The Grand Hyatt was big but that's about all. The little coffee maker in the room with crummy coffee screams two star. My view of the parking garage left something to be desired.

"We're quite happy with the hotel, but you must have a vehicle to get to beaches, and attractions. Also we went in the hot tub inside the health club, and the chlorine nearly blinded me. May have just been shocked or it may always be like that not sure. We also thought the pricing of services, such as drinks exc, was a little over the top. $18 for a whisky with gingerale, and a margorita. Nice place, but not that nice."

Everything was as expected for a Hyatt. The only negative was the access due to construction and traffic. Missed the turn because it is so congested and had to go 2-4 miles to turn around.

Room quality. Armani's view. Construction. Took multiple trips around Tampa Airport to find this hotel exit, because of construction. Upon check into a hotel that was barely empty, was given the industrial view, the water view.

The staff was extremely nice and friendly, very accommodating. The pool area was a bit small. When I checked in, upgraded my room to a room with a gorgeous view of the bay. The room was very clean and the decor was nice. The entire floor was very clean and smelled wonderful! The housekeeping staff did an excellent job tending to our room. I stopped one housekeeper in the hall to ask for extra coffee and she was very friendly and even talked to my kids (3 and 4 years old). The pool area was very well kept and stocked with towels. There were waitresses taking drink and food orders the entire time. The pool was very clean as was the hot tub. We did not dine in the on-site restaurants nor use room service. We self parked my car and the parking garage felt safe and was clean and plenty of spaces to park. Every time we came and left the hotel we would receive several hellos, good morning from staff members. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay there again!

Rooms were fairly nice. Fee for internet; mini bar not stocked; location difficult due to construction. Not bad for a weekend getaway, but expect to pay big bucks for any extras - many of which are included at less expensive hotels. They think they are too grand and have to charge for internet, to stock the mini bar, and the rooms are nice, but not great. Overall, a nice hotel, but I hate when they charge extras for things that should be included at a nice hotel.

Beautiful grounds, building, and amenities. The location is well removed from the city. This upscale resort/hotel is typical of the excellent Hyatt facilities. However, its location, now more isolated by construction, tends to define the hotel as a resort rather than a hotel interactive with the opportunities of Tampa. A car is required for any tourist activities.

My brothers and sister and I made this trip to visit our father for his 75th birthday and only stayed at the hotel one night. [...], the bartender at one of the pools (a substantial walk from the hotel, but I'm not complaining, it was beautiful!) made excellent drinks and gave us top notch service - even delivering drinks to us poolside.Once we left the pool and began the trek back to the hotel, it began to rain. So, we stopped at another building (sorry - no clue what it was!) and the valets there called a hotel shuttle to pick us up. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. The only negative I have - and I'm sure it's not applicable ONLY to this hotel, but all of them - is the pricing for room service! Two burgers and two bottles of water cost us $57.00!I'd stay there again, but pass on the room service!

We were supposed to get breakfasts each day. 25 dollars was given instead, which did not cover breakfast at all. Food was not good. Disappointed to pay for bay view when the hotel was not full. Pool was small & inadequate & teeming with people.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt in April 2009. I met with other girlfriends for a weekend and we had a great time. The hotel is in a good location. We stayed on the club level which is the best .The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport which was great(didn't know the area). The customer service could not have been better. Sunday brunch at Oystercatchers was wonderful and well worth the money. We all agreed that we would stay here again.

This hotel is extremely close to the Tampa Airport, Clearwater Beach and Busch Gardens. Seaworld is only 1 1/2 hours away. Never had to fight for the pool. Quiet hotel. We stayed in the Casitas (small house) and the bathroom vent wasn't working (important for ....). We would wake up itching, not due to the mosquitos, but due to the microscopic bugs around the room! Probably wouldn't stay again due to this.

Being the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay you would think it would be a really nice hotel, but it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. The carpet was so dirty you had to wear shoes or socks because if you didn't your feet would be black. They made the beds with diry sheets and when I called to have them changed no one came to do it. When housekeeping came they never wipe off the tables or even just cleaned up. The only thing good about that hotel was room service. For what we paid for this trip it was not worth it. Also, when they knew we booked through travelocity they treated us like low class people. My husband cut his lip on a broked glass they put in the room and we told them about it and they did nothing. I hope this review will help others stay away from this hotel.

I liked the ocean view and the clean room. Carpet needed sprucing up; no vending machines on floors. I was able to get a waterfront view.

Loved the staff. Very helpful and kind. The hotel is beautiful and very close to everything! The only negative would be it took us about 20 minutes to figure out how to get to the hotel while we could see it, even with a GPS. Staff is very pleasing, decor in restaurants and lobby were nice but not so much in the room.

Location was very convenient. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. This hotel is locatedvery close to the Tampa airport. Our room had a view of it rather than the bay. We did not notice the noise from the aircraft taking off and landing but, enjoyed watching them.

The Grand Hyatt is coveniently close to Tampa International Airpot, but also within short driving distance of some of Florida's nicest beaches. The bayside rooms have excellent views of the water, although they require a small surcharge. The hotel's Oystercatcher Restaurant is also on the water at the end of an elevated boardwalk through a protected magrove wetland. The seafood is excellent as is the wine list, but come prepared to pay for the quality surroundings and cuisine. Overall the staff was cordial and cooperative. The hotel's concierge provides small maps that make it easy to get to sites in Tampa and St. Petersberg. We spent six days at the hotel and enjoyed a wonderful time.

The hot tub at the pool was actually hot. This is a destination location, not too much around it. This would be a great place to just spend a weekend relaxing, sleeping, swimming and reading.
