General Description

The hotel is located very close to the Piazza Barberini and to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza di Spagna, Quirinale and the Parliament buildings. It is also very well connected by public transport to the main tourist attractions. The hotel is totally new and has completed renovated the style. 0310 LB. This is an old, 7-storey palace from the eighteenth century, in keeping with the surrounding area. Rooms are medium in size and well refined. They are fresh, modern in style and equipped with refined decors. The medium sized lobby has marble floors covered with some fine rugs, blue and white striped wallpapers. It is furnished with black leather loveseats and small armchairs. The marble reception desk, the style and the finishing touches, such as the marble statues representing ancient Romans, provide a bit of ancient Roman atmosphere. There is just a breakfast room, which is nicely decorated with marble floor and vertical orange and white striped wallpaper on the walls. Small round tables, which can accommodated up to three guests, are dressed with cream-coloured tablecloths, and the chairs are decorated in blue and cream colours. An attractive crystal chandelier hangs in the middle of the ceiling, giving the finishing touch to this charming area. 1 km to the nearest station (termini), 20 kms to the airport (ciampino), 20 kms to the airport (fiumicino), 3 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 3 minute walk to the nearest metro station (barberini), 45 km to the nearest beach, 7 km to the nearest fair site (fiera di roma).

Very disappointed by the standard of this hotel - it was rated 4 star, but was more accurately 2 stars. The room and bathroom were unclean, the floor was dirty with stains and cement marks in it. The plug sockets were hanging from the wall. In addition, fire extinguishers were missing from the fire points. The breakfast was poor in quality and the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. I would not stay or recommend here again, despite being well-located.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I do quite a bit of traveling, and this place was far and away the worst. The service is extremely rude. They convieniently ""lost"" my party's reservation and had us stay in 2 seperate rooms for 100 euro more than the origional reservation. We arrived very late and did not have time to find another hotel, they definitely took advantage of the situation. Stay away.

Perfect location for all services and places of interest. Very helpful and friendly staff. breakfast typical European, cold meats, cereals etc. adequate. Room very clean. bathroom, no shower but adequate. Friendly environment . Only one issue, room could do with some kind of sound proofing from traffic noise outside, very noisy at night, perhaps a room at the rear of the building might be better. Otherwise excellent value for money, would definitely recommend it and would come back if visiting Rome again. Made a wonderful few days in Rome complete.

On the whole this was a very good hotel,the staff were very helpful, a great location, and very clean. I requested a double room, sheets and towels changed every day. the breckfast was'nt too brillient, but adequate. I would return to Rome and this hotel.

this place was fantastic for location, just around the corner literally from barberini station and a 10 min walk from termini. the hotel was clean, had air con, was comfortable and very quiet so we slept brilliantly here. we enjoyed this hotel, even though a little daggy in the decor it could do with a renovation, but it is good value for money and in a good spot. breakfast was also very good here.

Very poor internet access. It was expensive and they did not have any internet cards available whatever they are. In this day and age all reasonable hotels should provide such facilities that are inexpensive and accessible.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Room was dirty, front desk staff was rude (one nice person but i do not recall his name...others were simply rude). Shower dirty with shower head at chest level. Carpets are threadbare, stained, and worn...maybe dirty difficult to tell. Sheets dirty, bathroom floor dirty. This place was NOT updated in 1991...more like 1971. Hard mattresses, tiny TV, old furnishings. No ammenities - internet did not even work at higher than normal prices for access.

I'd stay on the subway overnight rather than stay here again.
