We had a very fun time and the hotel staff was very friendly and they even assisted us in getting to a restaurant in the river walk and they seemed very knowledgeable.

I have seen mostly good reviews on this hotel, but a few that made me question whether or not to stay here. I am glad that I took my chances and went with this hotel. I have found that you will be treated the way that you treat the staff at the hotel. If you come in ready for a fight, then you will probably get one. It is not their fault if you had plane troubles, you got the wrong car at the rental company, or if the taxi driver was a jerk. Don't take it out on them. When you check in, be happy and pleasant, and the world is yours. They accidentally had set us up for a double room (we requested a king online) and they noticed it immediately. They gave us the king room, but upgraded us to a better view, without the cost. When we checked out and went to the airport, we found out that our flight was canceled due to snow at our destination. We went back to the hotel, but the same room was already taken. They gave us another room at the same price, and it was even better than the one before. It turned out that I had left my bathing suit in the bathroom upon checkout, and they were able to locate it for me and return it immediately. The maid service is better than any hotel I have seen. It is one of the better hotels on the river walk. I have stayed at several, but I will never go back now that I have stayed at this hotel.

Very clean, great location. Took a little long for us to get our car and day leaving. Overall, our stay was pleasant, quite and the hotel was in a great location. We enjoyed our stay. Therefore, made our trip even better, to be able to stay in a top hotel.

Nice lobby. Very small room. Boxy. I would only stay in this hotel if I was by myself. Bathroom was tiny. Pool was very small, so no fun for children. Only two room choices were King or 2 doubles. Parking was expensive and valet never gave us the full valet price, which was $35. I stayed in a Hilton in Hawaii and paid only $20 a day. Breakfast was very pricey wouldn't have minded if whole experience had been upscale. It wasn't.

I loved the room service pizza. Very delicious. Charging for internet, unsmooth elevator, no microwave, charge for parking. Very nice, very clean. I don't understand why a 4 star hotel can't even give you free wireless internet. I get free internet at cheap $35 a night motels. The hotel even charged to play old video games on the TV that had a game controller attached, not impressed with that. Other than that and the extremely over priced room service, I had a nice stay.

We absolutely loved this hotel. The rooms were clean with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. We just loved that every room had a balcony (we recommend to get a room with a river view). Great location. Only downside was the expensive parking, but I guess that is what you get when your downtown in any large city.

We were close to shopping restaurants and parks, which had live music. The rooms were comfortable. We would definately stay there again. DQ

My wife and I just spent 5 nights with our two teenage children at this hotel. We're very pleased to say the least. We never encountered an employee that didn't strive to please us. The valet, the front desk, the bell staff, the dining associates (including room service) were all wonderful. The property itself is very clean and attractive. Our room was nicely furnished and very comfortable. The furnished balcony was a nice touch. The beds are very good and you'll find complimentary coffee next to the in room coffee maker. There's also a mini-fridge for anything you need to keep cold. Even the towels were great. We felt very safe as well. They lock the doors down to keyed guest entry only in the late evening. The location is perfect. You're close enough to walk to most anything you'd like to do. The Alamo is two blocks away and an amazing assortment of dining/shopping options are just a short walk down the river. The Hard Rock Cafe and Joe's Crab Shack were two of our favorites. There is a bus stop and trolley station just at the corner of the hotel that will take you around downtown and even as far as Sea World. We didn't need to get our car out of the parking area to visit any local attraction. When you can stay at a place where even your teenagers can't find anything to complain about, you know you're at the right hotel. We would definitely recommend it and plan to return.

Every year, our dad comes to San Antonio to visit my brother and I for Christmas, and we stay in a cheap hotel. Well, this time he had more money, so we thought we were going to have the best Christmas ever. We got to the hotel, and it was beautiful. Right on the river, all decorated for the holidays. We ordered breakfast from room service, which was pretty good, and went outside on the porch to admire the view. Later, we went out so the maid could straighten up the room. We came back at around 4 o clock, and it wasnt clean. My dad told the people on the desk and they said they would take care of it. So we went out AGAIN. but when we came back, the room was the same. soo we told the front desk again. and they moved us down the hall. and gave us free breakfast for the rest of our stay. oookay...we ordered a video game and the tv shut down. so we had to wait an hour and a half for that. then the night before christmas eve, it was pouring down raining. my brother fell asleep, and my dad and I were watching TV. we could hear the rain loud and clear, so we looked in the hall and there was water running from the ceiling. so at midnight, the whole floor had to move 7 floors up. then we got a free christmas buffet. which was AWESOME. but i don't know if the free food can make us forget about the problems they gave us. I guess the hotel is just old.

I liked that the customer service we had no problems checking in or getting anything we requested the location was great. It was tough to get the temperature right in the rooms and I wish they had free parking. This hotel is great for travelers. It has great access to all of the places onthe Riverwalk and downtown areas. The hotel is huge so its always easy to find your way back to your room. The customer service is good. Hotel is great for a couple but snug for a family.

Clean, comfortable, convenient. Expensive parking, no free breakfast. Very nice hotel and great location. Just wish they would offer continental breakfast. Parking was very expensive at $22 per day or $35 is valet. But very nice, clean and comfortable.

Location was amazing. The hallways and rooms look sort of old for a 4-star. Excellent staff experience. As I mentioned above, the location is absolutely perfect. The riverwalk views from our hotel were supreme. There is a nice restaurant/bar open-air to the riverwalk downstairs that is the best people watching spot you can imagine. Only two flaws in my opinion to this place. The hallways and rooms seemed closer to 3-star than 4 (unless you count the view) because they look kind of old. Room service is slow. I would still go there again for the great price I got, though.

Clean. Very clean. Food was very expensive. $25/person for breakfast! The hotel was good. The employees were friendly and helpful. Dining was way to expensive, not worth the price, especially considering all the restaurants right next door it were not!
