Even though it was non-smoking room, it smelled! Cigarette melted alarm clock, non-functioning telephone, floor not clean, coffee not refilled, unfriendly front desk, etc. Never stay in Holiday Inn ever again. I'll pay more for a better place next time.

My over night stay was excellent with a superb breakfast served the next morning. The only thing I regretted was not having a bellhop to help with the luggage. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. The airport shuttle was also an added attraction and a great benefit. Everyone was courteous and friendly.

We were a group of 15, renting eight rooms. Everyone agreed our rooms were spotlessly clean. The front desk was very courteous and helpful in arranging a bus for us to tour New York city on Sunday. The buffet breakfast was a pleasant surprise. We would definitely stay here again.

I thought it was a good value. Clean and comfortable rooms. Pleasant staff. There's no fitness center on the premises though. The breakfast is nicer than most. It seems obvious that they need to move the toaster and bagels across the room to prevent everyone from getting into each other's way which they constantly do.

Holiday Inn Express KENNEDY AIRPORT definitely is not worthy. We arrived to find no parking space available. We were told by staff to double park in the lot and that should another guest need to move their car in the middle of the night, they would wake us to move our car. The room was filthy, with stained bedding, a terrible smell, and a glorified window a/c which only cooled a one-foot space in front of it. Granted, this hotel is an express airport hotel, but I at least expected a few hours of uninterrupted sleep in a clean and cool room!

Staff was friendly and rooms refurbished. Heater + AC. Either too hot or too cold. Need a thermostat. Also difficult to find. Offer a pick up to ladies in the evening as a supplement. Friendly professional staff. Clean. Breakfast included if required. Seemed family friendly. Only challenge is heating system and finding it.

Close proximity to JFK airport. Room was extremely small and we reserved a room with 2 beds, but received a room with one bed and a pull out sofa bed. Great proximity to JFK airport. Our room was extremely small, and we reserved a room with two beds, but received one Queen size bed and one pull out sofa bed, so it wasn't the most comfortable.

The hotel itself was comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful, but there is nothing in the neighborhood and the shuttle only leaves the hotel once an hour. Very inconvenient. Shuttle to the hotel was fully adequate, either already at airport or arrived within 10 minutes.

Our bed was extremely comfortable- perfect for resting during an overnight layover. Most of the front desk people were very pleasant, and the hotel's airport shuttle was easy to use. The only problem with the hotel was morning traffic through the breakfast area, which had long tables that were right in the thoroughfare from the elevator to the front door. Not very cozy. Other than that, we were very happy.

Convenience to JFK. Room lighting was low. The room was crowded. The continental breakfast was served early for travelers who needed to get to the airport before normal serving time. It was conveniently located near JFK and shuttle service was very good and fast.

Close to JFK airport. Rooms were very clean and hotel seemed to be recently remodeled. Very little parking. No park and fly option at hotel. Room was small. Staff was friendly and courteous and room was clean, but small. Received a room on the first floor which was actually partially underground, but had a window near the ceiling (at ground level of hotel). Hotel does not offer park and ride, but does have a shuttle if you don't plan to drive to the hotel. There is a paid parking lot immediately next door to hotel, but it is more expensive than parking in the long-term parking at JFK. I'd recommend parking in the long-term parking since its less expensive and seems more professionally run. If you are traveling to this hotel from New Jersey or Pennsylvania there are about $18 in bridge tolls each way to simply reach the hotel. Factor this into your overall cost calculations.

Very clean and neat. Nothing. This was a very clean, neat, and friendly hotel. Our stay was very pleasant and we will stay again. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. The price was excellent and the location was not bad. We used the subway to visit Manhattan, which was not difficult at all. The free breakfast was excellent and good.

Close to airport. No bell staff to assist with luggage. A place to sleep for an early morning or late arriving flight; nothing more. Close to airport; 2 shuttles/hour to airport. Very much a do it yourself place; ok if carry on luggage only; difficult if traveling with baggage.

Helpful staff who went out of their way to help us get around and made sure we didn't get rip off by a taxi driver, clean. Nothing except waiting for the shuttle to pick us up but no big deal. I would definitely stay here again. Our room was small but it was neat and clean, place looks new, lobby looks great and the staff were very helpful. Everyone we encountered were very helpful.

Good place to layover by JFK. Shuttle only runs on hour to airport. We used the hotel as a layover stop on the way to and back from Italy. It was convenient to the airport and the train station into the city. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Had a great breakfast, internet and shuttle to and from airport, could not have been better.

"I chose this hotel because it was close to JFK and didn't have the really bad ratings of other alternatives. I was very happy with my choice. The airport shuttle service worked great. The room was quite, clean and reasonably sized. The staff was helpful and friendly. Service at the front desk was efficient. I appreciated the free PC's with Internet access for guest use. There is easy auto access. The free breakfast was appreciated but not great."

The rooms were imaculate the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this to my collegues and freinds, it was very convenient only minutes from the airport and has a shuttle bus direct from the airport with no waiting. Most importantly I felt safe, being a single female this is especially important.

I was on a stop over on my way to Greece and choose this Hotel for a one night stay over. I was so surprised by the complete service and friendly helpful staff, I had to write this review. I complimented the Manager and staff on the wonderful Job they were doing. The rooms truly were renovated. The bathroom had marble floor, new tub, sink and faucets. The TV was a flat screen about 24? or so in size. The room had a new heater - airconditioner unit with a nice quite fan. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The whole establishment was clean and well kept. Shuttle service to the Airport was prompt. The only negative was the Shuttle drivers I encountered could have been a bit more friendly. It was simply the best and friendliest staff that I have ever interacted with. The pillows were extra soft and there were sounds outside all night. This hotel was excellent for an 18 hour layover. It would be difficult to find a better staff. And they have an excellent early morning breakfast.

Breakfast was nice. Close to airport. Shuttle service good. Very dangerous neighborhood. Not enough places to eat nearby. Young, somewhat condescending girls at counter. Quick and mostly friendly shuttle service. Two young girls at counter didn't seem to like their job. Nice enough to us, but condescending to other guests when they didn't speak English. Clean room. Good smell. Nice breakfast. Nice little lobby. Late checkout was okay. Close to airport. Dangerous neighborhood. Wish the area was safer to walk in and there was a nice place to walk to so we could get a nice meal.

I had requested a non-smoking room, but when I got there they placed me in a smoking room with a stench that led me to believe a person visits the room each morning to smoke a carton to make sure the room lives up to its name. I requested to be moved to a non-smoking room but they had none available. I attempted to air out the room by having the window open, but with the hotel located right next to the freeway this isn't a perfect solution.

The staff were very helpful, kind and patient. The hotel was clean. Although they provided a breakfast, they didn't have a restaurant on site. There was a Chinese restaurant near and food could be ordered in. The desk clerk was very kind and helpful. I also observed the desk clerk instructing foreign guests with poor English skills in a patient and courteous way. This hotel is clean, near the airport and was a convenient stay as we had an early flight. The hotel also provides a free airport shuttle service.

I had to spend one night in New York before meeting up with my group for a trip overseas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a list of restaurants (with menus) for me to call and have dinner delivered to the hotel. The drivers of the shuttles both ways were also very helpful with my luggage. It was 16 degrees the day I got there and the shuttle driver told me to go inside and he brought in all my bags and got them on a cart for me. The room was a little small but worked for me since I was alone.

Great breakfast buffet and restaurant recommendations. Rooms overlooked the highway. We enjoyed the extensive breakfast buffet. The desk staff recommended an Indian restaurant that delivered a wonderful meal. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful.

Cherish at the front desk was friendly and helpful. The room had a bit of a smell to it. Overall good stay. Cherish was at the front desk when we checked in on Sunday night and there when we checked out on Monday. She was very kind and helpful as we had many questions.

The price was affordable; shuttle service is free. Nothing about the hotel itself. The hotel is a perfectly fine place to sleep at an affordable price. If you sleep late though, you miss the free breakfast! The shuttle service is great, but I hadn't realized what a long, drawn-out process it would be to get the shuttle, to the train, to the subway, to get into the city.

Customer service was awesome. No swimming pool or gym. The morning clerks were the most helpful peopleI have ever encountered. They provided me with a map and explained how to use the subway and the cheapest taxis to call. The air conditioning in the room is ran by the hotel andyou can not adjust the temperature.

Clean rooms, very nice and helpful guy that drove the shuttle, also very convenient. Took forever to get warm, poor heating and air unit. Overall good experience and close to airport. The shuttle was quick and easy and the staff was helpful, they even gave us take out menus for local restaurants which was nice for such a cold night.

I had to stay here to pick someone up at JFK. The Shuttle to the airport was great at dropping us off and picking us up. The pool was nice too after a long drive to NYC. The next morning the head waiter at the buffet was very friendly and helpful to us.
