The newly renovated Holiday Inn Miami Beach - Oceanfront is located directly on the beach, with access to the famous two-mile long boardwalk, and approximately 11 miles from Miami International Airport. This 1050's Miami Modern Style hotel faces the beautiful Atlantic Ocean and tropical sandy beach. Walk along the Beach Boardwalk into the South Beach/Art Deco area for shopping, dining or nightlife. This location is also two miles from the chic Lincoln Road Mall and South Beach, four miles from the Port of Miami and American Airlines Arena, five miles from Bal Harbour and downtown Miami, seven miles from Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, 14 miles from Dolphin Stadium, 15 miles from Seaquarium and Aventura Mall, and 20 miles from Fort Lauderdale. Overall, this was a nice hotel. the rooms are small, but the beds are very comfortable, and the updated vanity outside the bathroom was nice. Room was clean. They need to vacuum or update the hallway carpets! The grounds are well kept and beautiful and it was great to just walk out to the beach. The hot tub was clean and big, but it is shared with the hotel next door, however it never seemed that crowded. Parking is 18 a day which seemed steep, but that how it was everywhere with limited parking . Breakfast was good, but they were very short staff, so it was slow, but the staff were nice. It is easier to walk the stairs if you are able as the elevators are slow and one didn't work. The boardwalk is great to just walk down and enjoy the views.

Check in/front desk helpful and quick. Hair in the bathroom sink on arrival, valet removed watch from car. The bathroom had some leftover hair and the valet took a watch from the car, but besides that the location was great and it met expectations.

I stayed here before, before the upgrade. The service across the board was better - maybe because they were in transition. The room was reasonably comfortable, just very tight - ie lacking real leg room and the room service was lousy.

Beautiful location, beautiful beach, nice pool, nice room. Hammocks in trees a nice touch. Great value for room and location. However, did not seem to be in walking distance to restaurants and stores, so had to eat in their dining room. Would have liked a choice of restaurants. No free shuttle to anywhere, including from airport. Super Shuttle was available.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn. The concierge service was very helpful and the hotel was right near a bus line, so per person we could hop the bus and go into Miami and to South Beach. The hotel is right on the beach, so the boys loved every minute of that--pool was good too. The only complaint I have was that the room smelled a bit moldy. Don't know if that comes with the A/C or what, but it was bearable. The boys' room didn't smell at all. I would definitely stay here again.

The Newport Beachside hotel was a very good value,and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I was there in Jan 25-30, 2009. The room was clean and updated. The stay was enjoyable and comfortable.

My fiance and I spent a long weekend in Miami at this hotel in April. We were very pleased with our stay. The staff is so friendly and very accomodating - and very willing to recommend places to see and go. There is a lovely lawn, palm trees with hammocks, and pool behind the hotel, and the beach is just beyond the boardwalk. There's not much to do or see - other than the beach - in the immediate vicinity, but South Beach and Lincoln Road are a short and easy bus ride away. Overall, our experience was wonderful at this hotel.

Stayed at the Oceafront hotel for the Winter Music Conference this year, and was very pleased. It was close to all the action, usually a walk or 10$ cab ride to anywhere we wanted to go. The hotel room was very clean, and nice. Everyone was very friendly, and we had no problems at all. The elevators are a bit slow, so we took the stairs instead most of time time. Had to let the water run for a few minutes to get warm water before turning the shower on, but besides that everything was great. I would definately stay here again, but if I was going again for the winter music conference I would maybe try to stay somewhere around the #1500's to #2000's on Collins Ave. and save 20 blocks of walking

Clean and the staff is pretty nice. A little far away from Southbeach area. Overall, it was a nice hotel and not as horrible as previous review. However, the structure of the hotel is kind of U shape. So unless you stay in the corner room. You can't really have the full view of the ocean. And when you see below the building, there is not much to see. But that is just something if I have to be picky. The hotel is quite worth of the money in general.

Initially the hotel appeared fairly clean and friendly.In the morning a leak in the ceiling caused a tile to give way and water ran in a suitcase,our 2nd day of a 9day trip and the clothes were wet and smelly.By the stained tile he leak was not new, with visible mold:explaining our child's asthmacough .When reported,the manager was not friendly. He offered us breakfast.I stated we did not want to stay and eat breakfast(dinner charges on our card could have been credited. Our Child forgot a gray coat there(believe in the restaurant at dinner).First a message was taken,they called and said they did not have our brown sweater.I stated we need a gray coat. They said they would call if found.not trusting they wrote gray coat down I called back, and was correct that they did not have gray coat written, and when I requested they look, they did not. I am not confident that they ever looked for the coat. The customer service voiced during the many calls did not represent concern or desire to assist us in finding the coat. I would not recommend staying at this hotel for both lack of cleanliness, and poor customer service.
