"Room was basic, clean and spacious. Services in the restaurant and bar were terrible, however. Too bad there are not any other food options close by. "

Not one thing! Location ed! This crappy holiday inn was not in downtown Atlanta. You could see the downtown skyline but it was not in downtown. There was no way to walk to anything. It was average at best. Worn, dated, ugly, and hanging over an interstate. I think I'll try hotels.com or some other website in the future.

The hotel had a great shuttle service within a 3 mile radius of hotel. Hotel was old and not in a great section of town. The hotel staff was wonderful. The hotel was clean and the shuttle service was great. Shuttle driver dropped us off at a great restraunt that he suggested. There is nothing close to the hotel except Turner Field. It was an older hotel and showed its age. I have stayed in nicer hotels, but the staff made up for what the hotel lacked.

No one seems to take on responsibility at this property. Passing the buck is common practice. It was difficult to get anyone to even book my reservation; I kept being transferred to different departments, each time being told that so-and-so would be able to help me. At check-in, the front desk was neither helpful nor hospitable. They were dismissive, uninterested, and rude! Decent enough accommodations, but the customer service was incredibly lacking!

Just went for leisure. Great location/staff. Very clean, shuttle was excellent. Was on time pick up and drop off was never a problem! Service all the main attractions for the entire family. Very clean and cozy, not too pricey. Daily room cleaning. Business center was reliable. Would stay Again!

My room was on the third floor and the entire floor had an awful smell the whole 3 days. Food trays and other trash stayed in the hallway for 3 days. There was food smeared on the sheets of one bed and a big red stain on the sheets of the other bed. The Housekeeping staff was awful. After calling three times, someone at the front desk finally answered and had someone bring sheets for me to put on my bed. I politely refused and without hesitation she changed the sheets. The food was good but slightly pricey. The tip is included in carry out orders from the restaurant and they still ask if you want your change. Overall, my stay was ok and I would stay there again. The front desk were very nice and the shuttle service was wonderful.

Loved how close Turner Field and downtown was. Great location! Parking fee. This hotel was clean and in a great location. You could simply walk to the game and back with ease. Downtown was just a short drive. Staff was friendly and helpful. We will be back!

View from the hotel and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. That there was no indoor swimming pool or more leisure time equipment, such as racket ball courts or a gym. Very friendly, helpful, neat. Missing more leisure activity equipment areas, such as gym, racket ball court or tennis court, and an indoor swimming pool.

Free wireless internet. Location for my event. As a note - on question 12 you are missing the option of leisure travel with friend. I was attending a concert downtown and this hotel was much farther from the venue than I anticipated. I realize you have to put it somewhere.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room looked out over the highway and the bar was under stocked and did not smell good. The hotel was very conveniently located near Highway 20. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice, though I ended up with a smoking room and I am not sure how that happened, so the smell was kind of bothersome. The breakfast buffet was delicious, though a bit pricey. The bar was all right, though they ran out of a lot of things while I was in there for an hour. The front desk staff was fabulous and helpful and the shuttle was great! Overall, a good experience.

Clean. The location and when the braves play they turn a two way street in front of the hotel into a one way. if your not from at all, it took 2 hrs to find it. Hotel was ok. You can tell it has had some renovations, but needs some touch ups. Location was very bad unless you are going to the braves game no place to eat any where local. The rest in the hotel was ok not much to choose from. It took us for ever to find a place to eat. Then when we finally found the hotel they changed the road to a one way and it took 2 hrs to find out how to get on the one way. The police directing traffic was very rude like we lived in atl. not very traveler friendly experience with kids.

Friendliness of front desk staff. Entry/exit into hotel was difficult depending on traffic. Awesome hotel. Perfect for any Braves outing. Excellent fitness room and beautiful common areas/lobby.

Really didn't like anything. Sorry. The room was dismal, smelly, and dirty. The staff didn't seem to care. I overpaid for this room. Stay away, unless you are specifically going to see baseball, because the stadium is located on top of turner field. You will be literally stuck on the premises because of baseball traffic gridlock, and if you do make it out you'll find it's impossible to return to the hotel due to traffic detours.

Clean, spacious bathroom. Poor location; dirty carpet; uncomfortable bed; expensive parking. I would say it is an exaggeration to call this a downtown hotel, because it's not a all close to the actual downtown area. The beds were very uncomfortable, and the carpet in our room was dirty. Parking at $18/night was too expensive for such a place.

The pillows were nice. The bed was not very comfortable. My back was pretty sore when I woke up. This hotel was not the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in, but it was acceptable. I wish it had been closer to other things to do. It's perfect for Braves fans who have traveled to Atlanta to watch a ballgame, because it is right next to Turner field. You could walk to a baseball game, but, nothing else.

The hotel staff was great and the rooms comfortable. Take advantage of the complimentary shuttle to downtown locations, it was a life saver.

Lobby was nice, but that is where it stopped. Rooms smelled musty and dirty, unhelpful staff. This hotel should not be listed as a 3 star. It is very dirty and the room smelled of mold. Parking was $15 and is far from "downtown". The front desk did not respond to the condition of the room. 3 other guests were complaining about the condition of the room during my talk with the front desk. You have much better options while visiting the cool city of Atlanta!

Nothing. Horrible location. Horrible location. Not in Downtown. Shuttle service and restaurants were bad for this level of hotel. Power went for 4 hours at night and hotel did nothing.

Friendliness of staff. I asked for a non-smoking room and received smoking. I enjoyed my stay at the Holiday Inn Select Grand Capital and my only complaint is that I called ahead and made sure that our room was non-smoking with two queen beds. But I received a smoking room. The room reeked of cigarette smoke which really bothered my husband's asthma.

Great comforts for great price, great location if using free shuttle/Marta bus. The great comfort at a great price. The 4-star-like rooms with superb cleanliness and no mars or any such 2-star-like problems. Bathrooms have granite tops and wonderful huge rainforest - style shower heads with recent refurbishing. The 2 hotel restaurants are convenient and fine establishments in their own rights. A large conference center in the building hosts all sorts of events, keeping the hotel busy. The location is just 2 walking blocks north of Turner Field, making it the best hotel for a Braves game. The Cyclorama and Zoo are just a 3 minute's shuttle ride away. The location seems out-of-the-way but is just. 8 minutes walk south down the spacious, safe Capitol Ave past the grand state capitol building from the GA State MARTA station's west/Piedmont Ave entrance. The hotel's free shuttle's 2 primary drivers are especially bright and cheerful staff, actually making one want to use the shuttle instead of anything else. A wonderful experience I'll repeat a 3rd time next time I visit ATL.

Close to business district. Charged too much for parking; room was dirty; ripped carpeting; leaky faucet. The $16 charge for parking is too expensive. The facility has obviously some serious wear and tear. Room carpet smelled moldy and was ripped in traffic areas.

That my stay there is over. Convenient to freeway entrances. Customer service was poor and customer service staff as well. Holiday In Select Capital Grand could not be possibly considered for a 3 or 4 star hotel. Rating at best could be 2.5 even with its restaurant and bar located within. Staff is very nonchalant and un-helpful when resolving issues, customer service is not a real priority for this staff.

Lobby, business center, fitness center. Unbelievably, there were no bellmen. The hotel was great. The service was terrible. No bellmen or concierge, the microwave we ordered never arrived (3 days), the toilet seat fell off but was fixed quickly. The hotel was great, the staff was friendly, but service just didn't happen.

Very friendly staff, clean and updated throughout. We had some trouble with parking access because of multiple sports events and hotel's proximity to arenas. Traffic! A very inviting, lively hotel near downtown and very nicely located to major events and attractions in downtown Atlanta. Staff friendly and professional at all times. Rooms spotlessly kept and tastefully decorated. Our experience in Atlanta was greatly enhanced by our stay at this hotel.

The hotel was a good fit for our trip. Location. The location of this hotel SHOULD NOT be Downtown Atlanta. It was 2 miles to downtown. The hotel had a shuttle that ran to downtown, but service was extremely limited.

The location was perfect. It was right off the highway I needed and it was so close to downtown. There was no parking outside of the hotel. I was very impressed with the location.
