Great location. Probably the only other positive comments would be the great price, clean sheets and hot water. Otherwise a real dump which hasn't been properly cleaned in years and has no maintainence. Wouldn't stay here again at half the price.

arrived 10pm at night. no hot water until the morning. basic, bit worn around the edges, but a clean, cheap place to sleep while in london

Still my favourite low-budget hotel in London. I have stayed there on and off for over 20 years, and though everything is a bit threadbare I guarantee you wont find a better priced place so close to everything and with such a friendly atmosphere. Dont expect too much luxury, but there are many hotels in London that charge twice as much for the standards here. Recommended.

This place is a bit of a mixed bag. I choose the dirt cheap room and there is a reason for it. The mattresses are completely shot. If you can't sleep on a board, then you might want to get a higher priced room where the bed quality will be just sufficient so you can sleep. Other posters have mentionned that it is on the 4th floor and it is a climb, plus you might get the room without the remote control for the TV. The place is well heated so no issues being warm at night which has happened to me at some places. The breakfast included is basic. Toast, cereal, juice and coffee but it is a nice touch.

While the price would have been good, but given how run the facilities and the cleaniless level, then it was not worth what I paid. I had my own bathroom en suite, but it smelled and had mold. The sheets although they seemed clean were full of holes. I did not feel comfortable walking on the rugs without shoes and felt I needed to be careful when using the shower. At breakfast, the butter looked old and sugar seemed to have sat at exposed. I have stayed at other comparably priced hotels in London and they were cleaner, well-organized, and not rundown.
