The hotel faces a Piazza that is torn up. Dirt and noise abound in the area. Approximately 100 immigrants are sitting in the street and lined up in the only walkway near the hotel. It felt dangerous. The room for $300+ was tiny.

A friend and I stayed here for 5 nights as our central take off point to other cities and adventures. This location is within 2 blocks or so of the train station - so you can walk easily. It is also relatively close to the Central Market and the San Lorenzo shopping area. Breakfast was included in our stay and the offerings were amazing. It even included milk choices for whole, lowfat, lactose intolerant and soy! They have 2 computers for free use by guests. They are basic and you have to get a code from the front desk. Its great for folks not traveling with a PC. The rooms were very clean, spacious by european standards and the staff were very friendly. We walked to just about all the tourist spots from our hotel - but you will need comfy walking shoes.
