veyr easy to find and wonderfully helpful and friendly people working there. I dont need to look any further next time in Venice as Melogrando has everything I could ask for at that price. Christian

Next time I go to Venice I will try to get a room in this hotel even if it is a little bit more expensive. If you walk it is 25 min away from the San Marco squire, which was not a problem for me, since it is through a very nice shoping streets and you see lots of other points of interest on the way.

Excellent position, Room was very clean and large but very basic. service was very good, even did us a packed breakfast as we had an early depature.

The staff were all wonderfully helpful and friendly. You need to note that the reception, and indeed the hotel in general, is unstaffed from 11 p.m. and that if your flight is late, as ours was, that you need two zeros at the starty of the phone number if using your mobile! we arrived at 23.10 to a note and we managed to follow instructions and be let in! The hotel is literally 60 metres from the St Marcuola vaporetto stop and easy to find BUT the sign is tiny! The hotel abuts the first side canal to your right (as you leave the vaporetto) off the Grand canal and is literally just after the footbtridge over it. The whole of Venice is expensive but the reception at this hotel helped to let you noyt care!

We were greeted personally by the receptionist, who turned out to be the owner, with smiles and good humour. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel staff were very helpful and we had a wonderful time at the hotel - and of course in Venice in general.

Very clean hotel just off the beaten track in a great area of Venice. You can walk to all the major sites from here. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
