The Avion Hotel, PRAGUE was quite a surprise. there was much more quality than we expected. The rooms were nice, the dining room positively exquisite. The hotel staff couldnt have been more helpful. Example: I had an early flight back to the U.S. and so had to leave the hotel at 5:15am. The hotels night clerk gave me a wake-up call at 4:30 and had a taxi waiting at 5:15 just as I asked. In my rush to leave, I left a digital camera in the lobby. As I arrived at the airport, I realized that I didn't have my camera. The taxi had left, so I called the hotel wherein the clerk advised me that my camera was there where I had left it. I asked him to quickly call another taxi and send the camera to the airport as fast as possible. This he did, and the camera arrived just in time for my flight. I wish I had gotten that clerks name, because although the camera was insured and could be replaced, the two weeks of photographs could not. So I cant say enough about my stay there. The only issue at all, is that the hotel is a little out of the downtown area. That's OK however for people who might prefer a more quite neighborhood. Transportation is close by and a quick ride to the center of town.
