Hotel Milano Corso GenovaA perfectly acceptable mid- to upper quality Hotel with helpful, friendly, and mostly English-speaking staff, decently-priced (at least at laterooms prices!) and well located just outside the inner ring road around Milan's old city (eg Cathedral 20 mins on foot, 5 by tram). Limited facilities (no restaurant but excellent buffet breakfast - and plenty of trattorias, cafes, etc nearby), and single-occupancy rooms on the small side. But generally a good choice for a business or tourist visit in a town which can be pricey.

This is a fantastic value-for-money hotel: 3 star but feels much more like a 4. I had a normal double, my parents a superior (possibly worth it for the extra space and if you prefer a bath rather than just shower). Everything was spotless and hotel staff very friendly. Good breakfast. Highly recommended.

Ideal for a city breakI chose this hotel for a city break and for this it was ideal. On arriving in Milan at 11pm we got a taxi from central station to the hotel which cost 20 euros. At this late hour the receptionist was efficient and friendly. The room was small for a double but very clean with clean white sheets and a clean bathroom, which to me is more important. Breakfast was a typical continental offering...the earlier you got there the more there was to choose from! Location was excellent although the Taxi ride is longer, to walk too the city centre took 15 mins or you can hope on a tram at the top of the road and be in the the centre in 5mins. Although there are plenty of cafes and restaurants close by.

Good location and value for moneyThis hotel is within walking distance of the centre of town and the Navigli district (restaurants and clubs etc). Excellent value for money, rooms are smallish but adequate. Breakfast is good for Italy. My only complaint was that you can hear the doors of the other rooms slamming very loudly in the morning, but otherwise it is on a quiet street. As long as you are not looking to sleep in it is fine!
