This is the 2nd time we have stayed there. Reasonably priced. Lots of gambling options, nice restaraunts, bingo, coffee stand, and gift shop. A traveler could be just happy staying there all day with all of the amenities they have. Quiet and a little off the strip yet within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. Only complaint if I had to have one is that wish the bathrooms were a little bigger. Shower head was awesome though!

Convenient location. Not very interesting place for 3 star rating. Did not have many places to sit and relax outside of room. Pool area not very pleasant. Boring hotel, unattractive. I would not want to stay there again.

This hotel is awesome! We went to Vegas to get married and when we checked in I asked the girl if there were any complimentary upgrades b/c of our situation and she provided us with the luxury honeymoon suite on the 10th floor. We had a standard room for 1 night and they are decent. The food is so so. Ping Pang Pong the chinese spot is REALLY good but a little pricey. The Cafe that is open in the wee hours of the morning was not however, stear clear of that one. The casino is okay The hotel is 2 blocks south of Las Vegas CHinatown, so the casino is full. The table games are priced decent, the slots not so loose. Overall I would recommend it. For the price you can't beat it, but you will need a rental car b/c it is a bit off the strip.

The reservations desk was very friendly about switching our room to a room with two beds instead of one. I was placed in a smoking room instead of a non-smoking room as requested. The staff were very nice at the Hotel however even though I requested a non-smoking room, I was placed in a smokers room to which was very uncomfortable because our clothing had the odor of smoke.

Nothing. It was a filthy hotel; the hallways had fouled smell and terrible carpet. The room was worst than a cheap motel. It wasn't worth, I played. Staying at gulf coast was probably my worst experience with it. The room was horrible old furniture, bad linen, small bathroom. I can go on and on, but don¿t have the time. It should probably remove this hotel from its web-site. It was definitely not worth night we played.

The breakfast buffet. Smokiness in lobby, very average. Good location if you don't mind to shuttle a bit, too far to walk. Very average in rooms, bed, etc. Loud air conditioning. Will be good to get a TGIF Fridays in house.

It was quiet. Nice crowd staying there. Dixie land jazz. The telephone message light didn't work. This was a very comfortable, friendly experience. My business took me only across the road to the palms hotel, so the location was perfect. My companion and I didn't leave the hotel for sightseeing, as planned, because there was so much going on at the gold coast. The food was great.

Great price for a clean & comfortable room. Great Location. Though they are clean, the bathrooms need updating. Though this hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, you are pleasantly surprised once inside. It is older, but well maintained in the lobby & casino. Rooms were recently renovated & are nicer than on my last stay. Rooms are spacious & clean. The bathrooms need updating. They are a time warp to the 70's with brown tub & toilette. But if the color of the tub is all there is to complain about, that's not too bad. Location is slightly off the strip, but right next to the Palms & the Rio. Very short cab ride to the strip. A great value for the price.

"The Gold Coast is a great place to stay in Vegas, the strip is easily accessible, right next door to Rio, enjoyed the fun book freebies"

The flat panel TV. Smoking in lobby and check in needs more individuals. For the short notice and unable to get a room it was accommodating to my needs and clean room & showers.

Price. Amenities. The hotel really is an old school Vegas casino or hotel. Rather tacky but the payouts were great!

The food and gaming was great. The player's card could be improved. The video poker machines are the best odds in town. They are the 9 for a full house and 6 for a flush which are hard to find. The food in the cafe is very good and inexpensive. I stay here whenever I come to Vegas.

The lobby and casino were nice but the rooms were old and small. Towels were small and we were only given 2. Trouble with fire alarm in the middle of the night so while trying to sleep, there were announcements coming over the loudspeaker in our room and we were unable to sleep. Long walk from the car to the elevators for the room which required us to walk completely through the casino with all our luggage. Would not stay again.

There was a shuttle service to the strip. I wanted a more romantic hotel that was on the strip with better view. This hotel is more for the locals you like to play the casino. The staff is not very helpful or friendly. It is more of a casino and less of a hotel.

Hotel was clean and the a/c was wonderful. Room was your basic hotel room, but the service was fantastic, courteous & prompt. We arrived hours early and they worked to get a room ready for us and stored our luggage. We were able to get a roll away bed on short notice, no charge. The staff was better than any I have encountered at more expensive resorts. This hotel met my needs and exceeded them. Room service was prompt and inexpensive. We were able to travel to the strip and outlet malls with no trouble and little expense. I would stay here again.

While not on the strip this hotel offers a bargain experience. The room was clean although we did have two issues. Hot water and the ice machine on our floor was not working, but both repaired within fifteen minutes of the call to the front desk. Free shuttle to the strip was a great plus. The buffet was not up to par, but there are other places to eat in the casino area. Overall the hotel and staff were very helpful with questions and directions.

Enjoyed our stay at the Gold Coast. The room was large and very clean. There is a free shuttal to the Strip and the Orleans Hotel and Casino. The Breakfast Buffet is outstanding. With the Club Coast card the Breadfast Buffet.

We choose this hotel because of the price and because it does have a shuttle that drops off at Bill Gamblin Hall on the strip from 9am to 1230am. The room was ok, but that bathroom was so out of date is was sad. When was the last time you saw a green and beige bathroom, horrible. The hallways were stuffy because they don't turn on the air-conditioner in the hall. You have to enjoy that luxury when you get to your room. It was fairly quiet and the housekeeping staff did a good job. Every time I visited the strip I wondered why we didn't choose one of those beautiful hotels. It has a TGI fridays inside and we ate their a lot. The pool is just boring, no diving board, no slide...which would explain why there was raeally no one out there. I just love 4 star luxury hotels that's just me and if you're into that don't stay here. I felt as if this were a hotel for the older crowd..it doesn't have a nightclub or anything.

We stayed four nights in May. Check in and check out were smooth and swift. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Never had a wait for the shuttle to the strip. The breakfast buffet was very good. We visited TGI Fridays often which had excellent service. Beautiful bowling center upstairs.

Location was good & room was clean. Not children friendly. No micro wave in the room to warm baby food & restaurant staff refused to allow us warm infant's food. Hotel location good, the restaurant where I had buffet had excellent variety. The hotel should be made more infant friendly by allowing use of microwave.

I called housekeeping at 1:30PM my second day when I returned to my room and found it unserviced. I was told to hand the "Maid Wanted" card on the door; which I did. I returned at 9PM to find room still unserviced. I asked front desk mgr for credit for one nights lodging; but was told that since I booked via internet there was nothing they could do. I definitely DO NOT recommend this hotel for online booking, (of course I have no way of knowing if service would have been any better if I had booked the reservation any other way).

"The Gold Coast was exactly what I expected. I was a expecting a nice, off-the-strip hotel...and that's what it was. The room was clean. The bathroom area was OK (yes, there isn't much room between the toilet and the door, but it's not a big deal). One great feature was the water pressure (and hot water) in the shower. The only issue I had was since this is an older hotel, there was more smoke in the casino are than at some of the newer hotels."

"Check in was a breeze but the room was sub-par at best. Stains on the carpet, very noisy A/C unit. Ugly and cramped bathroom Two of the restaurants at the hotel were just plain awful! To the point of not being able to finish the meal. The casino is the smokiest casino I've ever been in. It's almost like there's no ventilation. We ended up spending most of our time across the street at either the Rio or The Palms. This will be the last time I ever stay at this particular hotel."

Not a bad place to stay for the $$. Bath a little small, but for one person it's satisfactory. Good place to gamble, table limits for all, dealers and waitresses friendly, would recommend for singles or guys that just need a place to stay while you hit the town.
