The hotel location is great. The 1st Class bus stop is around the corner from the hotel in a very nice area. It is close to the downtown tourist attractions. The services, food and the facility were very good.

Across the street is an indoor shopping mall, with ATM machines you can use with safety. At the corner is a convenience store for junk food. Left out front door is a travel agency to book tours. Walk 6 blocks on Paseo Montejo to the anthropological museum. Take a taxi to Plaza Principal. Tropical climate. Keep an emergency rain poncho. Be generous tipping servants. The hotel has a dull, soft, thud noise about every 30 seconds, which might disturb light sleepers. I was charged an extra 600 pesos at checkout (because of weekend rates).
