"A very nice hotel! The price through Travel website was about 50% of rack rate. Room was tasteful and everything in working order; hotel is kept very nicely; staff very helpful at all levels, though cleaning staff doesn't speak English; location is a 10-minute walk from a major tube station."

Actually the location was initially confusing. Is it in King's Cross and why do some end up at the hotel close to the Covent Graden and not the one that is round the corner from the station? Be precise!If it is 4 star, what, for the one night stayer, makes it thus? It is not just the building and the effusively helpful reception (who got the timetable I asked for wrong!) but something more that is IN THE PACKAGE! Everything on top of the room and the free tea and coffee (available in b and b's!) seemed to be priced so where are the benefits really?

Nothing! Location was horrible! Expensive to eat there! Uncomfortable beds! Do not stay here! Location is far from any public transportation and the cabs the hotel calls for you are double the price of Black Cabs. To get to a bus, you have to walk about 1 mile up a steep hill or go the other way through a very sketchy area. The beds were very uncomfortable and the sheets were itchy. Also, the TV did not work. This is no four star hotel!

While the hotel room was large and very clean, I was dissapointed with it in several ways. The heater/AC system was soo noisy that I had to shut it off to sleep. The location is not very good for Tube access or even busses(for those that like the adventure of a London bus.). The service I was least happy with was internet access. I asked at the front desk what it was going to cost for internet and the charge was 6 pounds for 15 minutes and 12.5 pounds per hour. That is outrageously high even if the exchange rate were better. Then to top it off when I did try to log in, the service said I needed Internet Exporer V7 which is what I was using.

Clean with good help at the desk. Quite a walk from the Underground station. 3-4 blocks. Not a lot of local eateries.

This hotel is in Central London just minutes away from Train Station and walk to local Bus Stops. Not to mention very clean front desk very helpfull. I'm not a fan of Indian food but if anyone is they have a very large one. They also have a Spa Center great Gym and for those planning a conference great location it holds about 300 people.

Delighted that we were able to check in at 11 am as it meant that we didn't need to spend 3 hours toting our luggage.I felt that on the Saturday night hotel staff could have done more to discourage a group of youths from playing on the revolving doors-sometimes trapping residents inside them although admittedly these were resident's children and their parents ought to have taken responsibility for them

warm welcome, serving staff, great food and a relaxing nite bar. had a problem with heat-resolved in 15 min. room service just great. really consider this one for in-town visit. Many eateries near by for local feel--pubs.

Pretty dreadful hotel, the very worst I have stayed at in this price bracket. On arrival, by car with luggage and two small children, we were ignored. We had to wait for some time and eventually made ourselves known to the staff, to whom we were apparently invisible. We asked for our bags to be delivered to our room but there was a mix up and we received the wrong luggage. There was only one pillow provided for each person in the room so I rang housekeeping for more. There was no reply so I left my message on a voicemail. 15 minutes later, with my 6 year old wanting to go to bed, I rang reception to ask for help to be told that Housekeeping were the only people who could help and, despite explaining that I'd already left a message there, I was immediately propelled through to Housekeeping and the eventual voicemail. After another wait and anothger call I was finally sent up some extra pillows and we went to sleep. At 4.18am the phone rang, woke us all up and went dead. At 4.21am the phone rang again with an automated alarm call message. Needless to say, such a call had not been requested. It then took us some time to get back to sleep on a grotty, saggy and uncomfortably soft mattress. When I tried to discuss this with the duty manager the following morning I was told i would have to wait to see her. I waited and waited until, tired and anxious not to waste any more of my family's weekend in London, I accepted a small discount to the room bill from the receptionist behind the desk. An awful and exhausting experience and one not to be repeated.

The underground station is about 15 mins walk. Getting a shuttle from airport is difficult and expensive. It's located right between a nice and not-so-nice neighborhood. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are small but nice.

Nice But...We stayed at the hotel as we got some cheap last minute train tickets for weekend in London and basically needed a room that wasn't overly priced. The hotel was everything we wanted, it was clean, quiet, comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Only downside was it was a good walk from the tube station. If your planning on using the tube it's nowhere near Kings Cross tube stop. If you don't want everything on the door step and don't mind a bit of a walk to the tube and you get the hotel at a discounted price then it's worth staying at.

Staff for check in was friendly and let me have an early check in I felt ripped off by their phone charges - I used a credit card as per instructions on a card and was charged again $3 per call (incl. incomplete) Location was a $20 cab ride away from where the web site claimed it was. The hotel manager was unfriendly and they mislead with advertising for a phone service using my own credit card.

The concierge was helpful. The mattresses and pillows were unacceptable. My complete dissatisfaction with this hotel. This is a 2 and a half, maybe on a day the staff is friendly, a 3 star hotel. It is not a 4 star hotel. I was immediately concerned when this booking appeared that a Holiday Inn could be a 4 star hotel and unfortunately I was right.
