hotel is situated cenral, near the termini and near vittorio emmanuelle metro station. i think this area must be the chinese quarter judging by the shops and people around. the hotel is owned and run by a lovely chinese couple. the hotel is on the second floor of a block ( all chinese living here again ) you have to look carefully for it as there is no hotel sign, just the name by the door. the rooms are lovely and clean, (apparently is new in 2008) and our room was cleaned every day. breakfast is a voucher for a coffee and croissant in a cafe over the way. the owners are reallly helpfull, and as i was daft enough to leave my car keys there , the owner posted them to me in the uk free of charge!! i would use this hotel again , for the money(50 euros per night) it is well worth it for a central hotel .

This hotel is in a great position to use as a base for visiting Rome. Its in a city area that looks a little run down but its friendly and safe and we never felt threatened or usafe at any hour of day or night! The hotel is on the 2nd floor in a residential block, whch makes you fel part of Rome, the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help with anything. The rooms are bijou (not tiny) but small and well formed, but more than adequate as a clean and very comfortable base for your stay. With wired internet access in the rooms free of any charge, and clean and tasteful decoration throughout, this hotel is a bargain. We loved its proximity to Roma Termini and Metro stations wich makes sightseeing simple and very cost effective. Excellent value for money! A++++++

Hotel is tucked away in what looks like a flat. The receptionist is extremely friendly and welcoming and helps as much as she can. Her English is okay but not brilliant. The room and bathroom was exceptionally clean. The only thing I would say about this hotel is that the bathrooms are very tight and don't leave a lot of room to move about!! Also there is a fair bit of noise from the outside road too. For some reason the bin men decide to remove the rubbish at about 12am and take a fair while to do so. All in all a good hotel and considering the price - excellent value for money and a great location.

Once I found the hotel it offered good accomodation at great price for central Rome. There is no sign at hotel, just a buzzer for appartment on second floor. No breakfast in hotel, just a voucher for cup of coffee and pastry at bar across street. Great for bargain stay.

No food Services, Breakfast was a croissant and cappucino or something similar at local bar. Nice though. We booked this hotel as we wanted to be central to all public transport around the Termini area and were quite happy. The Rooms are in a former Appartment but very clean and nicely decorated. One of the best 2 star hotels you will find. Read reviews don't just go by the star rating.

we were very content with this hotel!they were very friendly and tried hard to give us the best service. The room was very clean and nice. Moreover the breakfast was ok. The hotel has no room for the breakfast so you have to go to a bar 50 meters away. But this doesn't matter. All in all we were very content and will visit the hotel again! For me the hotel deserves more than 2 stars. I think3 or 4 stars. Very good hotel!

I stayed at Hotel Filippo with my boyfriend and I'm happy to say that we enjoyed our stay! It's nearer Vittorio Emmanuele station then Termini in terms of Metro stops, but close enough to Termini to be of walking distance when taking the train from the airport (when you get off the train, turn left?! and walk towards the Vittoria Emmanuele Market and not towards the main Metro station.) It's right beside the market, which is lovely for picking up fresh produce and some cheap clothing and shoes if that's your thing. Don't expect any frontage to the hotel coz there's none!! (not sure if it's work in progress coz the people at the recept said the place is 1 month old) and it's actually more of a converted apartment/ b&b than an actual hotel since you take the lift up to an apartment unit on the 2nd floor. But there was an ensuite toilet, comfy bed, LCD TV (small one), free mineral water and hairdryer in the bathrooom so all in all it was lovely and exceeded our expectations for the price we paid (134 euro for 2 nights, they only accept cash payment) Breakfast was a coupon to collect a pastry and coffee from a shop around the corner so don't expect much. Hopefully they keep it well maintained coz if i go back to Rome I would stay there again!

It was a little difficult to find but staff helpful. Would have been useful to have known building works are going on during the day as resting after the flight was impossible. Breakfast is at a snack bar across the road from the hotel but staff are friendly. The hotel has good transport links to all train / bus links.

A fantastic 2 star that could not be more perfect. Very centrally located, the typical italian breakfast in the cafe across the st was lovely (a croissant of your choice...go for the chocolate filled ones!!-- and the best capuccino in town). Everything was extremely clean and new. Should have a sign to say where the hotel is as it is based on a second floor within a building. Would deffinetely go back. Right next to a 5 star hotel too, so the area quite good. Just a few steps from Termini station and a short walk to amazing places like the Colosseum and the Forum.
