This hotel was 2 minutes from South Kensington Tube, so really handy. Plenty of restaurants around it. The foyer is lovely, but rooms are a bit tired, nothing a bit of paint woudn't cure! Also, extremely hot - had to put a fan on at night (in early March!!). Dread to think what their electric bill is. Breakfast really good. Would stay here again.

The worst aspect was that the cooked breakfast was almost cold, even the tea and I was one of the first into breakfast room at 7 am! The decor was tired and pretty standard but I am not too bothered by that. However, the shower mixer tap did not work properly, so that my feet were scalded by hot water from the bath taps every time I used the shower - most unpleasant and painful. The staff didn't really seem that interested in guest issues. The room was tiny, by any standards, and I cannot honestly recommended this hotel as good value, even at the cheapest rate.

Room was small but comfortable enough for a single, decor was rather tired, for the location and price it was acceptable. Breakfast was not so good, the museli was hard and almost inedible, the scrambled eggs appeared to have been made many hours in advance.

For a hotel in the middle of London, this represented really good value for money. The breakfast wasn't bad at all with plenty of choice and set me up for the day. The room was starting to look a little shabby and worn but it was clean enough and everything worked. Unusual not having a restaurant for evening meals, but there was every type of restaurant imaginable right outside the front door so who cares. It was right by the tube station, and I travelled from London City Airport in only 45 minutes. For quality and convenience, I'd stay again.

We picked this hotel for its location, near the museums and Harods. Location was fine, the rooms are clean and security seemed okay. The staff is multilingual - unfortunately this did not always seem to include English. A few were very helpful, the front desk help was not. Only one person on duty, and refused to call a supevisor when we had a problem. The hotel serves breakfast - always the same. No other restaurant in the hotel, no pool or other entertainment except for a small exercise room.Very near the South Kensington tube station and easy access to busses. There are better hotels in the area for the same money, try to find one of them.

We payed nearly £300 pounds for 2 nights which was a saving of over £500. Completely ridiculous. If this hotel was not in London it would be charging £70 a night maximum. Laterooms are in serious danger of going out of business if they continue to allow such ludicrous statements on their website. The first night we were in room 410 which was very shabby. The shower didn't work. The sink was the size of a sheet of A4 paper. The beds were like slabs of concrete, the tv could not be viewed from the beds and there was only 1 small chair. No air con. Carpets ripped. The second night after complaining we were put in room No 1 which had all that one would expect from a £70 a night room but was still shabby. The breakfast was not up to standard. Coffee from a machine, cheap cardboard cornflakes, fruit juice of dubious origin. We didn't make it to the hot plate. Disgraceful and very very disappointing.

I booked at this hotel based on the good reviews and bargain price and I was not disappointed! I stayed in a double room and it was very large. Basic, but clean and comfortable. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful and the included breakfast was far better than expected with cereal, toast, pastries, cake and hot food. The location was also perfect for my stay, in the heart of South Kensington very close to the tube station. I would certainly stay again and would gladly recommend this hotel to others.

Room was in major need of a refurbish! Bathroom was very tatty - handle of toilet falling of wall etc. Room was freezing and radiator didn't work very well. Would take me 10 minutes to get the key to work in the door!! Take your own hairdryer - theirs was useless - would take me 40 minutes to dry my hair! Staff was very nice though.

Rght next door to South Kensington Tube station. A lovey hotel in a great location. I wasn't over the moon about the security at night though. Anyone could have strolled through the lobby and hopped into the lift. That was the only minus point about an otherwise wonderful experience. One other thing, the breakfast was excellent with a wonderful spread and a good choice for everyone.

The exterior of this hotel is very impressive. The staff were efficient, courteous and very helpful at all times. It was a pleasure to stay in. Our room was very clean and spacious, only let down was the bath panel looked a bit shoddy and in need of replacement which detracted from the rest of the furnishings. Bed was very comfortable and though the hotel was situated on a busy road, the noise was well subdued by double glazing. Breakfast was excellent. This is an excellent value for money hotel. Staff were also very accomodating by providing a secure luggage room for after checkout. I would definitely stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised by the overal impression as I was expecting low end budget for the price. Rooms and hall ways need some modernising but everything worked, was clean, and the staff were all pleasant too.

This hotel provided a convenient and pleasant resting place for a visit to a concert at the Albert Hall. The room was fine, the staff were friendly and the food was just what we needed. It does what it says on the tin.

Extremely convenient for attractions and tube and well priced. Second time at this hotel. This time the room was very smelly and at the side of hotel which made room dark. Preferred the rooms at the front but couldn't change. Staff not very friendly and on the whole very miserable. Shame because it's a nice hotel. Breakfast as before was cold - and no fried eggs!!!

Shower was dodgy (hot and cold repeatedly, diversion into shower from bath didn't work properly). No sausage and bacon due to 'technical difficulties' which I assume means no-one had fixed the grill.
