Staff, location, comfort. Nothing. Wonderful location from nearly every standpoint. Good subway connection. Very quiet. Leaving in the am, you get to walk among the flower vendors and it was beautiful. We felt very safe at all hours. Highly recommended.

Good sized room and bathroom for NYC. Street are not the best at night. Very nice room, bed was great, adjustable firmness and view was even interesting. Very quiet, no traffic noise and not even a siren. Easy walk to subway, Herald Square, Penn Station and Madison Square Garden.

Very clean, comfortable, upscale rooms. Friendly staff. Did not enjoy the construction going on outside. Very little curb appeal, there seemed to always be trash on the sidewalk outside.

My friends and I stayed at this location because we went to NYC at the last minute and it was the only hotel in the $450/night price range. The location is terrible! During the day it is okay but at night nothing is opened around the hotel. My friends and I did not feel safe walking from the subway to the hotel. (The nearest subway is 6 blocks away) Regarding the rooms, they are nice due to everything being brand new. The staff was not helpful at all though. Especially when it came time to check out! It took over 45 minutes to get our luggage because they don't tag any of the luggage. So we had to describe our luggage, then they guessed and brought up about 20 pieces of luggage and then let us choose ours. I am glad nobody choose my luggage earlier that day! But I was particularly annoyed when it came time to get a cab. I asked for a cab, 30 minutes later an employee walks outside and just stands there waiting for a cab to pass by. When a cab finally passed by, he just lifted his hand, so of course the cab sped by us! So I grabbed the next taxi by myself. No thanks to the staff at this hotel, I was late for my flight. I will NEVER stay here again. There are way too many hotels with better location and service!

It was a bright spot in an otherwise unattractive neighborhood. One of two elevators were out making the wait to get up to and back from the 21st floor trying. The Hilton Garden Inn was a pleasant oasis amid the grit of 28th Street between 6th and 7th. Convenient to subways, with Starbucks and other amenities close-by. Clean and new, though a bit cheaply built. Just fine for two nights in the city on business.

Beautiful and great location. Shower only - no bath and the shower leaked on to the floor. We were very happy with the beautiful accommodations and excellent location.

The bed was amazing and location is perfect. Coffee wasn't great. Believe me, this hotel is different, well phenomenal. I'm talking about the Hilton Garden Inn in NYC. I was looking for a place that was centrally located for a weekend getaway with my wife. I found it. We decided to take the train in from JFK, easy enough. Mental note that if you were going to do the same thing, take the 1 train from E. We grabbed the 6 train, so we walked a few blocks, not too far though. Get off at the 28th Street Exit and about a block east. First this building is situated in the Flower District (my wife tells me that a design show came here from Bravo). It's a modern building, and you really don't expect it to be here. Throughout the hotel, lobby to rooms, it is clean. All of the staff were consistently friendly, and very efficient. So we got the key to our room, and made our way there. The room is amazingly large for NYC. There are two queen size beds, a small closet (furniture), desk, television, microwave and coffee maker. Really all of the things that you expect in a three star room. Ok, all of the things, that you expect in a three star room, could be underwhelming, but it is all the details in this room that make the difference. * bed. My wife and I both said we want to take this bed home. It is the most comfortable bed that we've ever slept. We are considering replacing the king size (fairly new) mattress at our house with this bed. Our bed at home is super comfortable, but we both agreed, this is better. We have never said that. The HGI bed is soft and supportive, reminds you of climbing into your parents bed. The down-like pillows and comforter are a pretty nice complement to round out the comfort. Makes it really hard to get out of bed.

It was clean and the bed was cozy. You couldn't adjust the temperature in the room. It was very cold. It was clean and nice. I only spent onenight but it was a great place to crash in NYC. I'do defiantly come back.

Friendly staff and the good location. The bothering sound from under construction buildings, dirtiness of 28th street. We really enjoyed or stay at Hilton Garden Inn. We got a great deal per night using Priceline. Hotel is located on W 28th st, which means Empire State Building, Macy's and Times Square are in walking distance. The staff was very friendly, especially at front desk. Free High Speed Internet and great room service is also admirable.

The manager on duty was not very happy to take care of my request for 2 beds (which was what I booked via Orbitz). Evidently when you don't book with Hilton, they don't treat you the same, even though I am an Hilton Honors Member, as well. After haggling with the manager for 10 minutes, I was able to get 2 beds, but the room would not be ready until 5pm. The manager also did not want to tell me about the parking garage that they have a deal with and he only did because I mentioned hearing another staff member mention it to another guest. They held 3 of my bags so that I could park the car. When the room was finally ready, I gave them my bag tickets, but they only brought 2 of the 3 bags. They then insisted that *I* was mistaken and that there was no other bag, I had taken it with me when I parked the car. So, I had to insist a few times what the bag looked like and what was in it before they admitted that they did indeed still have it and would bring it up. After the not very friendly check in process the stay was fine. The room was very clean, beds comfortable, hotel quiet. I would stay there again if the manager changes and/or learns to treat the customers (regardless of where they booked their stay) with more courtesy.

The hotel was newer. The neighborhood was old, though renovation was occurring. Newer, reasonable hotel in an old section of town which is rehabbing. Other structures being built but it will take years to make the area desirable. Hotel was fine not area.

Location was great! The lobby was not as inviting as I would have liked. Great location! If you're looking to stay in a centrally located New York hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn in Chelsea is the spot for you. Quick access to Greenwich Village and Time Square, you can walk to both in about 15 minutes!

Location, new-appearing building, great free breakfast buffet. Housekeeping had not made up room on one day when we arrived back at 4 pm. Location within walking distance of Penn station, flower mark, subways, shopping/friendly staff/terrific free breakfast/small but clean health club with towels & water, no pool, steam, sauna, Jacuzzi or spa.

The desk with the option to connect the laptop to power and the internet, the cleaning bathroom, the LCD, the big bad. It was my best hotel ever in NYC. The location of this hotel in the 28th street. Wonderful.
