A real gemThis was a real gem of an apartment in a wonderfully smart shopping street just below the Spanish steps. The apartment is on the 4th floor in a chic building and, once inside, you feel as if you are staying in a great little pied-a terre. OK the plumbing needed coaxing and the jacuzzi part of the bath does not work, but with wooden floors, painted ceilings and a beautifully quiet back bedroom, this was still perfect and had great character. The children slept on the sofa bed in the sitting room overlooking the street, which was fine for their ages (10 and 12). For anyone much older, this bed might not be quite substantial/comfy enough. The bar in the same street is terrific and very good value if you eat or drink inside rather than on the more expensive street seats. All in all, this was a real treat as it was walking distance to almost everywhere and just 2 minutes from the metro. We can't wait to go back.
