Homestead Studio Suites is a superior tourist class hotel located on the west side of St. Louis. The staff goes out of their way to do the little things that can make a big difference. The hotel's location is convenient to area attractions as well as area businesses. The hotel is minutes to fine dining, shopping, and entertainment. Pet Policy- One pet per room is allowed. A 25 USD cleaning fee will be charged per night, not to exceed 150 USD. This charge will be applied at check-in.

The location was convenient to the interstate & the staff was very helpful. 1) Not a very clean hotel, 2) no pool. We got this hotel for $39/night. You get what you pay for. The 1st room we got looked like something had been burned in the tub & the room smelled smoky/musty. The staff willingly gave us another room that was fine, but the hotel doesn't seem to be well maintained. The staff was helpful in printing off driving directions when we asked where things were. Fortunately we had a full itinerary so we didn't spend much time at the hotel.

This is a no-service hotel. Limited front desk hours, no sheet/towel changing, and per my previous visits, it seems to be on a quick decline as far as how it is managed. A huge disappointment.

It was close to most of the attractions in St. Louis. It's what you can expect out of 1 star hotel. 1. Don't expect the front desk to pickup the phone after 5:00am. It goes to answering service. 2. Hotel lobby was filthier than super motel 8.3. Complains are well received at front desk and so are they forgotten by the time you leave the desk.4. They don't have a service man over the weekend (that's when most of us go out traveling). So you are on your own if something breaks like ours the shower.

This hotel had history for us and we hoped to recapture that. We were not successful. It was a major disappointment. We had to pay extra from Wi-Fi when places like McDonalds carry it for free. Ridiculous. No cleaning service the whole week! Dirty rag on entry. There was a dirty rag in the bathroom. We had to pay for internet service. The front desk first refused my credit card information even though my account more than covered the charges, and the entire week we were there we never once had maid service. It was only due to the location and convenience that we extended our visit one more day. Certainly was not due to the service we received. Very unfortunate, My husband and I have stayed here on 3 other occasions and the difference was night and day. It was like staying a different motel entirely. The staff was not friendly and frequently was not even at the front desk. We arrived in to check in pretty late, tired and exhausted and waited for the front desk staff to get back from a break. I was pleasantly surprised that there was a coffee maker in the room but the coffee was never replenished. We did not complain to the front desk because none of these are issues that we should have had to bring to their attention. We even went so far as to book members of our wedding party at this motel last year because we had such wonderful experiences. My only hope is that they didn't receive the same service we did this last visit.

Parking was plentiful. There was no breakfast. I had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable, the kitchen worked well, and the linens were clean and well made. I was somewhat upset, however, because the website showed a couch in the floor plan of each room at the hotel, yet there was no couch in our room. That was very disappointing. Plus, there was not breakfast served, and I can get breakfast at a cheap motel. Otherwise, it was a good experience and I would definitely return.

Nice location, Close to freeways and good restaurants. Room was not clean, dirty towels, coffee maker, floors, trash everywhere. Beds were not comfortable. The maid staff needs to have some supervision when they check the cleanliness of the rooms. The rugs need to be cleaned everywhere in the hotel.

It is cheap! A very ornate lobby for hotels of this kind - pleasant reception desk and a very inviting and comfortable lounge, with flat-screen HDTV, coffee counter and table. (I actually saw a foursome play bridge the night I was there.) Nothing that says wow, but I was there on business, so I had everything I needed.

The lobby was pretty. The kitchenette would be nice for long stays. Room was dingy. No shampoo, etc. No breakfast. Cheap bedspread and pillows. No staff was working at the desk at night. A maintenance man checked me in. The place gave me the creeps. Dingy, cheap room with awful comforter and pillows. No continental breakfast; just cheap coffee. No one was working at the front desk. Got yelled at by the maintenance man because I guess I wasn't supposed to be able to even get in the hotel that late!

Desk clerk wasvery friendly and helpful. Did not look clean, especially the bathroom. The hotel personnel were very friendly and as helpful as they could be, the rooms were very basic, the bathroom did not have a clean look to it, the toilet seat looked still stained and dirty, may need replacing. The remote for the TV was not operating properly and there was nothing to make me want to be there again at anytime.

Homesteadf St. Louis, Westport was not up to the standards that one would expect from our online travel website. The room was badly furnished with mismatached items. the dishes were at a minimum and no cleaning supplies were in the room, so we had to use bath soap. the floor (rug) was dirty and looked like only the open parts were ever cleaned. the room door did not fit so that you could use the dead bolt. the toilet sounded like a bomb going off every time you flushed. we would not stay at this place ever again. paul joachim

Property is a bargain--we stayed several days and it suited us fine. This is not a full service hotel, so don't expect one. It was clean and quite. Great bargain. They could improve their check-in process. Staffing appeared an issue, but overall satisfactory.

The front desk clerk was not around to answer door bell. Stood in Cold for 15 minutes. Family could not dial my room, and the operator/front desk would not answer the phone at 11pm.

Staff has been extremely friendly. Drawers would not shut in kitchenette. Staff is friendly and helpful. Not fancy place to stay but it is clean and has kitchenette with Microwave and Refrigerator. We are looking for something inexpensive since we are just spending a night before wife's doctor's appointment at Barnes Hospital.

Convenient location, quiet. Very basic. For my purposes, I would rather have an inviting lobby such as a Marriott Courtyard or even La Quinta Only for a longer-term stay would a pull man kitchen be necessary. I would have liked a hairdryer in the bath.

Staff very accommodating - reasonably safe area - good rate- good appearance. Standard cable TV poor - could of been cleaner - workout area pitiful. Staff was friendly and accommodating decent hotel for the price I needed a good rate to travel on my budget - decent location and the appearance was nice not embarrassing. Happy with it will stay again assuming I get the chance.
