This hotel is in a great position. it is walkin distance to all the major attractions.10 mins from Centraal Station on foot.We had a quad room which was spacious and clean. The beds were very comfortable and the linen clean.Clean towels left every day.I would recomend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent copmpared to others in this class and street!Just the job for a short overnight stay although beware - no air con.

The Hotel de Gerstekorrel has a fabulous location, on the edge of Dam Square & just outside the Red Light District. It's pretty much as central as you can get in Amsterdam & ideal for seeing the sights.On the street outside the hotel are plenty of restaurants, bars & a fabulous bakery - so don't worry about the hotel not having a restaurant.........It's a good place to stay if you're looking for 'no Frills' accomodation, which is clean, comfortable & reasonably priced with friendly & helpfull staff.

Really pleasant staff in a hotel which is right in the centre of Amsterdam. Clean rooms, good shower room etc. Would definitely stay here again.
