The front desk was very helpful and kind. They put in a room next to the elevator and it was noisy. Good location, great price and friendly staff. The spa was not great, more like a lockeroom not a spa. Would stay again, however I would not use the spa.

Location. Poor maintenance. Stay at this hotel only if you are going to be gone all day. Front desk does not communicate with housekeeping. We extended our stay and they never told housekeeping. They kept knocking on the door and coming into the room unannounced! Elevators do not work well. Many times we would push the button for our floor and the elevator would not go there. Parking fee is excessive at $40.00 per night. Yes, $40.00. The only thing that I can say that is positive is the location of the hotel. Many lower cost restaurants and a drug store are located nearby and it is on the circulator bus route. Several blocks from the Metro though. Overall, I will not stay at this hotel again.

Concierge extremely helpful! Housekeepers talking outside room too loud, too early! Great location, felt safe, concierge helpful with all directions and such! Restaurant was too expensive. Hotel accommodated us. The hotel did not even charge us extra.

Great location, near white house, star bucks cross the street. Expensive valet. Easy walking distance to White House, Mall, monuments. Safe location, comfortable beds. I am a single woman who travels alone a lot, I arrived very late (2am) but the location seemed very safe. I got a great rate so that made up for the $35 parking. Would recommend it.

Location. No remote for the TV, no caffeinated coffee packet. There were four coffee packets in the room, 3 uncaffeinated and 1 caffeinated, which forced me to drink tea and give the coffee to my wife (I didn't have time before checkout to call for another packet) and finally there was no TV remote.

"Asked for and rec'd upgrade when checking in. Hotel is 2.5 blks to 2 Metro train stops, Old Town Trolly stops at front door. Slept like babies in ""to die for"" beds. Room spotless and very nicely decorated; staff/service professional. Would definitely return again and again."

Location to attractions. The location of this hotel is perfect for sightseeing or business in the Washington DC area. Has everything you will need. The rooms need to be refinished and the restaurants are very expensive even for dc. $35 parking fee not stated anywhere until you pull up to the front door, the door man saw I was a little peeved and proceeded to let me know I could park on the street for free for the weekend, parked right beside hotel.

I had the chance to attend a conference put on at the Hilton Capital during the weekend of Halloween 2008. The staff was alway very nice and helpful. The rooms are small for the price paid, but location, location I guess. Had the chance to eat one morning in the Twigs at the buffet. It was nice, good food but very expensive as hotel food can be. Went off site to eat all dinners and lunch was provided in conference. All in all the hotel was very nice.

The property was beautiful but rooms very small - the air was controlled by downstairs and we were very hot every night - they sent up a fan but we still had to keep windows open. The staff was excellent and very accomodating. I wouldn't stay there again and we always stay at Hiltons - Washington was a beautiful city and we would visit again!!!!

The room was big and very clean. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Location of the hotel is perfect; very close to several different Metro lines. All staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful. We didn't eat in the hotel, so I can't comment on the food. All in all, we had no complaints, and a wonderful stay.

Certain staff members at this hotel monitor what websites the guests are visiting in the privacy of their own rooms & they use blocking software to block any site they find morally objectionable. I find such an intrusion offensive and contrary to a persons right of free speech. With the outrageous rates they charge they should be glad to fill any rooms, and what a guest views online in private should be kept private.

Convenient location. Small rooms, expensive restaurant, nothing for kids. It's not 4 stars, but its convenient location makes this a good choice for DC tourists. The rooms are small, wear and tear is definitely showing, and cleanliness could be better, but the beds and pillows are comfortable and the accommodations adequate. Nothing offered for families. Spa is nice, but no kids allowed. Parking is expensive and so is the restaurant, but there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Very close to the white house. 2-3 blocks away. The Breakfast buffet was great. The Ice machines where not working, probably due to the extreme heat wave that week. Very nice hotel, clean, had most everything we needed. Close to the white house and the concierge was great. Ada Gardner was super at directing us where to go. The breakfast buffet was great, a little pricy but I guess that's just the area.

The room was very nice, excellent bedding. Staff was very accommodating. Parking was exorbitant; hallways were very loud at times. Very expensive parking and its restaurants were too expensive to make them attractive in a city of so many dining options. Staff was very accommodating. The door to the room seemed to be made of paper: when a neighbor opened their door the noise was so loud it was startling, even though nothing could be heard through the other walls. No mini-bar or fridge, and AC was sluggish, but toiletries, bedding, decor, cleanliness were good.

Excellent location and my room is good size in space. None. In general, it is a very comfort and very good hotel. The lounge area is good but it is not deluxe.

I was at a conference and did not spend much time in the room. The bathroom was very small, but the room itself was large, had a coffee maker, hairdryer, and a comfortable bed.

It was convenient. The customer service was very poor. The customer service was very poor. Concierge requests for a razor and iron took over an hour for response. Hotel staff was extremely noisy in the morning, practically partying in the hallway as guests were still sleeping at 7:30 a.m. The rooms were just very okay definitely not 4 star level.

Loved my room-spacious. Construction/Garbage Trucks started at 4:30 AM! Not given any lotion/shampoo This is a nice pleasant hotel in a great location.

Posh. Reserved. Yet, friendly. Aging. 2 Blocks from White House. Beautiful, comfortable room. However, as older hotels in big cities, it did have some age. The paint in my room had some peeling and the hallways needed some more detailing. Regardless, this is a beautiful hotel with the most comfortable bed I've ever been on, and great staff. I would definitely go again.

Nice Employees. Room was run down. Hard to rate it as great, but it was clean. Public areas on our floor were dirty. Room was dated but clean. Missing half of the closet door in entry. Nice Employees! Great Location.

Be aware. When I tried to use my hilton honor points they would not allow me. I could respect this, but get this my hilton honors would not allow me to go to the lounge. This was quite disburbing and to say the least I plan to escalate this to the VP of operations when I have a moment to write out a letter. I've stayed at this hotel many times over the years, and this was the first they would not take my hilton honors and apply points and they would allow me to the lounge. Boy makes you wonder from a customer service level what were they thinking.
