Hazlitts is a 4 star boutique townhouse hotel and is the ideal base in the heart of Londons cosmopolitan Theatreland, with an intimate charm no large hotel can match. The hotel occupies three historic houses in Frith Street, Soho Square. The 23 bedrooms are perfectly proportioned and furnished with antique furniture. The beds are either four posters or half testers or they have a solid panel back. The bathrooms feature claw-footed free standing baths with marble washstands old fashioned pull-chain cisterns. At Hazlitts our philosophy is simple. We have set out to create the kind of accommodation that we ourselves would love to find in the heart of one of the Worlds great cities. Civilised surroundings, old fashioned hospitality, friendly, efficient service, a location away from the roar of traffic, but within a very short walk of the most important attractions.

If you are looking for the typical hotel room with the plastic shower and generic bed with the particle board furniture because that's what you're comfortable in, move along...there is nothing to see here. However, if you enjoy antique style, hip areas and are open to a wide variety of experiences, Hazlitt's is great. It is a boutique hotel in a building that was built in the early 18th century. It was extremely clean, and each room was unique and named, not numbered. The staff was incredibly attentive and polite. It was a neat experience, the beds are comfortable and we had an enormous beautiful carved headboard. The bureau was large and functional. The bathroom was large and had a large antique bathtub with the European shower head- so showering was an experience itself (not able to stand up and shower, so you have to improvise! I had fun). It is in the middle of Soho, and just about everything is within quick walking distance- we saw 2 shows in the West End and were able to walk to both without any problem, one was just right around the corner a block over! Shops, cafes and a decent night life are all in the area. My wife and I really really enjoyed our stay here, it was a great way to start off a long UK/European holiday!
