Hotel Fira BarcelonaVery large hotel- paid for upgraded room and was not disappointed. Room very spacious and clean, with large bathroom that had a bath and sep. shower. Room had two large beds, but got back after day out and they had made up the sofa bed for our son and left extra towels and toiletries for him. Location was good, few minutes walk to metro station. On-site parking, but remember to ask reception for a exit ticket to pay hotel rate, if not you will be charged EUR3 an hour. Did not eat at the hotel.

It is a lovely hotel, very clean and spacious rooms specially when you travel with kids. it is a family friendly hotel with a lovely swimming pool and a gym which is free for guests. It is in a great location near the palace and easy access to Ramblas by Metro. We enjoyed our stay and if we ever go back to Barcelona again we would definetely stay at this hotel.

We stayed at this hotel with our one year old baby for 3 nights and were really impressed. It was exactly what we wanted. The room was huge with 2 queen size beds and there was lots of space for the cot together with a table and sofa. It was very clean, comfortable and decor fine. The food (room service) was excellent. It was quiet at night as it is not in the busiest tourist area and we would definately stay there again for the amount we paid which wasnt expensive.

We ( a family of 4) arrived at the hotel following a 30 minute walk from the ferry terminus, near to the Columbus statue. With a map, it was easy to find. Without one, it might be tricky as it is tucked away off the main Parrel.Lel road.Feeling hot and tired after a long journey, we were really delighted when we walked into the hotel lobby. It is huge, open and very welcoming. We didn't fancy an early start the next day and were pleased that checkout was noon.We stayed for just one night. The room was huge as were the two Queen-size beds. There was a sofa and plenty of space. The bathroom consisted of a sink and a separate spacious shower as well as a toilet and bidet, again both in seperated spaces, with doors, within the bathroom. I cannot recall if there was a bath too.We made use of the tv - included BBC World News, Sky News and CNN. We also made use of the minibar which was well-stocked and predictably expensive! The rest of the family used the pool - we didn't know there was one beforehand. The pool water was not very clear and the pool was quite small. There was 24 hour rom service and at least one restaurant. There was a cocktail / piano bar and a restaurant in the process of refurbuishment. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We have just returned from Barcelona and had an excellent holiday. Our stay at the Fira Palace was very comfortable, the hotel was very clean and the maids came in to clean our room and change our towels every day. The staff were very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is centeral locatied and the public transport is just 5 minutes walk away. It is also 2 minutes away from the very famous fountain show ( its a must ) was amazing. The resturant we thought was a bit pricey but nothing wrong with the menu. Diffentily would stay here again, great value for money.

The hotel is surrouned by lods of bars, cafes and restauraunts so if you wish to cut your costs get out and sample Barcelona. The pool is part of a health complex with modern equipment and wasn't too crowded even when we stayed in July. Very spacious room to what we would describe as 4 star by UK standards. Very firm beds (which we like but others may not) and it seems a very quiet hotel for its location. We're back there for another 7 days from Saturday so....Highly Recommended

Rooms are very clean and spacious. We upgraded to a suite and found this quite costly. The reception staff were a mixed bunch with some very polite and helpful but some (one girl in particular) not so.The location of the hotel is ideal if you don't like staying right in the middle of the action but is ideally situated if you like it quieter being only four stops on the Metro from La Rambla. There are also some good little bars and eating places in the area mostly catering for locals but also welcoming to tourists.

Excellent hotel with great service. Weekend pricing a bit high (reverse of most US hotels which discount on weekend) but still not unrealistic for the quality of hotel.
