We arrived at the Estherea at 9:30 a.m. after a 12 day cruise and were warmly greeted by the hotel, despite the early arrival. The hotel is a beautifully furnished, inviting European hotel with fresh flowers and stained glass around the waiting area, We felt welcome from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful in giving directions and ideas about what to do and see on our short stay there. The hotel is within walking distance to the city center and other sites. The room was small but very clean and very nicely furnished. There is a breakfast room on premise (which we did not have an opporutnity to use), but the hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants. There is complimentary tea and coffee throughout the day. We would highly recommend this hotel!

A lovely small hotel. You won't appreciate its wonderful location until you've familiarized yourself with the city. Walk to Nine Streets, Jordaan, Flower Market. Discover Spui. Some rooms are very small--they warn you about that. Ours was very large by Euro standards, with a canal view.
