Great location and very attractive, and well kept rooms. I stayed here before, but this time the noise on that side of the building was so loud. I liked everything about this Hilton, but will be sure to not stay on that side of the building again, the street noise was too loud.

It was conveniently located and the rooms were a bit larger than I expected for NYC. Breakfast prices. Theprice was too much.

The hotel staff was friendly, although the concierge desk, while helpful, was not OVERLY helpful in offering opinions that might have helped us make better decisions. The restaurants served excellent food, but the breakfast buffet was (IMO) a bit pricey for what was offered. The room we stayed in was fairly small, but when we called the front desk for an issue with the television remote for my daughter, they immediately attended to us. We were VERY happy with that, even though we did not stay in the room much at all. It was wonderfully clean and fresh; no scents of any kind. It was one of the few places we could find in NYC for the 4th of July holiday sales that offered rooms for two guests with two beds in the room. The location, for our point of view, was fantastic. It was within walking distance of one end of Central Park, not far from the theater district ... we loved where it was.

The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. There was a charming restaurant located in the hotel. It was noisy. The furniture was old and dirty. The bathrooms were outdated. The noise level was horrible. I didn't get any rest!

The room was much larger than I expected for a hotel in NYC. It was modern, very clean and quiet. Of course the location is the best - not too close to the action but close enough. I would stay there again.

The hotel was in the best location, just a few blocks from Broadway, Times Square, and Central Park. This hotel could not accommodate in a timely manner the amount of people who requested to have their luggage held. The Hilton on the Avenue of Americas is a great hotel. It is in a fantastic location for a tourist attending a Broadway show, wanting to cruise Time Square, and walking Central Park. The rooms are very good size and the beds are incredibly comfortable. If this was the only hotel I ever stay in when I go to New York, it would be fine with me.

Our stay at the Hilton was very memorable. It's prime location made it easily accessible to Broadway and Times Square as well as Rockafeller Center and St. Patrick's Cathedral. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Our only complaints were that our room was right next to the elevators (which were never quiet) and that there was no vanity area outside the bathroom..

First trip to NY and very impressed with the accomodations. Deluxe rooms were pricey however newly renovated with modern furniture. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms modernly furnished as well. Check-in times were firm and front counter usually busy at that time (self check-in kiosks did not work). A room in the lobby area was available for luggage storage if you arrive early and sometimes required a fee per piece of luggage. Close to many attractions (Top of the Rock, Central Park, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall, Museum of Modern Art). Near numerous reasonably priced deli's that serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Comfortable (and safe) walking distance to Times Square, several broadway theaters, and subway stops. Hotel restuarant too pricey...many other options within walking distance!

Very spacious andclean rooms. The hotel staff at check-in was very rude, and valet parking was terrible. Overall, this was a very nice hotel: clean, spacious rooms, knowledgable staff, and in a great location. Two downsides were that it took over an hour to valet park the car and the check-in staff was extremely rude.

This property is in a good location. The furnishing are nice but the hotel is very dirty. We stayed at this property about 3 years ago when it had just been refurbished it was beautiful then. We were very disappointed in our stay this time. The hallways on the floors to the rooms had not been swept the entire time we were there. Wall paper was pealing off. In the room the bathroom was disgusting. There was dirt and hair and pealing wallpaper, on the door leaving the bathroom a beige door was black with dirt from it not be cleaned. You could see the dirty fingerprints on it! I will not stay here again. We go to NYC three times a year but we won't be staying at this property. Staff is friendly and beds are comfortable but we can't take the lack of cleanliness.

Spacious room, very clean. Came back when room was being cleaned & the housekeeper made asked us for our key & tried it in the door before allowing us to enter. This made me feel better that someone could not just walk in while the room was open. You will stand in a long line if you use the Starbucks @ the hotel. We usually just hit the streets and ate breakfast and had coffee along the way. Had to stand in lines in the hotel to ask questions. Wish they could have had more than one person at the concierge desk. Hotel is within walking distance to a lot of attractions. Get a map & decide where you want to go, then ask for directions! Great people outside to help you get a taxi and a wealth of information if you ask!!

Location was great, room was very nice. Designed a little more for business/conference travelers. Additional charges for bag storage and WiFi. The location is great for getting around downtown. The room was very nice. It was on the small side, but above average in comparison to other places I've stayed in Manhattan. All the pillows, linens, and bedding were very high quality. There was a good sized desk area, and a very small sitting area. There was a large flat panel TV, and an alarm clock that had an Mp3 player connection. The bathroom was on the smaller size, without a tub, but with a very large shower, and very nice fixtures. The common spaces, while nice, seemed a tailored more for business and conference travelers than for leisure guests. There were extra charges for many things, including baggage storage after checkout and WiFi access.

Would go back to this Hilton.Loved the location easy access to everything.Peacefull bedroom.Great view from the window.Resturants & room service are "Out of Sight".But found European cafe for breakfast or lunch, very affordable & good fresh food. Was there for my Gransons recital at Carnegie Hall,a memorable ,joyous occassion. The only dissapointment with the hotel was the prices in the Resturant & Coffee Shop, impossibly expensive.

The staff were extremely helpful and always with a smile! This hotel more than met my expectations. Everyone was helpful including the housekeeping staff. They were generous and courteous when I asked for more coffee packets in the hallway outside my room They went so far as to wish me a Happy St. Patricks day. The room was outstandingly clean and I felt you could almost eat off of the floor in the hotel lobby. My room was beautiful and spacious as far as NYC hotels go. I really loved the fact that there was an express elevator to my 28th floor room and it took only seconds to get there. There was a hussle and bussle in the lobby and I really felt that alot of important things were being accomplished there. When you step out of the hotel you are in the heart of midtown Manhatten and could walk to Central park, 5th Avenue and there was something to do in every direction. Overall great experience at this hotel.

Fabulously comfortable beds in stylish rooms. Constant selling of new part of property. Long waits for elevators due to trade shows. Great location right in the heart of things but unusually not a noisy location. Good restaurants. Fabulous rooms with really comfortable beds.

The Hilton New York hotel has a great location, in convenient walking distance to everything downtown: restaurants, shopping, Central Park, and museums. Check in and check out were a breeze, and the elevators have CNN TV, so even if you're on a floor near the top you're not bored during your ride. I would stay there again.

The bed was incredibly comfortable. There was a fee to use WiFi. Toilet didn't flush well. As a major chain, it is well kept up, clean, but lacks personality. The service was prompt and responsive but sterile. We would like to have checked in early but they wouldn't. And storing luggage while we waited for checkin had a per piece fee. The room was fine though. Good quality furniture, and great bed. Coffeemaker was barely adequate.

If you are a member of the Hilton rewards program they do not honor your status nor do you get points if you book with third party. This should be stated upfront so no one is disappointed at check in. We also had a much smaller room then I am used to there but that was the end of any disappointments. This is a great hotel and has been consistently so in the over twenty years I have been staying here. It is in a great location for sightseeing, business or broadway. And in NY location is everything. Always feel safe whether I am accompanied by my husband or a girlfriend. The rooms are consistent with that of hotels in big cities. They are not spacious but they are certainly adequate for whatever length of stay you are planning. The bathrooms are also typical of those in city properties but it was the cleanest bathroom I have been in for many years and up until recently I traveled every week for work. The walls were white tile in the shower with grout and there was not a touch of dirt or mold to be found for that I would score them great marks. The housekeeping staff is always so attentive and helpful, they are hard to beat. You cannot go wrong with a stay at the Hilton on the Avenue of the Americas. Whether you plan a trip for business or pleasure it will be a fabulous base of operations.
