Hotel Monopole is right across the street from Stazione Centrale, a metro station and bus stops so it is in a good location for anyone who doesn't want to get lost finding the hotel. The metro station and buses in front of the station get you quickly to shopping and tourist sites (buy a metro/bus ticket at the news stands). The room I was in had a single bed and a private bath and it was nice enough--not fantastic, but clean and safe. 1 hour of free internet in the lobby and free buffet style breakfast included.

The hotel is located very close to the central train station, which is not the best neighborhood of Milano, but located centrally. The hotel staff is very nice and helpful. They have a free internet workstation available. Breakfast is not the best but not very bad. Rooms are OK. Overall, if you get a good price, it's really worth it, and probably one of the best bargains around the train station. However, if you aren't planning on going out until really late in Milano, I would recommend to find a nicer hotel a little bit out of the center of Milano - the rooms are better and cleaner there, and the neighborhood is probably better.

Very closely (about 5 mins walk) located to Milan Central Station. Staffs were friendly and helpful. The new wings of the hotel is more spacious then the old wings. Buffer breakfast provided is cold but sufficient. There's a pastry shop and laundry shop near by if you need it.
