The town of St Augustine Beach is charming, the beach itself is splendid. As the Hampton Inn St. Augustine Beach is a nicely renovated vintage Florida beachfront building the rooms are not as large, nor the bathrooms as luxurious as the newer Hampton Inns. The building and grounds are well kept however, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The beds were quite comfortable and the breakfasts were wonderful- the fresh fruit and orange juice were out of this world!! The pool and hot tub area were well designed, well maintained and not too crowded. The clientele was varied, with young couples and singles, older people and familily groups all present. The ocean view from our balcony was particularly special- we were able to experience the sunrise each morning. The location made this a wonderful vacation for us.

Great new hotel close to airport. Jacksonville doesn't have many choices close to the airport, but anything beats the Clarion hotel on the airport lot!!!

I really enjoyed this hotel. I was only there for an overnight stay, and the room was beautiful. Very clean. The only thing I didn't like is that check out is at 11:00 a.m., and I needed a late check out of 1:00 p.m., and they would only give me until 12:30 p.m. I think with the hotel being near the airport, they should accomodate a late check out for people flying in the afternoon.

My wife and I love this hotel. Only a mile or two from the airport. It's about two years old, but looks brand new. Very friendly staff. They made great recommendations for dinner and daytime activities, as well as directions to St. Augustine (both direct and scenic). We needed to print something out and the computer in the hotel guest office wasn't letting us download an attachment so the desk attendant sent us to the Holiday Inn about a quarter mile down the road where we were able to print the document and we were able to use their guest office for as long as we wanted. The room was beautiful and well appointed. The bathroom was super clean and stylish to boot. There was an ad for the website where they sell several of items in the room(pillows, art, clock, etc.) and I can understand why people would want to buy them. The lobby where breakfast is served is bright and inviting, with ample seating, but cozy enough to settle down at night and watch the big flat-screen if you don't want to disturb the little ones sleeping in the room. Breakfast offered more than I expected and everything was fresh and clean. The pool and hottub were clean and well maintained. You can walk about 100 feet to a Long Horn Steakhouse, but the place across the street (I can't remember the name) that was recommended to us was excellent. There's a brand new shopping center five minutes down the road that has the big box stores and plenty of smaller stores to buy or eat whatever you are looking for. St. Augustine was about 45 easy minutes from here.
