I usually stay at the more "upscale" hotels on the strip, but figured I'd try a new GO room at the Flamingo. I must say I was pretty impressed. The room was very clean and we had a pretty nice view of the pool. The shower had body sprayers, which were a nice little bonus. You CAN'T beat the location of the Flamingo, it's a quick taxi ride to anywhere on the strip. Check in was a little slow when we got there, but then they took us in the separate Platinum members check in to speed it up so that was nice. I would DEFINATELY stay again. Service was also good.

The Las Vegas Flamingo Hotel was a very freindly , comfortable hotel for short term visit and value. The staff was very helpful and offered great tips. The view of the strip and mountains was breathtaking. The location was perfect for shopping , shows , resturants and walking distance to all other casinos. Our room was an older room that needed many updates, but was kept clean....

THIS HOTEL WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED. WE RECENTLY BOOKED THROUGH online travel website AT THE FLAMINGO. WE WERE SET UP IN THE "OLDER" PART OF THE HOTEL. CHECK-IN WAS FAIRLY SMOOTH AND HASSLE FREE. THE ROOM, HOWEVER WAS ANOTHER MATTER.THE CARPET WAS OLD, WORN AND DIRTY. IT DIDN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE IT HAD BEEN VACUUMED RECENTLY. THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF ELECTRICAL ENTRANCEWAY ABOVE THE SHOWER THAT HAD INSULATION COMING OUT OF IT.THE BED WAS ENTIRELY TOO SOFT AND HAD ONLY ONE THIN BLANKET.ALSO, I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE A COFFEE POT IN THE ROOM, THERE WAS NOT. WHEN I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT IT, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS "NO WAY I COULD GET ONE,THAT COFFEE POTS WERE ONLY GIVEN TO PEOPLE IN THE TOP FLOORS WHOM HAD PAYED MORE", NO KIDDING,THAT IS WHAT THE person ACTUALLY TOLD ME.THERE WAS PAINT PEELING OF THE DOORS IN THE BATHROOM AND NO EXHAUST FAN IN THERE.WHEN WE CALLED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE ROOM, THEY OFFERED TO MOVE US TO THE NEXT FLOOR UP. WHAT A HASSLE. INSTEAD, THEY GAVE US A $30 FOOD CREDIT ON THE ROOM TAB.EVEN THE ELEVATORS WERE DIRTY AND WORN DOWN. THE SEAFOOD BUFFET WAS ONLY SO-SO. THE BEST PART WAS MARGARITAVILLE. GREAT PLACE AND GREAT FOOD AT A REASONABLE PRICE.THEY HAVE NO $5 OR LESS TABLES IN THEIR CASINO.WILL NOT BE STAYING THERE AGAIN. I EXPECTED MUCH NICER ACCOMODATIONS FROM AN OLDER AND ESTABLISHED RESORT.

Check is was horrible. After two delay in flight we arrived at 11 pm. Was up graded to executive floor but said it wouldnt be ready for half hour. Came back 1 hour later and still not ready. another 1 and a half hour later (1:30am) we were able to got our room. The doors of the bathroom hadnt been cleaned for a long time, the carpets were stained. the two lights outside in the hall were out, it was so dark you could hardly find the slot for you key. I let them know it was not very clean and the lights were out in the hall. They would get the lights fixed, but three days later when we departed they were still out. The woodwork in the hall looked like it had not been cleaned for ages. We have no desire to stay at this hotel again.. The plus was the food was good, and the staff was polite.

Very fair price for the quality. I had one waiter at the Paradise gardens buffet that was slovenly in appearance and curt in manner. I'd recommend the Flamingo to anyone who wants to enjoy Las Vegas without spending too much on the room itself but definitely wants to be on the strip within short range of the fun.

The Flamingo in Las Vegas is a old and affordable hotel. The location was perfect. The room was clean but needed some improvedments. This was our second stay at this hotel. The staff of the hotel were very friendly and accomadating. The exterior area of the hotel is very beautiful with it's gardens and pools. We would stay at this hotel on our next trip to Vegas

The Flamingo is an awesome location on the strip. The standard rooms were nothing to brag about but I hear the Go Luxury rooms were a nice upgrade. The bathroom was not accommodating in space and function. The sink and vanity were located inside the tiny bathroom, therefore, only one person could get ready at a time. Overall, I would stay at the Flamingo again. The food, comps, and staff were wonderful.

First time staying at the Flamingo. Had a standard room that was not renovated. Yes, some of the furniture had scrapes and wear, but for the price it was a great value. Clean facilities and convenient location at the cross-walk. Best of all was the pool! For kids and adults, offered great fun and variety. Not a big fan of the buffet, though. PS... if you stay at the Flamingo, you better like the color pink.

For the most part, we had a nice stay at the Flamingo. The rooms were nice and clean. The beds were very comfortable, but you could hear people in the hallway and in the room above you. The wildlife area and the swimming pools were beautiful. The pools get very crowded, so if you want to use a pool chair, go to the pool as soon as it opens at 8:00 a.m.. Checking into the hotel took quite a while with the long lines. When we finally reached the front desk, we weren't exactly greeted with a smile. The unfriendliness of the front desk associates continued with every interaction throughout our stay. In contrast, the small incidental and gift shop associates, as well as the bellhops, were very pleasant and helpful. There were many places to eat in the Flamingo. We enjoyed the food. We used the shuttle frequently. It was convenient to have the Flamingo as one of the stops on its' route. Sign up for the free rewards card and you'll receive a $5 certificate to play the slots!

That was our first time is Vegas and we had a blast. We liked the hotel. However, we paid for the luxury Go-Room with Strip view but did not get the Strip view. Make sure when you stay at the Flamingo to get the updated rooms. The Flat Screen TV in the bathroom was awesome. Although, the bathroom tub could be bigger to fit two people and be more updated.

We stayed at the Flamingo for three nights in March 09. We found the staff at the Flamingo very friendly. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade, which we took. Our room had great views of the strip. The room was ok. It was big and clean, but definitely showing signs of wear and tear. The wallpaper in the bathroom was discolored and the woodwork was all chipped off. The dining room staff was very attentive and the food was pretty good. The Casino staff wasn't as friendly as at other casinos. We would stay there again.

The location of the hotel was great...right in the middle of everything. The room was in decent shape. The only issues I had was that the bathroom was in need of updating, and the hotel wanted to charge $11.99 for one day of wireless internet. The beds were comfortable, and the room was clean. Everything was nearby or within a short walk.

The Flamingo isn't the newest, or coolest hotel on the Strip, but if you are a relatively frequent Vegas visitor it's a great place to stay because it's within walking distance to high end casinos, and also fun little cut rate places that have inexpensive blackjack tables. Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville is at the end of the hotel and tons of fun with lively entertainment every night. The Paradise Buffet (no relation to Jimmy!) is pretty good for the price (excellent crab legs) and the pool is very nice with a tropical setting, if you use it before the afternoon crowds arrive. The standard (what they call deluxe) rooms are ho-hum, but clean. For the money it's a great 3 star hotel and makes Vegas more affordable without being stuck in a dive

was very comfortable, the room seemed much larger than most with a desk area and a table and two chairs. I liked the fact that the bathroom was separate from the vanity area and there was a sink with a long counter and there was adequate space for hanging clothes and they provided two suitcase stands. The location was very good -- it was really only one long block to Downtown Disney and there were restaurants very close

The Flamingo staff on checkin was very cordial despite the fact we arrived at midnight. They gave us an upgrade to a newly remodeled room for one night until we could move into a standard room along with and offer to stay in the newer room for an additional $40 per night. Although the upgrade rooms are very nice (flat screen T.V. with surround sound, great mattress, free cd with welcome message, etc.) the standard room was fine. Hey, it's Vegas! We didn't go there to sleep in the room... The hotel staff did a superior job.

Nice hotel. Rooms were not perfect, but the beds were comfortable and the view was beautiful. If a new room is a priority, pay extra for the GO room. Overall, the resort was beautiful. As others have said, you must be at the pool very early to get a chair. Used the monorail several times--no lines. Don't miss Freemont Street.

The Flamingo is right in the center of everything. The price is affordable and you are in walking distance of most hotels on the strip. The rooms are nothing special, but they are clean and serve there purpose on trip to Vegas. This may seem odd, but I was most impressed by the number of elevators and how well they accomodated the number of people staying at the hotel.

The Flamingo had everything I needed for business travel and this particular convention, in terms of location, however, I was given a very old room that was not clean, and the bathroom was gross, with vents full of mildew and junk. I had an associate who checked in a day later and was given a newly renovated room, which he said was very nice and clean. I felt like I got the short end of the stick !

Great quality, amazing pool, great for kids, friendly and helpful staff. Nothing negative to report. The Flamingo is perfectly located in the center of the strip and close to major attractions and shopping. The 4 pools and tropical environment offer a resort like experience. The newly upgraded hotel rooms are modern and very unique, with a plasma screen TV. and a flat panel screen in the bathroom mirror. The drapes are operated by a bedside switch, giving an "Austin Powers" feel to the room. A great experience overall.

The Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas is an excellent place to stay. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Las Vegas, and appreciated the kind staff at the Flamingo as well as all of its amenities. The room was very large, clean, and well stocked with all the necessaries...towels, toiletries, etc. The pool was excellent. The Flamingo has four pools in total. They even provide towels for their guests. The Flamingo Hotel is in an excellent location. It is in the center of the Las Vegas Strip, making it very easy to visit and access all the casinos and hotels in the area. The free shuttle behind Harrah's hotel right next door was handy too. You can take it every half hour to the Rio and other hotels owned by Harrahs. The monorail was also available right near the Flamingo. The hotel even gave tickets for half off on the monorail. I had a great time and would definitely recommend the Flamingo for your stay in Vegas. It is well-priced, clean, and fun place to stay.

I was surprised at the state of wear in the bathroom in particular. Everything in the bathroom was badly in need of replacing. The rest of the room was OK for the money, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet enough to sleep. Although, I must also add that the carpet was rather dirty and there was (gag) a blood stain on the underside of the bedspread which I promptly took off the bed. So, I guess you get what you pay for, but I won't be going back any time soon unless I am broke and desperate :).

Too old and bad service, not accommodating. Customer service not helpful, old room. The room we were assigned was adjacent to the elevator. We did not get any sleep because of the noise of the cables, bells, etc. Tried to change the room but customer service denied our request because of no vacancy. There was not enough people that day. Tried many ways to contact customer service to no avail. I don't quite mind that the room was old & worn out but the noise was unbearable. I will not come back to this hotel.

We purchased a room with free upgrade to Go room through this site which was not honoured, even with a $20 inducement as recommended by previous reviewers. Front desk would not move from an extra $40 per night so we stayed in an ordinary room which was reasonably OK, but we felt cheated. From the rooms you can access the pool area and restaurants without going through the vast casino, and unlike some other hotels, you get natural light in the public areas from outside which is nice. The pool was really good if a bit crowded and the staff here and in the restaurants could not be faulted, which also goes for room service which was excellent and reasonably priced. We only really had breakfast in the hotel as we wanted to try other options for dinner and found that we could get better for a similar price outside. There is a particularly good Italian restaurant very close to the pool exit of the hotel. The hotel is perfectly situated in the centre of the strip, but be aware that if you need a break from the incredible noise and flashing lights, there are better options off strip. We were there for a wedding being held nearby and it was a good location. All the staff were friendly and helpful, with the exception of the front desk at check in, and happily there is a facility to check out without going back to them, we did it via the TV in seconds. In conclusion, the hotel standards reflect the price you pay - there are more luxurious options for far more expense but it is friendly and adequate. Nothing though, will make up for them not honouring the pre-booked upgrade.

The Flamingo is a good deal, if you upgrade to the go room. Be prepared to smell cigarettes and cigar smoke everywhere. The staff was very polite and helpful. The pool was okay, they didn't keep it or the area very clean. Garbage everywhere floating in the pool, lying around, just everywhere. The tropical cafe has really really good burgers, sandwiches and fries. The buffett there closes at around 3:30 to get ready for dinner. The casino is located right in the middle of the strip easy to get to the deuce(the bus that runs up and down the strip) and to all neighboring casinos. The deuce is cheap and fast and easy to get to, the monorail it is not cheap and hard to get to, only the backs of casinos good luck with that!!

Wrong place to stay on a honeymoon! I heard about the newly remodeled rooms & thought it would be nice. Yeah, well we didn’t get the room we were promised. We got one of the non-remodeled rooms. Old & stained carpet. Restroom door hit the toilet. Requested a refrigerator for my medication, was put on a waiting list & never got it. Resulted to buying a cooler & keeping my meds there. Not the best experience you’d expect on your honeymoon.

Staying at the Flamingo was easy. They placed everything in the hotel for easy access and knowledge if you wanted to get something or go somewhere (if not in the hotel on the strip). However, the only thing I didn't like was that at 2 or 3AM the only thing open was the store with chips, coke, and any last minute things you forgot for your trip. I would have liked to have seen a resturant open inside of the hotel so when I'm hungry after getting back I am able to pick up some food and head to my room or I'm able to sit down and eat if wanted. Other than the food situation...it was great! Exotic animals outside the Flamingo, a big gift shop, friendly service, clean rooms. DON'T FORGET THE DEUCE BUS STOP right outside the hotel...makes it easier not to miss your ride.

Unfortunately, Our time was not the greatest. Our room was terrible. Small with no extra luxuries. The bathroom was about the size of an outhouse. So small you had to close the door inorder to sit on the toilet. My husband slipped on the tile floor getting out of the shower ( you had to practically climb over the toilet) and jammed his foot into the ceramic molding and broke his big toe. Kind of soured out trip. I have stayed at the Flamingo before and had much better accommadations. I feel like we were stuck in a back corner, which we were, on 8th floor by the stairwell. The check in line was hideous. Serpentined through the lobby. Table and waiter staff was in short supply both indoors and out. Tables were left dirty. I even asked for a bar rag at Sin City Brewery to clean out outside table. Not very appealing!

Buffet seemed kind of expensive for what was on it, especially for Breakfast. All in all the hotel has a great location and has casinos on either side that seem to appeal more to younger travelers, as the Flamingo seemed to attract older people. This was not the nicest room I have stayed in in vegas, but definitely the best location and value so far. The Price is Right Cliffhanger machine payed off well!

Go room located on 23rd floor outstanding view of Bellogio water show could lay on setee and see the action at Ceasers Palace and strip. Outstanding central location on strip. However hotel showing age and looks as if they have cut back on staff as long waiting lines at both Buffet and Tripical Breeze caused by waiting to get tables cleared.

We arrived to the hotel at 9:00 a.m. and the desk clerk offered to check us in some rooms that were currently available, instead of waiting for some to be cleaned. Unfortunately, the room he gave my husband and I smelled of stale smoke, was dusty, and when we opened our curtain, there was a wall. We went back to the front desk and the check-in line was long by this time. We waited in line for a while then just went up to the desk and the same clerk was hesitant about moving us. He said he would have talk to a manager. He talked to a manager, and did change our room. The second room was ok. The view was much better and seemed to be clean. We were there from Wednesday until Saturday. Two of the three days we took showers, the water was tepid. Location was good, weather was too cool to use the pool. The buffet restaurant in the hotel was very good. My friends that met us there had a good room, nice view, and warm showers.

Make sure you get out to the pool early in the morning to save chairs. The location of the flamingo is right in the middle of the strip which is super convenient!

We went to Vegas at the beginning of January and stayed at this hotel. We used a online website and ended up in one of the upgraded rooms. The room was nice with automatic curtains, a LCD tv, and there was even a TV installed in the bathroom mirror. The bathroom also had a tub with a separate shower. One of the few bad thing about the room was that the bathroom door slid closed but did not close all the way. Also, the bathroom door is frosted so you may wake up others in your room if you use the bathroom at night becuase of the light shining through. Overall, it was very clean and even though we did not spend much time in the hotel, the room was decently priced and in an excellent location.

We did just about everything. I feel the hotel could use more small eating places. They need to stop people for holding chairs at the pool. People would go down at 6:00 in the morning and lay a towel down by 9:00 you can't find chairs We have stay there before and have been very happy with the rooms and everything we are always bring new people with us.I will need to think about staying there again because of the room and the very busy pool.

We stayed at the Flamingo Hotel while planning our wedding. We stayed in a Deluxe Room with a "strip view". The view was nice at night, we only saw the lights from the strip but during the day we were looking at the roof top of the building in front of us (Very Ugly). The room was clean and very spacious but was definitely older, no newness to the room at all. We only had hot water for our shower on 2 of the 4 days and we never had hot water in the sink. The room did have an easy to use self service safe which was very nice. At check in we were informed there is a $ a night despoist required which was a surprise. The Habitat behind the hotel is beautiful but does have an 'animal' smell at first. The pools were very nice and give you lots of room. Breakfast Buffet was wonderful, affordable price, good food and spectacular view! We did not stay in a GO room but we did here they are newly remodeled and worth the extra money... We wish we had upgraded from the Deluxe Room.

Very disappointed in our room. We had to wait in long line to check in . Next, I had requested room non smoker , king bed, strip view. Non available, room that was given was small, and backed up to the elevators. Black stuff, don't know what it was kept coming out of faucet, when running bath water..Needless to say, questioned need of bath..We checked in at 2pm , went back down to request room change, lines still long, so we went to play slots for awhile. After dinner stopped by desk again, requested room change, was told since we checked in at 2pm and now it was 7pm, it would be the next da y before room could be changed. Told to come back to desk between 11 and 1 pm. This room was better. Will not stay again at this hotel.. And this is the hotel we stayed at when we last visited Las Vegas, 2007. But not again.

Be prepared to ride the mass transit all over Vegas. The Flamingo is located near trams, buses and shuttles that make getting around easier. The downfall is having to ride the mass transit practically everywhere due to the length /distance of the strip. An additional downside is a few of the trams/ monorails do not take you to every major hotel along the strip. The pool at the Flamingo was great (there are 3).

We enjoyed our stay at the Flamingo. There was some confusion on getting a non-smoking room so we were told we would be upgraded to a mini-suite. Although there was additional space in the room, there was no refrigerator and the bed was in a separate room without a TV. The bathroom was quite small. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room so these were mere inconveniences. The room was very clean each day. We were disappointed in the selection of places to eat at this hotel, but we were able to find plenty of restaurants nearby. The bus route was right outside the entrance and we were able to walk to several casinos along the strip. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have won a jackpot, but not this time!

The location is what brought me to the Flamingo, you just can't beat it if you want to roam the strip! I expected a bit more from a 3 1/2 star hotel, would give them a 2 star if I were basing this on amenities. I was quite disappointed with the lack of room amenities - no coffee pot or fridge in the room, even the Holiday Inn Express offers these small amenities! When I asked about them at the front desk I was told those things are "available only in the executive suites". I'd be upset if that was all I got in an executive suite! The Casino staff went above and beyond to be helpful, courteous and friendly. Always there with a smile, a drink or to help out.

Had no problem with our hotel, had an older room and thought it was nice, comfortable king bed. View was awesome!! Stayed at Hoot ers casino the year before and in comparison the Flamingo was so much cleaner. Great deal at Flamingo was the Nathan Burton and buffet special! Paid one low price and got dinner an a show at Flamingo! Location was great, in the middle of the strip which made it nice to be able to see everything. The pool was very nice, though you have to get there pretty early to get a chair. The Miller Chill bar out front was a great little bar to people watch and get a great drink special. I would definatly stay at the Flamingo again!

The first room was musty, the shower did not drain, the carpeting was in places. We had them move us. The second room was at least clean, if still small and old-looking. The elevators were an adventure - never knew where they would stop or even if they would stop at your floor. $11.99 for one day of internet - and sloooow internet at that - is robbery. The buffet was only OK compared to other buffets for the same price. The pool was nice and the zoo was interesting. The people were all nice, but it was still not worth the price. At least parking is free. Wait, it's free all over Las Vegas.

Great location. Felt like an overcrowded amusement park. Rooms are supposedly ready at 3 pm, however I got in the check-in line at 3pm, didn't make it to the front of the line until 3:45 pm, and still had to wait until 5:00pm forroom to be ready. The pool was ridiculously crowded and the constant stream of people in the hallways, all night long made it impossible to sleep. It is more like a 24 hour circus than a hotel.

I reserved 3 rooms for my family and we arrived about 7pm on a Saturday for a 5 night stay.. Our rooms were old and in need of remodeling, the view was of the parking lot, and we had a very long walk from the elevators. We were offered to change rooms that had a better view. However, they were smoking rooms that also needed remodeled and still with the long walk down to the elevator. Half of the lighting in the bathroom did not work and made it difficult to put on makeup. The sink did not have a bubbler screen in it and would splatter you and your clothes every time you washed your hands. Hallways had dirty dishes that stayed there for most of the day. Parking was difficult and a long way away. The only good thing was the location - right in the middle of the strip.

The hotel room at the Flamingo Las Vegas was large and spacious. It has a small mini refrigerator, that was nice to keep my sodas chilled. Timing is everything!! The line for check-in can be very long. Also, I have yet to determine how rooms are assigned. I've had good luck and bad luck by indicating I wanted a quiet nonsmoking room. This week, some of my friends who wanted nonsmoking rooms were upgraded to a "Go Room". I got a older room with a CRT TV with only six channels, which was repaired after I complained. The rooms, elevators and carpeting need to be updated. Was I treated differently because I paid less than my friends for a "deluxe" room? Blind Luck? If I didn't know how other guests were treated e.g. upgrade maybe I wouldn't feel somehow cheated. Yes, I recommeded the Flamingo but I wasn't given the choice of "it depends".

We like the location of the Flamingo- we were supposed to have a 'Deluxe Room". The room was fine, but the bathroom was old- small- needed to be re-papered, and the ceiling looked like it may cave in! We should have asked to get a different room. It was very clean, and the people were very nice, we would stay again, but ask for a change at the beginning.

The Flamingo is a good value given where it is located on the strip - right in the middle of it all. Easy access to everything & a short walk from your room to the actual strip. The larger hotels seem to take forever to get thru & get outside. The hotel, however, needs to get rid of the constant bombardment of sales people trying to pitch you discounted shows if you sit thru their timeshare tour. We stayed at the Flamingo 6 days & 5 nights & got hit up everytime we walked out of the elevator or thru the lobby! At least 10 times a day! Need a coffee pot in the room and a 24 hour resturant. No place to eat at 1 a.m. Room was nice with a great view. I would recommend more staff at the check in/out desk. Lines were a little long there. Otherwise, I would stay again due to the reasonable price & great location!!!

The best thing about this hotel is the location. Also, it has a beautiful pool area. Unfortunately, for maintenance and upkeep I could only rate Flamingo a 2. This is because the elevators to the parking garage were in very poor/dangerous condition. We got stuck on one (NO AIRCONDITIONING) for 10 minutes. Before that we were on one that felt like it was on a bungee cord and kept lurching up and down. After those experiences, we just used the stairs to get to and from our car on the 6th floor.

Atrium. Sheets very rough. The flamingo seemed to be in a pretty bad state. Lots of non-working elevator electrical signs. The room was Old and not clean.. Looking around the room, the bathroom was dirty, hair on the floor and bathtub. The carpet looked as if it had not been vacuumed recently or ever. Pulled back the bed sheets, hair in the bed. My husband called the front desk, it was very late and we were told that they would give us a $30 towards food in a restruant in the Hotel, and we could move the next morning. We did move.. ourselves', no help from the Hotel and the room was more updated and cleaner. The Flamingo is old and not up to date for having a prime spot on the strip. They need to blow it up and start over.. We wont stay there again. Sorry we tried to save a few $$.

The Flamingo is always a great place to stay on the Las Vegas strip. It is centrally located, and easy to get anywhere you want to go up and down the strip via cab or monorail. (there is a station attached to the hotel) The price is one of the lowest for one of the nicer hotels in the area. I suggest staying in one of the Go rooms, the little extra price is more than worth it when you see the room.

The good stuff: perfect location & cheap cheap price. We had the older unrenovated rooms, and they were in good nic. The not so good: seemed clean, until we looked under the beds...lots of left-behinds from other guests! Only other grumble is the layout if you bring your own car. The garage is at least 5 mins walk from the lobby, so you walk there and back to check in, then back again with all your bags after you've parked (couldn't see any trolleys in the garage) to go to your room. Then there's the obligatory promenade through the casino as the elevators for your room are (of course) on the far far far side of the casino. It took just under an hour to get to our room. Other hotels seemed to have a much more compact/accessible design. Overall - would I stay again, or recommend to friends? - absolutely - the price is a complete steal for such a well-located and historic hotel. Just travel light, and don't look under the beds!!

The Flamingo was exactly what my husband and I were looking for on our very brief visit to Las Vegas (we only stayed the night). It still has a classic feel despite being very modern and having plenty of amenities. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had great views (even the ones looking down into the courtyard), and the casino was accessible both in terms of the games themselves and money-wise. We had a great time at the Flamingo and would recommend it to other travelers.

we acquiesced to accepting a "smoking" room so that we could "Check in" before our time. Nice gesture, but BIG MISTAKE." Had we spent any amount of time in the room but for sleep, we would have had to leave. For a renovated room, it smelled as if it had not been cleaned since "Bugsy" last stayed! In addition, the air conditioning was very poor. The staff at best was luke warm to our presence. With all this being said, we were going to stay an additional night albeit in another room. That is until I approached the male clerk at the desk the morning of our scheduled departure to inquire about the availability and cost of an additional nights stay. Put out by our request, he did manage to look up the information and informed me that my cost would be 90 some dollars. I suggested that the internet would give me a cheaper rate and asked could he work with us.......... he kurtly responded that I should just go to the internet........and i did....... and booked another hotel! my point is that he was not helpful in the least. No suggestion that i talk to a slot host, or inquire about the amount spent in this establishment. It simply put me off... and they were not the only hotel in town during a down turn in the economy!!! Never again.
