I have been relieving about the decor and the location. There is nothing that I did not like about the Burnham. Since my stay at the Burnham, I have been raving about the charming decor and the convenience of the location. Each of the staff members was polite and courteous. I will recommend this hotel to everyone that is Chicago bound! You may even want to extend your stay once you have visited the Burnham.

Exceptional service, food delicious, friendly and accessible to restaurants, sightseeing and cultural events. The place was beautifully decorated! The restaurant was on the expensive side, but very good. Please see #12. My husband and I have raved about the hotel to all our family and friends. We went for our 33rd anniversary and we would go back again in a minute.

This was a great hotel. The room was smaller, but still worked great. The hotel staff was very friendly. My mom and I came into town to catch a show, so the location was perfect. The room was clean and attractive, just a little small. It was not too busy either. Perfect for shopping on State Street.

Great location and very knowledgeable concierge. Having a car is not necessary because everthing is accessible via public transportation. Rooms are small. Adequate room for 2 people but cramped when more than 2 are gathering in the room. This hotel was a great! Well worth the price we paid. Great location and the staff was both friendly and knowledgeable. Nice decor, clean and inviting. We plan on returning to the Burnham.

Excellent Hotel for a good price. Great service, food, friendly The maid moved our cell charger and we forgot it. The Burham was a nice experience. It was beautifully decorated and offered friendly service. The restaurant was excellent for breakfast, and we especially enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting on the evening we arrived. The room was clean, well decorated with a fantastic view. We will come back.

Beautiful, clean, classy, and great location. The valet service lost our car. The hotel itself was very nice, but the valet service lost our car the day we were checking out. They could not find the claim ticket, key, or car and it took over an hour after my husband had to ride in another hotel guest's car with the valet attendant to several parking lots to identify our car. We did get free parking, but it wasn't worth the hastle!

Unique, attractive decorating in all areas. The lobby area was quite small and did not accomodate many guests. Great location. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Some rooms had great views downtown.

Great location, beautiful & historic hotel. Tight on space. My wife and I loved staying here. We know we got lucky with the room we ended up in (not only did several staff mention that to us, but, fellow guests we talked to described their rooms as much smaller, etc). None the less, the location is fantastic. We will definitely check into staying here again when next in Chicago.

Very good customer service. Friendly staff and small yet elegant hotel. No pool, but plenty to do in Chicago so not a huge deal since kids stayed home. What a great value. Small, yet elegant hotel located in heart of Chicago theatre district. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I don't know which I liked more: the location or the really friendly staff! The rooms were pretty small, but that was part of the European effect.

The staff seemed positively thrilled to be there. The location can't be beat. Everything was elegant in the extreme, and spotless. The food in the in-house restaurant was super. The valet parking was shockingly expensive.

We were very excited about returning to Chicago our previous home town of over 35 yrs. Online, the hotel seemed nice. The doorman was excellent. The front desk was not very friendly. The construction noise is unbearable.I cannot believe this hotel placed us in a room so close to the construction. At 8 pm state street was closed to traffic, the construction trucks rolled in, and the noise began. Againts my better judgement I decided to stay the night. I voiced my concern to the front desk. Their reply was that they can give me some ear plugs. $300 a night and this is all you are going to do for me? The room was the smallest I ever stayed in with a tiny TV and no coffee pot . I urge you to consider staying somewhere else. At least untill the construction is over. The cafe was nice but there are a lot of excellent restaurants in Chicago. That is what we miss about chicago the most.

Staff at this hotel were very friendly and willing to help. Very small, boutique hotel, with the smallest guest rooms you will ever encounter. I would compare their size to extreme budget rooms in Paris. Some would call the decor eclectic, others would call it bizarre. Extremely noisy, with lots of street noise, antique elevators, and undergoing construction. On site restaurant was good, NOT 5 star, as advertised. Typical breakfast entrees were $20. Many wars going on between restaurant staff & management.

The bed and pillows were the best I have slept on in a hotel. The view was not very pleasant. The people were very nice and went out of their way to help. The hotel was beautiful and clean and the rooms were very comfortable.

Very clean and great atmosphere. The valet service was poor. The hotel was fine but not worthy of 4 stars. On two separate occasions we were treated like second class citizens. We were informed by the hotel management that our reservation was made through an "opaque" source so we did not qualify for their rewards program, etc. I would not stay at this hotel again with the way we were treated.

The Hotel Kimpton was a nice hotel. But at check in I called ahead to see if I could check in early about 2:30 instead of the 3:00 they said it wasn't possible. I had dinner plans at 4:15 so I was at the hotel at 3:00 they informed me it would be a bit around 3:20 I took a walk and came back at 3;30 and was informed that it would be 4:00 I told them this wasn't going to do. Front desk person said they would do the best the could I finally got into the room at 3:55 made my dinner and was happy. My only complaint was to inform guest of the correct times.

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the Complimentary Wine Reception for guests. First class! Our 20 year-old, very cosmopolitan daughter loved it too. If you have traveled in Europe and stayed at any of the small, elegant hotels many Europeans frequently, you will love this hotel. Rooms are small, but large enough and perfectly appointed. The beds are very comfortable and between the accommodations and staff, your every need has been anticipated. The architecture, the art in each room and in public places, the dark wood in the lobby and hallways create a feeling of Chicago in the early 1900's. I have stayed in the Windy City dozens of times, but never at this hotel - a real gem!

The location of this historic hotel is perfect. My request for a top floor room with a view was granted cheerfully . We liked the touch of having a small goldfish in the room-the perfect pet for our stay! Very high quality furnishings and bedding.

Location was fantastic, close to shopping, theaters, and bus routes. Not a lot of counter space in the bathroom. The hotel has character and style, definitely doesn't look like a generic mega-chain building or room. The staff was very polite and helpful, especially the night concierge. Very atmospheric, extremely convenient. Liked it very much and felt quite safe as a woman traveling alone.

I loved the old feel of luxury that hotel gave off. They accidentally charged me for valet, even though I didn't bring a car, they corrected it quickly. I thought this hotel was beautiful. It has a great location and our room looked right onto the center of state street. The rooms are a little small, so if your a bigger family I would worry about space. Other then that it was one of my favorite hotels.
