General Description

Edinburgh Quay is designed over six floors, with some of the central apartments overlooking the beautifully regenerated EQ canal basin. This cool urban setting is home to smart apartments and equally stylish bars and restaurants; from here to the heart of the city is a matter of minutes. These are truly lovely city centre apartments; choose from a 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartment. Inside, you'll find Italian designer furniture, contemporary fabrics and fully controllable central heating. Naturally, there's wireless broadband and a rather impressive entertainment system that includes an LCD cable television, superior CD player and TVs in the master and second bedrooms The open plan living spaces include a generous dining area and a kitchen equipped with the latest appliances; most master bedrooms have an ensuite shower room with hi-fi speaker. The bathrooms have a superb multi-position Grohe shower. From 1st October 2008, breakfast starter packs are available to order prior to arrival costing 5 per person per day. Please contact the apartments to make arrangements. Parking is available on a first come first served basis and costs 6 per day rising to 8 on 1st April 2010. Important Information - All guests are required to provide a valid credit or debit card upon arrival to be used as a guarantee such as phone calls and any damages. Photographic identification must also be provided which matches the name on the card. In the event that a guest does not have a credit or debit card then a 50GBP cash deposit shall be required this will be returned upon check out once the apartment has been inspected.

Pleasantly appointed service apartments a bit off the main drag but at the definitely up and coming Fountain Park edge of town. No real facilities on site but within walking distance of shops and bars and City Centre. Friendly reception staff.

When we booked this hotel, or actually, apartment, we thought we were getting a one bedroom apartment. However, when we checked in, we realized it was actually a huge 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment. It was beautiful--so much so, that we stayed in 2 nights to cook dinner (we weren't crazy about Scottish cuisine--Haggis, anyone?). It was reasonably priced, extremely clean, and the people were very accomodating. We couldn't believe that both bedrooms, and the living room, had flat screen TVs! The only criticism we had was that there was a lot of construction going on right outside the hotel, which made it both noisy (in the morning) and unsightly. However, despite all of that--we'd definitely go back--just after the construction is done.

Pleasant,modern, anonymous service flats - poor facilties locally re shops etc but this may shape up once the nearby building works (more flats( complete. Handy for Haymarket rail station and within walking distance of city centre. More for tourists and Festival than business folk.
