Friendly staff - nice location. did not getasked room. I asked for a king and they did not have it, got a twin double room. Also, parking coupon from hotel was not accepted, had to pay extra $20. No Wi-Fi. Hotel under construction not told to me. I was disappointed in room for not being a king and the money for parking!

The location was great! Very nice bathroom. Room was a little small. The hotel was small but great for a traveling couple. Great location, two blocks from times square. Room was nice and clean. Bathroom and room was a little small but sufficient.

Location. Very tiny lobby/breakfast area. Staff was great - very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was okay but lobby/breakfast area was too small for the amount of people eating. Very small rooms but linens were lovely and bed very comfortable. Bathrooms nicely updated.

Conveniently located. Room wastoo small and hotel lobby wastoo small. The hotel is conveniently located but the room is too small. The worst area is the lobby, so small and is also the place for breakfast. Not enough seats for everyone.

We received EXCELLENT service at this hotel. The staff was superb and catered to our every need as if we were celebrities. The room was clean and sufficient for four women and all their "stuff." The breakfast buffet was delicious, but a little crowded due to lack of space in the lobby. But, just the simple fact that a buffet was available with "real food" was wonderful and saved us lots of money. I would DEFINITELY stay again as this hotel was located perfectly for everything we wanted to do. Just a short walk to Times Square.

Great location, just two blocks from Time Square. Room was very clean and quiet. The front desk staff was extremely helpful, checking us in a little early so we didn't have to lug bags around town. Having complimentary breakfast was great. We could grab it quick and be on our way sightseeing. Will stay again.

The rooms are small, but they are stylish & functionally laid out. Hotel staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've ever seen in this class of hotel. Yeah for fresh fruit -- bananas & oranges -- every day. Large selection of carbs, too. Also, one or two attendees in the breakfast area make sure that the buffet is constantly restocked & the area kept clean.

Great location and clean modern rooms. Room was just a little cramped with king bed. I loved this hotel. The location was just what I wanted, close to the Theater District and within walking distance of Times Square. The rooms were all new and modern. The only minor issue was that the room was a little cramped with the King size bed, but you don't go to New York to stay in the room. I will definitely stay here again.

WOW! The Location was AMAZING!!! Just a block from 5th avenue and 2 blocks from Times Square. The staff was INCREDIBLE! The only thing semi bad that happened was the day that I had to check out I scheduled a wake up call for 9am that for some reason I never got, BUT, even when I woke up at 11:40 (when check out is supposed to be 11am) I called the front desk and they were very apologetic and told me to take my time getting out and that there would be no charge for anything regarding us checking out late. This is the perfect hotel for anyone who likes to get out on the town in NYC (I mean, come on, your never in your room anyway.). The room was always immaculately clean, service amazing, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick and comfortable get away to the city.

Holiday Inn Express NEW YORK CITY FIFTH AVENUE, New York, New York The location couldn't have been much better and the staff were extremely helpful. They were proficient at giving directions and were very good at estimating the amount of time needed to get to shows and restaurants. Although the room was small with very little closet space, everything was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast foods were fresh and the always available coffee was a treat when we came in from the cold late at night. When you're located between Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue....what's not to like! It was great and the staff were the best!

I booked the Holiday Inn Express after reading the reviews, and was expecting a very small room. The room exceeded my expectations. It was small, but not tiny. This hotel is about a 6 minute walk to times square. There are not a lot of rooms so it is pretty quiet and you don't see a lot of other people. The room was clean, bed comfortable, we did not hear the people on the side of us, and enough room for two people. There was a desk in the room and a chair on one side of the bed. Make sure to request a room away from the elevator. For the money, this was a great hotel and in a great location. Plus you get a continental breakfast which in NYC is not cheap.

"This hotel has the most convenient location in the city. The rooms are small, but who cares? We were only in the room to sleep and shower, then we were out on the town every day. The continental breakfast, which was included ""free"" with the room, was as good as any of the $25 Continentals available at the upscale hotels. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to be close to everything."

I picked this hotel solely from the reviews on this site and I have to say that I was not dissappointed! As a first timer to NY, I was concerned with the location and safety of the hotel. Both were excellent. The hotel is only 5 or 6 blocks from Times Square, yet it was silent at night. And I mean silent! The beds were exceptionally comfortable for hotel beds. It was fresh and clean and decorated really cute. Size wise, the rooms are smaller than a normal holiday inn, but for the price, it was perfect. The staff, especially Skylar, was very friendly, helpful and courteous. I was really happy with my hotel stay. Also, the breakfasts were really good, with eggs bacon sausage, the whole bit! It's a clean, simple and friendly place to stay in the city and so convenient to times square, 5th avenue shopping (its right off fifth ave!) and broadway plays. We had a great time.

We booked this room through Orbitz and got an incredible deal for a three night stay, with an average rate of just $130, with all taxes included. The location of the hotel is W45th St., between 5th and 6th Avenues, a location that is very convenient to museums, shopping, and theater, and there are infinite dining choices nearby. The hotel is clean and friendly, with a nice staff who seemed to be happy to be working there. Every morning a large continental breakfast is served from 6-10 AM: choices include juices, pastries, muffins, bagels, and eggs (scrambled, omelets) and both bacon and sausage. Fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal are also available. There is hot water for tea, instant oatmeal and hot chocolate and hot coffee in the lobby all day and evening, as well as a soda vending machine. The lobby is very small and a little cramped in the AM as people are having breakfast, but this is a minor inconvenience. The hotel is tall and narrow, so that there are only 6 guest rooms on each floor, which cuts down on room-to-room noise. Guest rooms are average size for NYC, which is to say they are small, but this room was quite clean and comfortable, with a decent size bathroom. There was a clock radio, flat screen TV (with on-demand movies available), and a coffee maker in the room. Oh, and free wireless! All in all, an unbelievable deal.

We felt that the personnel at the hotel were very helpful throughtout our stay and did their best to accomadate any requests that we may have had. The location was great, within walking distance of Times Square, 5th Ave, Ave. of Champions, and much more, also very convenient to the Metro. We felt very safe walking to and from this hotel. The bathroom was a little small, and the room could have benefited from more light. The contential breakfast was good with convenient hours.

Location. Breakfast. The rooms were not much bigger than a closet. This was a nice small hotel with a great location walking distance to Grand Central, Rockefeller Center, Times Square, Broadway, and more. They offer a free, excellent hot breakfast along with other continental items. The only down side is the size of the room. It was nice, but I wouldn't rate this hotel higher than a one star.

The friendship and helpfullness of the hotel staff and the continental breakfast, very nice. The heater noise, it wakes you up every time it turns on or off. It is a very well located in downtown NYC, only two blocks from the Times Square and almost on the corner of 5th Av. Very clean and quite comfortable, the heater is a bit noisy, but if the temp is above 20°F it can be off. Breakfast is noticeably good with good variety; the breakfast place could be a bit more protected from door-opened cold wind

Though the room was small, it was clean, and well kept. Immaculate bathroom. There was work being done in the lobby as we checked in - must be part of renovations. Not very welcoming. Very good location but not near any restaurants open after 9 p.m. Guests who attend theater or evening events and want a nightcap or late night snack should be prepared to find those amenities elsewhere. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

Clean, simply but nicely decorated, great location. The view out of the window was the back of an office building. The room was small but simply and tastefully decorated and the linens were of good quality. I really appreciated that the rod for the shower curtain was bowed out, so no wet shower liner sticking to me. I also liked that there was no quilted bedspread that had not been washed in who knows how long. In its place was a clean white sheet laying over the duvet. The only draw backs were the slow elevator and the view of an office building. The location is wonderful.

The hotel was clean and in a good area. The rooms were so small. You had to walk into the bathroom before you could even close the door to the room. The hotel was clean, the workers were generally friendly and helpful (several were on the phone every time were were in the lobby), and the area was with walking distance of Time Square. We were extremely disappointed in the room size. We realize that square footage is minimal in New York but we had no place to even put our luggage. We ended up putting them on the floor and stepping over them to get anywhere. The room was so small that you had to enter the bathroom to even get the door closed behind you. I do have to say the it was clean and we never felt worried about the area we were walking in around the hotel. The king size, non-smoking room we had would not work for more then two people.

Location was good, convenient to shopping, parking, & other attractions. Breakfast was good too. Rooms were tiny. The rooms were clean. It had a coffee pot, ironing board & hair dryer and a newer, upscale flat screen TV with all kinds of channels. This was all into a very small room. Would recommend 2 people at the most in a room that size. The breakfast was decent and saved us some money.

Convenient to the theater district and shopping. Tiny lobby and dining area. We arrived at the hotel and were checked in efficiently by the friendly staff. The room was clean but small. Since we were going to a show and only spending the one night, it more than fit our need.

Everything was very clean. The staff was very helpful giving directions for our daily adventures. They always new the easiest route to where we wanted to go. Almost everything was in walking distance including lots of great restaurants. The breakfast was plentiful and always hot and fresh. We will be back and i would recommend it to everyone.

Staff was amazing. Breakfast was delicious. Room was spotless. The computer/internet access offered was extremely slow. I loved my stay at this hotel. The staff was excellent and more attentive than I thought they would be. The breakfast was always hot and freash, the cinnamon rolls are to die for! Our room (one king bed) was kind of small but we didn't need any extra space. This hotel is very new and very, very nice.

Almost nothing to dislike! That breakfast table right next to the front door: drafts! Good location, reasonable comfort and amenities. No exercise room, but continental breakfast and free local calls don't hurt.

Great location, with a full range of premium cable television channels for free. Very small rooms. It's a new hotel, with an ideal location. It's within walking distance to all the major attractions of Times Square, Central Park, and East side businesses.

Superb location and most professionally friendly staff. Small rooms, albeit well designed. Limited storage space. Superb location off Fifth Avenue, Midtown. Quiet as rooms are well insulated. Tiny rooms though, with limited storage space, albeit very functional. As an additional plus, full-fledged breakfast is offered in the (small) lobby. Staff is most professionally friendly and eager to assist.

We had a room with 2 double beds. It was tight for the 4 of us, but since we spent very little time in the room, it was adequate. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was good too. Short walking distance from Broadway and Times Square. They also kept our bags for the entire 2nd day allowing us to sight see without hauling suitcases around the city. We'll be back.

It had a great location! It was very clean and comfy! It was a little small, but it was not a bother! The hotel was great! We had a wonderful stay! It was clean and comfy! It had a great location! We would stay here again in a heart beat! One minor thing is that it is a tad small. But we were there to enjoy NYC, not hang out in our hotel room.

Neat and clean, offered computers with internet, but not enough of them. The walking area was tight along with the seating. The lobby door was often open which made it cold. The staff was friendly, accommodating and very helpful. The rooms were clean and neat. A little more walking space would have been nice. The lobby had tables, no couch and the door was often opened letting in cold air. The rooms were updated.

Spacious and clean. Breakfast wasn't too healthy. I usually stay at a more upscale hotel in NYC, but I will stay at the Hilton Express from now on. Better service, better location, better room, and more affordable.

"I loved the hotel, the rooms are small, but they are updated, clean, and the beds and pillows are so comfortable specially after walking around town all day. The breakfast is simple but enough to fill you up and get you going! The personnel is very nice, and helpful. No complaints, next time I go back I'm going to the Holiday Inn Express. "

Convenient midtown location just off 5th Ave. No nearby parking. Very small room. The sink was clogged. The midtown location was great for our one night stay, but the rooms are all very small. Just enough room for a bed, smallish desk, chair and combo TV/wardrobe unit. No closet, just a small wardrobe so if you are staying longer or have many clothes or coats, you may want a bigger place. Also, our bath sink was clogged and we had to switch rooms, after asking twice. Besides no response to our first request, the staff was great. I recommend this if you're doing a quick stay and want to check in & out quickly, thus express. The lobby is small too, which makes it easier to get to the elevators. Parking is a block away on 46th St., a bit of a hassle.

Location was great. Price, room size, room space for breakfast way too crowded, parking facilities on a different street. Small rooms, noise by cleaning personnel, windows on back of building, parking facilities on another street location an associated with Hotel and also price of parking is too high.
