Abercorn on a small cross-street and quiet. We felt safe at the location and very comfortable. It appears the Inn was remodeled not too long ago as the facilities are pretty good. The pool is nice. We found the staff to be very courteous and helpful and the complimentary breakfast was very adequate. I had plenty of free fruit (apples and oranges) to snack on. Plus, they left the apple juice and orange juice machine on all day.

The Travelocity room price was exceptional as this was at the end of the BIG ST. Patrick's Day weekend in Savannah. I had first attempted to reserve a room at several hotels closer to downtown that we had previously stayed in. Their prices had been jacked SKY HIGH and I knew these hotels did NOT merit those costs but for the proximity to the drunken events on River Street and such. So, I l booked three nights at the Fairfield for the cost of 1 night at my usual hotel. Funny thing was, we still enjoyed River Street and the City Market with no parking problems whatsoever.

Hotel Great , Daniel front desk cleark extremley informed and helpful about tourist needs . Paula Deans Resturant ok but wait in line 2.0 hours in 96 degree to get a seating a bit much . Suggest folks gop to Uncle Bubbas (also Paula deans resturant ) on Tybee island pricier but worth the trip of 17 miles

We didn't have advance reservations anywhere. This motel was recommended by Visiters Center. The hotel looks old & desperately need remodeling. The cigarette butts in the public ashtray by the seatee area on the 2nd floor were never cleaned out from the time we got there until we left.... 2 days... Rooms were OK, but small. One good thing was front desk staff - more than willing to help with questions. Wouldn't stay here again tho.

Newly renovated, 3rd floor was wonderful! Bed was hard and left me and spouse with back trouble. For the money I paid I couldn't be happier. Our room was upgraded to a king size. We had a refrigerator or freezer and a microwave. We had a newly renovated room. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A bit of construction still being completed, but not too much of a hassle. Loved it!!

Great breakfast, comfy bed, large TV, friendly staff. Shower too small! Not the best pick for sightseers and tourists because of the location, but the room was clean and warm, bed was comfortable, water was hot, cable worked, definitely a step up from a one-star. Husband and I felt safe and comfortable, and very well rested the next morning. You have to use your room key to get the elevator at the ground floor, great idea!

It was close to River Rd..where we wanted to go. It was old, smelled bad, looked very cheap. I would rate this hotel as a one star. I think a Motel 6 is pretty close to how this hotel looked. Stained up carpets, wallpaper coming off the walls, had a bad odor in it all through. I was very dissatisfied with this hotel.

The continental breakfast, free internet. The roof leaked, the service was poor. My wife and I were awoken at 3:30 am when the ceiling began dripping on us. The management didn't seem to believe us at first but when they finally came to our room, four distinctive leaks in the ceiling were dripping and large sections of the ceiling plaster had fallen. We were given a new Non-Smoking room that obviously had been smoked in. We were never apologized to or offered anything for our trouble. The staff claimed that they weren't responsible for the leaking ceiling. I would never recommend this Fairfield Inn to anyone.

"Very clean hotel, nice decor, great security and very friendly staff, but the location is misleading. The hotel is about 5-10 minutes away from historic district. Not a bad drive but with parking and traffic it can be a pain and expensive."
