



At the end of the 18th century the house was known under the name Einkehrgasthof zum Goldenen Jagerhorn (The golden hunter's horn Inn). Franz Grillparzer was known to spend a lot of time there. Between 1913 and 1919, it was a popular meeting place for well-known authors, like Peter Altenberg, Franz Kafka and Max Brod. In 1927, the Graben Hotel was purchased by the Kremslehner Family. The hotel with its 41 rooms is situated in the city centre at the beginning of the old town district. All rooms have, by the given architecture of the building, an individual character and are mainly furnished with Art Nouveau and period furniture. Furthermore, all rooms are equipped with WC, bath or shower, direct dial telephone, minibar, cable TV, radio, safe and hairdryer, as well as high speed Internet access via modem connection. All public areas dispose of Wireless-Lan. The Graben Hotel can be reached very easily by public transports and a garage service is provided for drivers. The Trattoria Santo Stefano, an Italian Restaurant is situated in the same building and offers well known italian classics. The main focus of the cuisine is on Venetian specialities, home made noodles and fresh fish. The Hotel comprises smoking as well as non smoking rooms.
