Not a thing. Everything. I stayed for 2 nights. There was no hot water at all. The room had no view. The room had a horrible (mildew) and I could not open the windows, because I was blasted with the roar of the air conditioning system. Hotel staff was rude and argumentative when confronted about the problems. I'm in the process of disputing the charges to my credit card, because service was not rendered.

We booked a twin room and confirmed this by e-mail before arrival. When we arrived at 1500 our room was not ready - not a problem as we needed to get lunch. When we got back we discovered that we had only a smallish double bed for two largish(?) adults (why we always try to get a twin bed room). We were made to feel that we were being very difficult and troublesome. We were promised that a twin room would be sought for us next day - heard absolutely nothing more and we had to make do. Only one chair in the room and that was broken. This might not have mattered if there had been a decent sized seating area elsewhere in the hotel - but only a bench seat in reception and two armchairs in dark room used for internet access.Key reception staff were extremely unfriendly and given what we paid per night (+/- 150 Euros) we were very disappointed. Cleaning staff very friendly.Hotel's best bit was its good location close to Plaza Mayor.Usually we can put up with most things if we get a smile and an apology - clearly not included as musts in whatever 'customer care' training on offer to the reception staff we encountered.

Really good hotel with very kind staff. The receptionists were very helpfull. Good and central location. Delicious breakfast buffet. Unfortunately the bed matresses were very hard so we didn't sleep very well - this is probably the only reason that we would choose another hotel next time.

This hotel is in the heart of the touristy area - near Plaza Mayor. Other than that, it doesn't have much going for it. The rooms had no extras-no iron or hair dryer. All the room have two twins pushed together - no seperate beds, no king/queen. And the bathroom door is made of glass, so if you're sitting on the toilet, a person in the room can look straight through to see you. The non-smoking room smelled of old smoke. Ultimately, the rooms have little to recommend them, but if you're not fussy and you don't plan on spending much time in the hotel, it's okay.

Our room was very small, but adequate for the 2 of us. We found it to be quite clean, comfortable bed, lots of hot water, excellent A/C, elevator, free internet, excellent location for seeing Madrid -- located between 2 main Metro stations, 1/2 block from the Opera, adequate restaurants, excellent breakfast - worth the extra charge of 8 euros. Desk clerk, Oscar, was very helpful with instructions of how to get to various locations. We extended our stay an extra 4 days!

We stayed here for 2 nights on the first part of our European honeymoon and had a great experience. Internet access from room, TV, safe with no deposit required, spacious bathroom. Shower door kept coming off tracks, but no big deal. GREAT European buffet in mornings. Better than othter hotels!
