Basement room, was wonderful size and beautifully decorated but needed curtains as woken up at 5am when got light!

Room was OK, we had room N°1: no air conditionning and ground floor on the main street: pretty noisy with opened windows.But lot of space, Kitchnet OK, Bathroom ok; carpet, bedspread, .. are really old, need to be refreshed!

The Hotel, situated in a quiet street in Bloomsbury, is very closed to Holborn.Rooms are very large and staff is very friendly.

Breakfast was very ordinary with tinned rather than fresh fruit on offer. It was also expensive - over £15 for a continental breakfast is extortionate in my view!The room I had was on the ground floor, near reception, and was noisy during the night. The floor in the corridor was not carpeted which did not help, and I could hear the night staff's conversations. If staying again, I would request a room on an upper floor.

The room was large and clean but the bathroom needed replacing and there was some type of fan that made an awfull noise all night . It would have been cheaper to book the room direct . I have stayed in better rooms for less money with late rooms
