General Description

This is a renovated Ottoman-style mansion, lying close to the Blue Mosque and Haghia Sophia in the historic district of Sultanahmet. Within walking distance of the Grand and Spice bazaars, Ancient Hippodrome, Underground Cisterns and Topkapi Palace, the modern face of the city and Taksim Square are just a short taxi ride away. This is a good hotel in an enviable location which prides itself on a personal level of service not available in larger properties. The exterior is a classical Ottoman wooden mansion. All rooms are well-equipped with private bathroom, hairdryer, satellite television, air conditioning , minibar and direct dial telephone. The rooms are small but clean and in reasonable condition. The bathrooms are fairly small but again are clean and functional. Each morning a rich buffet selection of various fresh fruit and vegetables, daily baked bread, Turkish meats and cheeses is offered in the restaurant. There is also a cafe and a small lobby bar. The hotel does not offer lunch or dinner but there are a wide selection of different restaurants within two minutes of the hotel. The lobby is small with a bar and internet corner. 1 km to the nearest station (sirkeci), 10 km to the nearest beach, 13 km to the nearest fair site (cnr), 13 kms to the nearest airport (ataturk), 20 minute walk to the nearest metro station (aksaray), 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop.
