Everyting was just fine: staff were nice and friendly, room was clean, location is perfect. Tours agent was there every day, so we could purchase all excursions at the hotel, which was very important to us.What was missing?I would say-shuttle to/from airport. That would be more comfortable for the gests.Overall, hotel is very good, we will recommend it to our friends.

Good location. No tubs in king bed room! This is a Holiday Inn and it really didn't break from that stereotype. The room was sufficient but didn't excel in any area. The bathroom was poorly designed so the door opened up and hit the toilet requiring finagling to get around to the shower. The first room we requested had a king size bed, nice and large, on the corner but none of the rooms with king beds were equipped with bathtubs! They only had showers so we had to switch to a much smaller, not nearly as nice, queen/queen room. Staff was friendly enough but really didn't have much occasion to interact with them. Having an outdoor pool only was a detriment, especially considering this is New England. Parking was very expensive and there were no discount options available nearby at all. I'm not sure I would stay here again.

Great location, within walking distance of lots of sites, friendly staff! Could use a cleaning under the beds, and view from our room was an alley/parking lot. Overall a great hotel for our trip. Bathrooms a bit small. The location was great - could walk to tourist spots, cafe on the corner. Parking was very expensive, but then again it always is in Boston. Hotel offered valet for only $4 more than parking garage rates, which was very prompt and professional. Staff was friendly and helpful - allowed for late check out so we could see some more sites before leaving Boston on our last day. All in all, recommend this hotel.

The hotel was in a great location and the staff there was very helpful and courteous. I didn't like being in a smoking room. The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the freedom trail, the north end and several shopping centers. Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Easy to check in, no hassles from the staff and everything worked out as expected. Had no hot water in the showers! was very miserable. The hotel was nice, pretty much your typical mid level hotel. The rooms were nice and clean, but nothing special. There was no hot water in the shower which was a huge down turn. The location was good, right around the center of town. Overall, this was an acceptable hotel.

We went to Boston as total 'tourists' and found this hotel and location simply by the internet and info provided there with ---- transit closeness --- tourist attractions etc etc. Worked out perfectly for all.

Very clean. Crisp sheets. Upscale but small bathroom. Dependable room service. Restaurant was really overpriced. We didn't eat there because pancakes were $9.50! This hotel was in the upscale part of Boston, yet was walking/subway distance to parks, river front, quaint cafe's, everything one needs. I looked forward to returning to it at the end of the day! Comfy beds with crisp linens, a bathroom that I felt comfortable in while barefoot, nice shower head, fluffy white towels. Right out the back door was Whole Foods, CVS, Ice cream shop, starbucks, and a Tavern eatery. Computer room to print out your boarding passes and travel plans. It would have been nice to have a more reasonably priced restaurant on the premises. We just could not see paying $9.50 for pancakes or $5.50 for a bowl of cereal. Room service charges would double the cost! Everything else exceeded my expectations.

First trip to Boston, July 09 ; loved it. Hotel walkable distance to/from all sights - for healthy individuals. The subways are short walks away also, but you shouldn't need them much. Hotel is nice, rooms are clean but a bit run down. Carpet could use steam clean. Staff friendly. Pool is bathwater warm. The hotel bar/restaurant is $$, a better option is the Italian restaurants across the street.

I caught up with a few friends in Boston. The hotel was very moderately priced. The location and staff are the best!! The hotel has recently been refurbished and is right across the street from Beacon Hill. You can walk almost anywhere and there are 4 different subway lines within 3-4 blocks. This hotel far exceeded my expectations.

Location was good. Dull, furniture chipped, cobwebs, and dirty carpets. Disappointed with standard of cleanliness of hotel. Rooms dull despite supposed recent renovation. Furniture was chipped, dirty corners, and cobwebs on ceiling. Bathroom small. Only glad we did not pay full rate. Even at Price line rate, was overpriced.

I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The parking was very expensive, the staff was not informed about the area or friendly. I felt that the hotel staff should have been more helpful. Their knowledge of the area was sparse. I had a broken glass in our bathroom. The parking was unaffordable and left me stressed to find another option for my car with no help from the staff.
