Homewood suites was very comfortable with an excellent location, Perfect for people with children, although I don't have any. Excellent staff and a wonderful breakfast and light supper included wine and beer, no limits. Lots of shopping , sightseeing and restaurants all within easy walking distance. I would stay again and would not hesitate to recommend it to my friends. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful as well. Across from Nordstrom's and just walked thru it to the Magnificent Mile.

The bed was just as comfortable as any 5 star hotel, the room was attractive and well-appointed, with every convienience available. Excellent n every sense of the word.

Location was excellent was close to shopping, red line, shuttle everything was within walking distance. Hotel was very clean and the free breakfast was very good, kids woke up early every morning just to go to breakfast. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful, would stay here again.

We had a king suite; sofabed was used by our 13& 15 year old boys. We arrived a little before check-in time, but staff allowed us to check in and gave us an accessible suite. Living room was not huge, but comfortable for our 5-night stay. Boys had to walk through bedroom to get to bathroom. Two nice size closets in main living area. Bedroom had no closets but had a chest of drawers and plenty of room to set up suitcases. Pool is on top floor (19) and open till 11 pm. Nice to have late hours, and cool view of city lights at night. Very convenient location. Hotel is less than two blocks to red line. Across the street from Nordstroms and north bridge mall (with Lego store). Breakfast was good, and staff was attentive. Never tried the evening meal available weeknights. Baseball stadiums are on the red line, so convenient for attending games. Would definitely stay there again. Only negative, and this is picky, no towel racks next to tub. Had to put towel on floor next to shower.

Very easy to check in and out. Valet parking only was kind of a hassle. Room was geared towards extended staying guest, while I was there for one night. It was walking distance to just about anywhere significant in Chicago. Very friendly staff. Clean room. Free HBO.

So much nicer than some of the more expensive hotels in the city. The staff was great. A word of warning, bring your own blow dryer.

Hotel was in a very convenient location for shopping Michigan Ave. I would recommend eating at Joe's (on the same block) or Blackie's which is on the same road, however, on the other side of Michigan Ave. They had burgers the size of your head! The hotel was neatly kept and the front desk staff very friendly. The daily HOT breakfast buffet was very nice.

This hotel was wonderful. it was in a great location, right off the mag mile. the staff was very kind and helpful. we were able to check in early. we put our car in valet when we got there and didn't see it again until we left. we were able to walk, take a free trolley or take a short bus ride everywhere we wanted to go.they even locked up our bags after checkout, until we were ready to go home. the breakfast they offered was wonderful! there was plenty of variety. the view from our room and from the pool was lovely. it was a great experience, i would definitely stay here again.

My sisters and I go to Chicago yearly for a weekend getaway. Since there are 5 of us it is usually hard to find a hotel to accomodate our needs. We were so happy with the Homewood Suites that it will be our hotel of choice for our annual pilgrimage. The staff was all so friendly and even though our room wasn't ready exactly when we got there ( we were a couple hours early ) the bellhop checked our bags and told us where to find a bar in which we could knock back a couple beers and watch our favorite Cubbies. There were so many restaurants within walking distance and we were just paces away from Michigan Ave. so the location was perfect. The free breakfast was wonderful and I really appreciated the fact that there was a hostess so you didn't feel like someone was going to steal your chair when you went for refills. The food tasted great, too! The room was a good size and it slept the five of us quite easily. We had a terrific view from the 19th floor and really enjoyed the view from the pool area as well. We will definitely stay here every year!

Location, comfort of rooms, helpfulness of staff, wonderful hot breakfast. Elevators were a little slow, did not seem to be related to the amount of people in the hotel. Would definitely stay at the Homestead again. The location was great for access to the Loop/Theatre District and Michigan Avenue. Rooms were very comfortable and well equipped and most of the staff was very helpful and friendly.

I picked this hotel because of other reviews I read and was NOT disappointed. The hotel staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and prompt. Free coffee and tea all day. (Welcomed during cold weather!!!)Best feature(s): a fabulous Sunday morning brunch. We did not eat again until Sunday dinner! Free membership (during stay) to Crunch fitness next door & location to restaurants and El.Worst feature: You have to use valet parking, so go ahead and add 36 per 24 to your hotel price. But in Chicago, what other choice do you have?

The valet service was great. The front desk help was terrible! While the parking service was great - the front desk was terrible. We had a huge problem getting ice one night - we had none in our room so we went twice to get some - no one was there to help, called the front desk they promised to deliver some - none arrived so we called again - they said we had to come and get it and would not listen to what we had to say about what had already happened.

I enjoyed the room size and accommodations, and the service. I did not like the agent who checked us out. She was not rude, just not friendly. I would strongly recommend this property to anyone looking for spacious, comfortable, clean accommodations with style. The property was better than I expected.

Great location, good for travelers with children, nice amenities. This hotel was great for travelers with children. Nice breakfast and light dinner. The suite set up with stove, fridge, dishes, etc. were a great way to go when kids make meals out difficult.
