The Disneyland hotel is located 12kms away from Hong Kong International Airport, Tsing Yi 20kms, Tsim Sha Tsui 30 kms, Central 40 kms and Causeway Bay 40 kms. A well known deluxe property, suitable for all types of travelers. All rooms in both hotels can accommodate up to a maximum of (4) pax without extra charge, regardless of age or gender. The style of the building is reminiscent of the Victorian Era, but is more playful and relaxed - embellished by fanciful details, including complicated lattice work and balustrades, as well as scroll work, turn posts and curved moldings Snow white tower and red shingle roofs will made a dramatic first impression on guests. All rooms are large in size with modern facilities. Such as : Tea and coffee maker, heating, mini bar, in room safety box, smoke detectors and sprinkler system. Twin bed is consist with 2 double bed. All of rooms are spaciously laid out to accommodate up to a maximum of 4 pax. There are four restaurants and one pool side bar at the hotel. The Enchanted Garden restaurant is located at 1st floor. The Crystal Lotus is located at 3rd floor. The Grand Salon and Sorcere's Lounge is located at 3rd floor. The Kingdom Club is located at 7th floor. The Sea Breeze Bar is located on the Pool side. Upon entering the hotel, guests will be greeted with the Grandeur and excitement of a large Atrium space that has become the hallmark of Disney's resort hotels. Tall majestic palms and ferns set the mood in the grand lobby which reaches four stories to a ceiling adorned with an illuminated dome and ornate chandeliers. 12 kms to the nearest airport (hong kong), 36 kms to city centre, Close to the station (disneyland resort station), Close to the trade fair ground (asisa world expo).

A great hotel close to airport and great disney experience

Check in takes way too long given that the hotel was empty when we arrived. It still smells new but no ambiance worthy of the price we were charged.

We used Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel as the base for a 3 day vacation in HK (family of 4 US expats living in Seoul). We stayed in a balcony room facing the courtyard. Great place - very clean, freindly staff, good location. Not quite the "Disney atmosphere" you get in Orlando but the staff seems sincerely interested in making you comfortable, answering questions and helping you. My only concern was that meals at the restaurants in the hotel are expensive even by Disney standards. Example: Breakfast was outragiously for a very so-so continental buffet at $130 HKD for adults and $90 HKD for kids (not the character breakfast). For dinner, prices were more in line with what you recieved, but quality was only fair and choices limited. Kids menu available but kids are served on "kiddie" plates which upset my kids who felt they were treated like toddlers (7 and 11).

The good:
+ Access to Hong Kong easy via subway and cheap - about 20-30 minutes. Will be even better with direct Ferry service right off the pier at this hotel (Spring 2008 - not specific date).
+ Hotel in extremely good condition. Only 2 years old. Very nice, quiet rooms.
+ Freindly staff.
+ Great pricing.
+ There is a garden maze the kids love in the courtyard. A great example of simple fun for kids - Disney at it's best. Adults and kids were all smiles playing in this area.
+ Location is great - walk or shuttle to park. Easy access to HK or Airport.
+ Beds western soft types. Very comfy.

The bad:
- Hotel food not very good (western or asian). Also food is very expensive considering what is provided.
- Access to off-site food not easy. Taxi or shuttle/subway ride
