one night stayJust breaking a journey and a thoroughly good experience. Great breakfast. For single travellers the breakfast room has single tables with TV which must help when eating alone. Room modern and clean, no issues. Very helpful staff for directions to town which is a stones throw away on foot. Underground parking a clincher and free on our deal but normally £7 a night- all other hotels seem to charge £12 or more for less secure local?? car parks.

Groups on stag nightsNice hotel, good staff, room as expected etc etc etc. Only problem, with this place is the amount of groups on stag nights. Getting woke up constantly from about 3 am onwards to what sounded like a riot on the corridors or someone returning and wanting to shout/sing/ wake everyone else on that floor.As I said, nice hotel, spoilt by numerous idiots who can't handle a beer. And this is not a one off, stayed here before and had dead the same problem, even had people fighting in the corridors.

Stayed for Valentines DayWe normally stay at the Park Plaza or the Marriot, but there was no availability for Valentines day, so stayed here instead. Didn't know what to expect after reading mixed reviews. However I have to say I was really impressed. I stayed in a standard room, but it was plenty big enough, there was a sofa, a fridge you can put your own drinks in. The Valentines meal was lovely and the breakfast was to. I was impressed with the hotel carpark, it saved carrying your bags for miles. The reception staff were helpful & polite, and it was very busy. Would definetly stay here again over some of the other hotels mentioned.

Phil Davies ReviewEnjoyed the stay. Excellent customer service at reception and in the bar. Staff were very friendly and courteous.My only adverse comment (and this relates to many large hotels): how to get the room cooler. The windows are secured such that no through draft is possible.

Lovely fresh bagettes for breakfast. Close to city centre for walking and access to TIC at railway station.

Cheap as chips and great place to stay.....Lovely hotel to stay in for 50 quid for 2 for the night !! staff were a great help, very friendly and helpful, rooms were nice and clean and modern, obviously not plush for this price but better than some I have paid three times this rate for !!
